My bestie chose this place for birthday dinner, although none of us had been here before we agreed to give them a try. We all agree on prefixed menu $45/ 3 course it wasn't so bad with a little up charger for seafood options. I ordered scallops, fish and Kit-Kat dessert. I loved the scallops wish they served more than just one, wasn't a fan of my salmon it was a bit dry! And Kit-Kat Bar weren't as what I had expected, although I'm not a huge chocolate fan so I shouldn't have ordered them. Over all we had a great time despite the food, we were having so much fun at times our neighbors had to ask us to quite down. Restaurant staff was friendly, our server was a little slow but we didn't mind. Wow what a cute little French bistro! My friend has been here before and was like we should check this place out for brunch. We were easily able to get reservations for a large-ish party the day of, and they were extremely accommodating as we added numbers to the party. I also think it was very cute that the hostess who answered the phone spoke in a French accent and gave it an authentic feel like you're visiting a cafe in Paris. The food itself was amazing. I got the savory crepe special which was chicken with cheese and a mushroom sauce on top. It was probably the best crepe I've ever had. The flavors were rich and complex and balanced each other so well. Some people got the Eggs Benedict, one of my friends got the mushroom omelette, another got the French Toast, and then one of them got the pancakes. Regardless of what people ordered, they loved it and said it was one of the best pancakes/ omelettes they had ever had. The service was also great in person and overall just a very solid place. My friend and I really enjoyed a Sunday boozy brunch at Bistronomic. We ordered the burger (messy but delicious), the eggs Benedict and their truffle fries to share. My friend can't eat dairy and the eggs benedict was the only dairy-free option, but thankfully she loved it. We also got the fries without Parmesan and they were still delicious - crispy and perfectly seasoned. Everything was great food-wise but the best part of the meal were the endless mimosas. They were delicious yet strong, and had the perfect champagne to OJ ratio. Although it was really busy, our glasses stayed full the entire meal. They had a specific person separate from the waiters designated to keeping glasses full which I appreciated. My only complaint is that the waiting area to be seated is EXTREMELY tight - it feels like you're in everyone's way haha. Also, although our reservation was for 1:00, we weren't seated until about 1:20. No big deal, but we booked it at 1:00 so that we could take full advantage of our hour and a half time slot (since brunch ended at 2:30). So if you're planning on enjoying their mimosa deal, I would recommend making your reservation for 12:45 at the latest so that you can get your money's worth. This is one of the best spots in Chicago to go to if you're seeking a bottomless mimosa experience. I visited this establishment on 3/21/21 in a party of 3 individuals. We paid our individual bill and left the establishment, as any other patron would do. Days later after the dining experience, we observed that we were charged an automatic gratuity by our server, Raul. My friend initially reached out to the establishment about this charge to inquire about the establishment's rule around automatic gratuity - she was told a party of 5 or more people would result in an automatic gratuity (again. we were a party of 3). She spoke with the owner, Lulu about this, and Lulu asked her to provide more information and stated she would take care of it. My friend informed me of her conversation with Lulu, which prompted me to call as well. When I called on 3/31/21, an employee named Patrick answered the call. I explained the situation and he took my phone number to share with the owner (I wasn't impressed by the customer service provided by Patrick as well). Lulu called me later in the afternoon on 3/31/21, and she let me know that she had spoken with my friend as well. Lulu asked for me to text a picture of my receipt (which I did while we were on our call). Lulu acknowledged that a party of 3 people did not meet the automatic gratuity rule, and asked if I'd like a refund or credit (I elected to receive a refund). Lulu said she would call me again the next day (also mentioned that I could text her) - I asked her to send me a reply message confirming receipt of my text with a picture of my receipt, which she did. I followed up on 4/2/21 in the early evening via text and resent the picture of my receipt - I did not receive a response. At the time of this post, I have not received a return call as well. Being automatically charged a gratuity outside of an establishment's policy that defines when an automatic gratuity should be applied is bad business. Perhaps the waiter viewed my table of 3 women as individuals that would not tip... view my profile picture and assume what you'd like from that. I will attempt to call again to resolve this matter, but I will never return to this establishment - you've essentially cheated me out of money and have not worked to resolve the matter in a swift fashion. read more

We made a last-minute reservation on what turned out to be a lively Saturday night--I think everyone was out on this first truly nice evening in spring. Had never been here and didn't know how we'd be received with our squeezed-in booking, but the hostesses could not have been more gracious. We were seated at a small table for two by a back hallway, but considering the circumstances, we had no complaints--and the placement turned to be fine at any rate. After sharing a pate de campagne, my husband and I ordered two classic bistro entrees: my husband had the filet au poivre and I the roast chicken. Both met expectations nicely. My chicken was tender, flavorful, and had a perfectly crisp skin. (My only complaint was that it was a bit over salted.) We had several glasses of wine between us--very nice, and very reasonably priced. The wait staff were pleasant and efficient and allowed us a leisurely pace, which I greatly appreciated. I went here for Restaurant Week 2017 and wanted to try French food! I chose this place since Choose Chicago listed it as one of the best deals you can get for restaurant week and I'm glad I did! The experience was great and I will definitely come back to try the other foods on their menu. The entrance was kinda confusing as it was a revolving door but there was a thick curtain hovering over the entrance? Make sure you go through the curtains otherwise you will keep going around in the revolving door (which I almost did!) Service: Service was great! We were greeted by the hostess, who took our coats for complimentary coat check. The waitress explained the menu and was friendly. The busboys took our plates away at the right time when we were done eating and they would immediately come with the next dish. Their timing was excellent and this provided an excellent dining experience! The owner even came by our table twice and asked how our food was. So nice! Ambience: the restaurant was dimly lit, which made it romantic. The bar was in the middle of the restaurant which was cool. I didn't like that the tables were close together, which made it feel small and cramped but it didn't bother me too much. Food: For Restaurant Week dinner, it was $33 for an appetizer, entree, and dessert (good deal!). I ordered the Black Mussels for my appetizer (normally $15.50 for a plate) which was served "chowder style" according to the menu. It was mussels in the middle of the plate sitting in broth topped with buttered croutons. I loved the sauce and I could not stop drinking the broth with my mussels. I wish the mussels were a bit bigger (they were the size of clams) but the taste definitely made up for it. This was my favorite dish of the night. For my entree, I ordered the Braised & Confit Duck Legs (normally $17.50). I usually don't like duck but this was very tender and I especially loved the lemon zest! The duck was seasoned well. I wish the portion was a little bigger but like I said, the taste makes up for it. There was also some sauce on the plate, which complemented the seasoning on the duck, so good! It also came with beans which I didn't like (I don't like beans, personal preference) but my friend loved it! For dessert, I ordered the Lemon Curd Tart which was basically a Lemon Meringue. It was super tarty and lemony but a refreshing and tasty end to finish my course! I liked my friend's Vanilla Custard, which tasted like Creme Brulee. So impressed with Bistronomic. Exceptional service and food. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a hospitable host. She walked us to the bar as our table wasn't ready (me and my husband did arrive early for our date night). The bartender was so knowledgeable about the drinks. The handoff from moving from the bar to the table was so seamless. Some restaurants let you walk with your drinks to your table but the hostess immediately took our drinks for us and placed them on our table. The bartender even walked over with our sparkling water bottle and glasses. Now the star of the show was Eddy, our server. Initially we ordered what sounded good, however, my husband asked Eddy to order us the best of the menu. Eddy really took care of us - from the service, to his food recommendations and wine pairings. I wish I'd discovered Bistronomic sooner. We had a fantastic time dining on their cozy sidewalk patio, where the tables are nicely socially distanced. The gnocchi appetizer was incredibly tasty, and could even serve as an entree. I ordered the lobster salad for my main (which is a special currently) and loved how much lobster was included, as well as the fresh burst of citrus. My boyfriend ordered the lobster fettuccine which was fabulous as well. Definitely recommend trying out their cute patio for a lunch or dinner before the weather gets too cold! read more

We wanted to try a French restaurant and decided to try Bistronomic on a Sunday. We made reservations for lunch time. When we arrived, I noticed their menu for the weekend is brunch only. The lunch menu is only offered during the week. I was disappointed about this because it was not stated on their website. We made the most of it and decided to still try their brunch menu. We got the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, wild mushroom omelet, and flat iron steak with eggs. The food was good and fresh, but I probably wouldn't come here again for brunch. My favorite dish was probably the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The fries here is a must. So delish! They do offer $18.95/person for bottomless mimosas if you are interested. Their service here is good and prompt especially with refilling our waters. I will try this place again during the week for the regular menu or dinnertime for the French food and hopefully give it more than 3 stars. read more

Little pricy, but worth it. $100 per plus drinks. I had the foie gras (Yum) followed by a short rib filet combo in a red wine reduction. Out of this world. FREE CHEF NOGUIER!!! This man's wonderful wonderful food is being held hostage by service and host-staff so incompetent and/or rude that it's ruining the magic he's creating in the kitchen. The front of the house is in no way reflective of the mastery of the back of the house. The problem is, however, the first impression one makes of Bistronomic is from the front of the house. And, let me tell you, that impression is not a good one. My party arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. Having dined at Eve, I knew the wait area of the restaurant was pretty shallow but -- again, from my experience at Eve -- arriving on time and waiting near the hostess stand should translate into getting seated promptly. Only, this is not Eve. We arrived and moved toward the hostess stand -- and were shooed away by the hostess. I kid you not. We should have left. We didn't (our error) and moved to the center of the front area. We were then told by the host that we were 'hovering in the way' and should 'stand over there.' 'Over there' was by the men's room. Yes. Waiting to EAT our meal, we were instructed to stand by the men's room, inhale the appetizing aroma and WAIT to be seated FOR OUR RESERVATION. So, the restaurant's unpreparedness for a set reservation equals no apology to the patrons waiting to spend money. It, instead, translates into being moved around and shuttled to the bathroom. During our wait, however, other tables were sat. Their reservations *must* have been before ours -- even though they arrived after the fact. That *must* be it. Right? Fifteen minutes *after* our reservation time, we finally got our table. Ten minutes after that, our waitress came by with menus. Twenty minutes after that we received the wine list. Fifteen minutes after that, we received our bread. Are you following all of this? It was AN HOUR AFTER OUR RESERVATION before we were sat, given menus, wine list, and bread. And, all the while, others were seated before us. Why oh why didn't we leave? Because I'd eaten Chef Noguier's food before and it's wonderful. But even the best food in the world should not be accompanied by rude service. I take some blame for not leaving, hence the two stars instead of one. By this time, I just want to eat and leave. The waitress comes back, we order our food and wine (during which she insults my friend who ordered). That was the last time we saw her. The rest of our meal was tended to by the extremely competent bus boy staff. They brought our meal, water AND WINE -- which we poured ourselves. Ri.Dic.U.Lous. The food was every bit as good as I expected, but I didn't have much of an appetite. I couldn't have much of a conversation either as we were in the side room with an incredibly loud party of drunks who whooped, screamed and OMG'ed for the duration of our stay. That party was never addressed by the host staff. I would have complained to our waitress if I'd ever seen her after taking our order. So, having consumed a meal and a bottle of wine (wanting another but never given the option of purchasing one), we were beyond ready to leave. After waiting another 25 minutes (15 for our plates to be cleared), I found the hostess and asked for the bill after explaining that I hadn't seen the waitress in over an hour. That's right. She never asked how our food was, if everything was correct, if we wanted more wine. Nothing. Never saw her. I saw Chef Noguier greeting patrons in the main dining room but he never made it over to our area. Hmm, I wonder why. So much of the evening was/is a mystery. Where's that sarcasm button? The waitress brings us our bill and asks if we want anything else. I couldn't believe my ears. No. I want nothing more from this sham of a restaurant. I haven't felt that unwanted at an establishment in quite some time. I would *never* return and would implore all those I know not to make the mistake that I did. That mistake? This is our new neighborhood go-to French restaurant. It surpassed Bistrot Margot and Bistrot Zinc in food quality and Cafe des Architectes in price. It's decided after our impromptu dinner this weekend. Bistronomic proved itself by delivering power punches in every single dish and with personable and attentive service from beginning to end. Jazz tunes ensured a place in our hearts. The space reminds me of any other bistrot except that it's smaller. Mirrors help to give the illusion of amplitude. The employees were all cheerful and attentive. Our own server, Mahalia, charmed us by calling us "love" and explained her partial New Orleans heritage. We were entranced as we observed her gracing every guest. Although we became most familiar with Mahalia, all of the employees were exemplory in their tasks from the hostess who cheerfully greeted us to the man who shyly bused our table. I chose the $40 Pre Fixe menu. I started with the Cauliflower Veloute which was foamy soup poured over a pile of goat cheese, croutons, and basil pesto. I loved the flavor combinations and textures. They went from rich, earthy creaminess to bright piquancy to delicate crunch of the brioche and soft caress of the cheese. Next I enjoyed the Seared Ahi Tuna which was served with two purees: rhubarb and butternut squash on top of a bed of fennel and onions. Once again, I had a wonderful experience. The tuna was fresh and firm. The exterior was only slightly seared and the inside was bright pink. I enjoyed the change in flavor from the peppery sear to the fresh, moist interior. I eagerly tried it by itself, and with various combinations of the onions, fennel, and purees. I liked them all, but the rhubarb one stood out for me with it's creamy, sour, vanilla sweetness. Finally, I had the Chocolate Hazelnut Bars. M dove at them before me and declared them to be a much improved KitKat bar. The bottom was crispy and the top was firm but decadent like the inside of a chocolate truffle. It was served in a pool of strawberry sauce which was good but hardly necessary. M had the Bistronomic Escargot which is the best escargot we've had in a very long time. M's Mussels and Frites were also superb - especially the fries. The fries were perfectly seasoned and delicately crispy changing to soft. Our entire meal came to a dollar or two over $100 for both of us and included a glass of wine and a glass of port. Really, everything was on-point for a fabulous evening and catapulted Bistronomic to our new local French restaurant. read more

Located in the old Eve space, Bistronomic had been open for about a month and a half at the time of my visit. Sadly, they are still having some of the pacing problems of a newly opened restaurant. For the food was pretty good, but the service? Mon dieu! We arrived on time for our reservation, but couldn't find the valet anywhere to take our car. I finally went inside and they called him on the phone which got him there pretty quickly. Our table wasn't ready yet, so they sent us to the bar. Now if you were ever here when it was Eve- they have a few of the same flow issues that they had back then. The small bar is in the back so you either stand up front by the hostess stand pretty much next to people eating their dinner. Or you push through the seating area to the small bar in the back and then stand by those people eating their dinners. Not great in either instance. We were seated in a small two top along the wall and both the special prix fixe menu as well as the regular menu were given to us. Our server stopped by and this is where some of the service issues began. When I asked him what his favorites were on the menu- he said he didn't have time right now to discuss it as he had to open a bottle of wine at another table. Hmm . . . so why did he stop by and ask if we had any questions? When he finally came back, and we ordered, (with no help from our server) we commented on the lack of wines available by the glass, and the noise level in the place which is high. Our first course was chacuterie and cheese. This was quite tasty. Served with toasted raisin bread, and walnuts- this was a great way to start our evening. Next up- I had the tuna tartar- served in a little jar with avacados on top. Perfectly seasoned and great on the toast that was provided. My least favorite dish of the night was the Amish chicken. It was just okay and while the mushroom ragout was quite tasty- I would have liked a little more flavor or even some type of potato to enjoy with it. The biggest issue of our experience was the pacing. Dinner took 2.5 hours and we waited 40 minutes for our Baked Alaska dessert. Granted- they did take it off the bill as we were leaving when it finaly showed up- but I don't know if the kitchen was having issues or if our server was just not putting the orders in- but it took "leisurely dining expereince" to a whole new level! Dinner for two with drinks ran about $100. There seems to be a trend right now with French restaurants opening up. The concept here is nice. The plates come in small, medium and large sizes and the prices are quite reasonable. But the service is what keeps me coming back to a place and for me, Bistronomic needs to get this under control in order to compete with the other french places in town. read more

This was a brunch boozy enough to be compared to Taverna 750...assuming you do the bottomless mimosa special, obviously. ($16.95 with the purchase of entrée) I was chock-full of requests, and the staff happily met them all and assured me that it was absolutely no problem. They did some rearranging, so we were able to sit outside in addition to providing the guest of honor with an oversized glass for her mimosas, AND bringing out a lemon tart with a candle in it towards the end of our meal. Here's what I ate: Croque Madam: The egg was cooked perfectly. You can't really go wrong with one of these. Piperade Omelette: Most of my friends ordered this, and seemed to enjoy it. One claimed the goat cheese was a little overwhelming. Lemon Tart: Topped with toasted marshmallow. The flavors balanced each other out nicely. I ate most of this even though it wasn't my birthday :) I'd like to give special mention to our waiter, Jeremi. He was attentive, helpful, and able to pronounce the names of the menu items impeccably. I don't think my mimosa glass was even half empty during our entire meal. He opened bottle after bottle with absolutely no hesitation, and filled each glass to the brim. Rest assured, you will get every cent of the $16.95 you pay for the mimosa special. read more

There really wasn't anything that we ordered that I didn't like here at Bistronomic. Located in the former Eve space, Bistronomic delivers some great culinary treats. A group of us shared a few plates...the Belgian Endive and beet salad were both great. The savory tartine was good, but the highlight of the meal was the Lake Superior Whitefish and glazed short rib. The fish was prepared and cooked well and I loved the lentils that it was served on, and the mustard vinaigrette just made it pop. The short rib with fingerling potatoes was tender and fell apart with a fork. If the service was on par with the food, I'd give this place higher marks. But the slow/frustrating service kind of ruined the experience. The server was slow to take our drink order, slow to take our food order, went on and on about the specials, didn't come back to check on us, and had to be flagged down to get the bill and flagged down to pick up the credit cards and run it through. This was a night out with friends, and we LOVED IT!!! This place lives up to the hype! All the dishes were absolutely delicious! French food can be intimidating, but at Bistronomic, it is approachable, with well-balanced flavors, and a price point that does not require a pre-approval from your bank. Recently I have been going to French restaurants. I have yet to go to one where I have had a dining experience that I didn't enjoy. Add Bistronomic to the list of French restaurants that have fueled my addiction. Pumpkin Soup. Salmon Linguine. Braised Rabbit. Apple Banana Crumble with Ice Cream. The restaurant is not big box and it's not quite bistro in terms of extremely close seating. The Sunday evening that I went seemed light with patrons, as I'm sure Friday and Saturday nights experience high volume turnout. I would highly recommend not rushing if you go. French food is not to be devoured like it's fast food. Nothing comes to the table immediately and that's because foo is prepared to order, not microwaved and sent to the table within minutes of the server taking your order. read more

Came with friends this summer for a birthday dinner, expected lots of good things from the presentation and the reviews. Were not greeted or attended to by our waitress EVER, and when she did come after we flagged her down, she was impatient and seemed annoyed by us. Food... We had a sampling at our table. Lamb was good. Duck in the entree was very, very chewy - a definite miss, fries as appetizers were good, but we ordered two because the waitress used her hands to show how big the portion was, and it was about twice the size of it so we left about half of our order uneaten..bummer. Braised short ribs dish was just not very balanced, and the short ribs were kind of dry. Beef with some sort of noodles (can't exactly remember) - the beef tasted strange, but the overall dish was okay. Just not a good experience - we were all pretty disappointed. I went here on Friday night to grab dessert and drinks with my girlfriends. I loved the cozy atmosphere and now I wish I had decided to get dinner there too! It's still on my list for some traditional French comfort food. The bubbles were awesome paired with the chocolate-hazelnut bars. They had a wafer bottom and were so rich. The brut champagne complimented the sweetness perfectly. I asked to speak to Chef Martial Noguier so that I could practice my French a little bit. All was going very well until I managed to unintentionally insult him by insinuating that his wife was too attractive for him. Haha. We were just walk-ins, but were pleasantly welcomed by the front desk. Got seated in the smallish patio outside, very nice, modern decor. The interior is just as contemporary. The food was just absolutely excellent. The Amish Chicken was just amazingly tender and the sauce so flavorful. The gnocchi was perfect, and buttered toast points with the salad? Yes, please! The very charming chef dropped by all our tables to say hello - seeing the chef actually in house is something I really appreciate about restaurants. Brunch review! Bistronomic offers the usual brunch fare in a classier setting. We both ordered an omelette... Mine: goat cheese with peppers His: wild mushroom Halfway through, we switched our omelettes. The uneven distribution of goat cheese meant either a mouthful of peppers or a mouthful of cheese. Overall, mine was a little more tame compared to the wild mushroom. His omelette was way more flavorful but became a tad too salty after a few bites. The side of potatoes were probably intentionally charred for its rustic presentation; however I could deal with some grill marks, but whole edges/sides burnt? Not quite the same. Service was friendly and pleasant. I don't know if I'd be back for brunch, but seeing as it's in the 'hood, I might contemplate revisiting for dinner. read more

My friend and I went to Bistronomic today for brunch, and our experience was lovely! I had the crepe special which was chicken, mushrooms and Gruyère cheese along with some jasmine tea. My friend had the soup of the day which was tomato bisque and a side of truffle fries. We devoured everything! The food was very simple, clean and tasty, which is what French food should be The interior was nicely arranged. None of the tables felt too close together and the interior decor was very simple yet warm and inviting with dark woods and tea candles. I love that it was more on the cozy side. I think this would be a really great place to go on a semi casual intimate date The service was great as well. This is my new favorite restaurant! The tuna tartare was amazing as well as the snails. My husband had the onion soup and the rack of lamb and both were awesome! For desert we shared the profiteroles and again 10/10. The staff is great and efficient and super nice. I highly recommend this place. read more

Went again as when we went before it had only opened recently. Wanted to love the place, but the service ruined it. The bread was good. Hubby had the prie fix which was a reasonable price. He like his green bean salad. I had the whitefish which was cooked perfectly. His pear dessert was good. He enjoyed his steak and frites. The problem? The service! The server was a a very nice woman, but the service was just scattered....it took 30 minutes to get the salad and eventually she came by and said: "Didn't you get your salad?" Shouldn't she KNOW? Then the entrees was another long wait. We expect to have a long dinner at a place like this but we were left unattended for very long periods of time. After the meal, the check was wrong--missing one of the meals. As we began to tell her, she snatched it up and said "I gave you the wrong check". Seems unlikely someone else had the exact same meals and drinks. Nonetheless she finally brought the right one. read more

My fiancée and I had dinner here on our recent trip to Chicago and it was amazing! The food was excellent and the service was off the charts. I had the Amish Chicken and she had the Handcut Fettucine with Maine Lobster. We both loved our entrees. The chicken was tender and moist with plenty of flavor. For dessert, we went with the Creme Brûlée which was also delicious. We will definitely be back to this place the next time we're in town! read more

What an awesome brunch. My friend who lives here decided to take me to his favorite brunch spot, and I can see why it's his favorite. First off, I was really happy that they take reservations. Most places in SF tend not to, so it was one less thing to stress about, because why would you want to stress over brunch? Bottomless mimosas? Yes. This place has them and they're great. Pretty standard price, but heavy on the bubbly. I definitely got a good buzz going. Started off with the chicken liver mousse which was great. Rich for brunch, but I wasn't complaining. For my main, I went with the French Burger. I usually wouldn't do this for brunch, but this place is known for it, and I also had some amazing burgers in Paris so I decided to go with it. It did not disappoint. It was an excellent burger similar in style to the ones I had in Paris and not like the ones you'd typically see in the states. The burger had a much meatier taste. The burger meat wasn't so minced, in the best way possible. Not a whole lot of filler vegetables that don't really contribute to anything. It contained actual toppings that all came together really well. Overall, this was a really memorable spot that I'll have to revisit in the future. The burger is so fantastic and really puts American burgers to shame. I know it might be a style preference, but the burger here really shakes things up. read more

Sometimes the cure to a slushy, gloomy day in Chicago is to have a nice, quiet dinner at a place like Bistronomic. The space is small so either make reservations or try out this place during non-peak hours so you don't feel rushed or overcrowded. I've come here a few times and I'm surprised that I haven't reviewed it before? Anyway, I've never been to France so I won't pretend to comment that it provides an authentic bistro experience. Nonetheless, the menu is small but has a nice variety. If you're a cheese lover, then this will be heaven for you! The pate variety changes frequently. I myself am a sucker for mussels and these ones were plump and were swimming in a perfectly seasoned broth full of wonderful spices. For dessert, the creme brûlée is very distinct and is a must try. The wine list is manageable and also offers a good variety; All in all a wonderful experience and worth a try when you're in the area. read more

Really thought this place would be good. Had high hopes. Primarily, the tables are so close together. You have to physically move your table in order to sit in the booth. Not slightly move over but physically pull it out. After that, they had a prixe fix menu for Valentine's Day. Fine no problem. $82 for three courses. A little high but understandable for the holiday. The first course was horribly small. I ordered the scallops, I got one and a half scallops. The second course was amazing. The third course looked like toy desserts. Each dessert was the size of a penny and there were only four of them to share between two people. But the worse thing was the valet parking. When you arrive, they have to CALL the valet for you. There is no one there. When you leave, YOU HAVE TO CALL THE VALET GUY FOR YOUR CAR! How absurd is that? $220 for three course that wouldn't fill up a small person and to wait 30 mins for your car. read more

Unsafe experience at this restaurant. I ate at this restaurant on Friday evening with a friend. We were seated inside near the bar and was very noisy so the maître d' moved us to a table near the front door- still inside the restaurant. During our dinner A couple sat at the table behind us they did not stay long and left. When I checked my purse my wallet was missing. The manager came out and mentioned that the people behind me look suspicious and he believe they stole it. I Immediately checked my bank account and $792 have been deducted from the Walgreens on Michigan Avenue within minutes. The Staff mentioned that it had happened a few weeks earlier and someone had lost $2000. I asked if they had video evidence they said the cameras were on the street not in the restaurant. They offered me no assistance, not sure can a comp of the meal. I had to ask my friend to pay. I was left without a credit card, my identification and cash all stolen during dinner there and felt no empathy nor assistance from this restaurant. I didn't even have the ability to get safely home with an Uber as my card was frozen. Whilst the food may have been good. I would question the service and management of a restaurant that would allow people to have their purse pickpocketed while they are seated at dinner. I did not leave the table, I did not leave my purse. How these people got in I don't know but certainly would expect in a 4 star restaurant where reservations are required that someone would not be able to randomly sit behind you and pick your purse remove your wallet and I only find out about it when a manager mentions that that's probably what happened. I suspect it's probably happened more than once before.. I did file a police report I also returned to the Walgreens and got a receipt for the purchase of the stolen items. I hope if you're planning on visiting this restaurant that you think twice, take very good care of where you sit, hold your belongings all the time during dinner and also that the restaurant treat you better than it treated me when you are robbed. read more
