Gave me her recommendations which I chose her favorite and another option. Took my order, had multiple ways to order and pay, and made sure I wanted to order the fries as they came or removing/adding items. Then mentioned their food truck as I tried them at the Reno Public Market. Rodeo: Savory with a kick. Wouldn't think of steak and bacon complimenting themselves in the marriage of this dish. However, mixed with the cream cheese, mixture of green onions, jalapeño, and the cheese. It makes these natural cut fries simply unique. The spice of the jalapeño is quickly off set by the subtleness of the cheeses it's infused with. You don't get an over stimulating sense of salt or peppers from the ingredients but it's got just the right amount to make your taste buds just smile. Pig pen: kick a** who? The fact that you get natural cut potatoes, and the makings of a loaded baked potato with a delicious bbq sauce and bbq meat makes it just a hog of a dish. Between the right amount of ratios of potatoes, meat, cheese, sauce, and toppings. I was impressed comparing it to many places bbq inspired fries. I've been wanting to try the Poutine Mac & Cheese, however, when I arrived they were out of Mac & Cheese. I'm not going to lie, I was super bummed but that gives me reason to come back and try it another time. So I ordered the Poutine Loaded Fries and my friend had the Pig Pen Loaded Fries. Mine arrived hot and a larger portion than expected, no complaints and will put it in the toaster oven tomorrow for lunch at work. Anyways, the flavor and season of the poutine was good, but nothing to rant and rave about. My friend said she liked hers a lot and that it had a hefty portion of meat. We got the pig pen fries. The staff was nice. We went on a very busy Saturday afternoon and it was so busy the line was long. With the bar you could definitely tell there were some intoxicated folks around as well which is not my favorite. I bring this up because the line is so close to the bar and someone in front of us almost got into a fight. Not cool. That said, it went quicker than you would think and I would say it was worth the short wait. Very good food, friendly staff, and I would go back again. I am really into chili cheese fries. Every time I visit a comfort food restaurant I ask for them. It's interesting to see so many different variations of a chili cheese fry. I really enjoyed this place. It says food truck but it's located inside the Reno Public Market. I added the jalapeños on top, it was a great addition The chili is all beef which I love because I don't eat pork. I opted out of the bacon bits toppings. The staff was very nice and helpful with answering questions about the menu. I saw they have buffalo chicken loaded fries. Definitely going back to try those. read more

Bite Me located inside the Reno Public Market is an incredible place to eat. With the vibe being so packed and people constantly coming on by, I felt like they hold up their own very well with their service and handing out their food in a timely manner! Here we have their DREAM FRIES that comes with Shrimp, Steak and the works. This right here is very delicious, packed with all kinds of hearty flavors and just gets the taste buds going with every mouth watering bite!! We dropped by the Reno Public Market and my niece chose to get something from the Bite Me food stall because she lives fries. The menu is a little intimidating because there's so many options to choose from; we picked the "Hoedown" loaded fries: chicken, cheese sauce, shredded cheese, ranch, bacon and green onions. The service was friendly and we received our order pretty quickly. We read "loaded" fries on their menu but we weren't ready for the monstrosity we received; the portion was HUGE! It was enough to feed all four people in our party; saying the toppings were generous would be an understatement. Our plate of loaded fries was gorgeous, it was the envy of the whole food court, it was so pretty, and delicious to boot. Found this place among the many food joints in Reno Public Market. Our family loves us some fries so this is where we decided to eat out of all the places. We ordered 3 different kinds - hoedown, dream and pig pen! They all tasted great. Different but alike though. The prices were prettttttty steep for this. They range $16-$17 for these half Togo boxes. To me it's not worth it. The staff could also use some positivity and friendliness tips because they don't look happy to serve you nor take your order. Reno Public Market is a bit overrated to me right now but maybe another restaurant and experience could change my opinion. read more

Finally got a chance to visit the Reno Public Market and Bite Me's HUGE menu of loaded fries and Mac definitely caught my eye. While their prices are some of the highest in the market, the fries we ordered were loaded to the brim with premium toppings like steak and shrimp. We ordered the Dream fries and they did hold up to their name. Tons of flavor dimension with so many different delicious sauces and toppings. I do think if I ordered this combo again I'd love to try it out on their Mac, I think it would be absolutely fantastic. The service was super quick and they used a texting system like the rest of the market so you are notified when your food is ready and can explore while you wait. Their fries were nice and crispy still even with all those toppings, so even for the $20+ price tag I'd recommend trying them out! read more

This food truck was at the UNR football game and we decided to get a bite before the game started. I ordered the Dream on fries and husband ordered the chicken sliders with fries. I ordered mine without the cheese sauce and it was still very well seasoned. The aioli sauce they had on it was great. Sliders and fries were also good. The staff were nice, a bit of a wait but most food trucks are(only reason I gave it a 4 star). Their food is delectable. I had the Mardi Gras Sliders, shrimp cake slider topped with bacon, spicy cabbage and lemon aoli. The spicy cabbage was the perfect little kick and the aoli balanced all the flavors out perfectly. The shrimp slider itself was stuffed with shrimp, juicy and the bell peppers gave it just the right texture. This is for their brick and mortar in the Reno Public Market! Okay this place is fire Mac and cheese creamy, smokey with small chunks of bacon, what was really nice is that it wasn't too greasy. The other picture is of the Rodeo fries the tritip was tender and chipotle aioli exquisite! The fries were crispy when you first order them so eat fast before the melted cheese takes over then you're going to need a fork and lots of napkins! I came across this food truck at the taco festival at the Sands Casino. If I had know they didn't have a yelp page, I would have taken more photos! However, their food is amazing and they deserved to be recognized for their quality!! Their food truck is described as Asian Latin fusion. We got the loaded fries with the braised pork for $9, and it was jam packed with flavor. The fries were covered in some sort of seasoning, yet weren't salty at all! The pork was smoked and juicy, and they topped it with cheese, home made spicy salsa and amazing guacamole. In fact, they had three trophies proudly displayed at their truck for "first place for guacamole"! I checked out their website, and it seems like they aren't out serving very often. Unfortunately, this truck came woefully unprepared for the amount of customers they would be serving at the Reno water lantern festival. We ordered two sliders orders and two loaded fries coming in at $90, we also got to wait over an hour for our food, which was mediocre at best. Sadly, we missed the lantern launch and the whole point of the event just waiting for food that should have been ready after 15 minutes. I knew it was overpriced when I saw $16 on a slider food truck, but I'd seen them often and figured I'd give them a try. My sliders were tasty, however for the price I hoped "slider" was an undersell...it was not. The patties were exactly the size you expect but for the typical price of 3, you get 2....this could have been forgiven had I not gone to eat my son's leftovers and discovered there was no patty in either! No wonder he only ate the fries! I can confidently say I will never order there again and caution anyone I know to avoid them, for $80 to feed 4 from a food truck I'd expect MUCH more...the fries were good; if fries are worth $12 to you then go for it, however, I expected more than $0-$4 worth of meat. read more
