This is my new favorite neighborhood coffee shop! The coffee is great, pastries and phenomenal, and the cherry on top is how much my dog loves the dog treats! Seriously though, the pastries here are some of my favorite. The blackberry scone is divine. The blackberries are bursting with juice and it's topped with chunky sugar crystals. The place is small inside so it's more grab and go, but there's an option for outdoor seating.

Cute small location with some outdoor seating. Yummy looking sandwiches and pastries. I always get excited when I see house-made almond milk so I ordered an iced chai to try it out. Their chai is unsweetened which is a plus for me but not be what people are used to when they get a premade mix. Looking forward to coming back and trying one of their iced teas and something to snack on.

A nice Cold Brew with Fresh Almond Milk and some Splenda! It's perfect and great for a warm afternoon in the park!! Will definitely stop at Bittersweet again for some coffee before my reading in the part!! Cheers!

Quick note: I live in the neighborhood and will be going often during the week. I got their iced latte and I usually get oat milk but noticed they made their own almond milk so tried that instead and it was really yummy. I like their coffee window and it's really convenient if you're just passing by. There's usually a long line on the weekends and it's worth it!

Delicious cold brewed ice coffee. Sensible, artisan sandwiches. I enjoyed salami and butter. Friendly stop and hangout for dog owners.

Good coffee, homemade almond milk, but low energy staff and more space for staff than guests. They should drink their own coffee.

Probably the best coffee in the neighborhood. Dog snacks and pastries also excellent.

They make a mean double espresso. What i also enjoy is the "red eye" (a shot of espresso in a regular coffee).

I love this place. The line on weekends is worth the wait. Plus there are always cool pups outside to keep you entertained.

My favorite coffee in Brooklyn. They make my dirty chai just the way I like it: strong but not too sweet. And the staff is wonderful.

Decent cup of coffee and the wifi works great. There is a nice feeling in the space at least on a cloudy Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn.

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

I have wanted to try this spot for some time, and wound up a bit disappointed with what I tried…read more They feature a tahini cold brew, which features two things I love dearly, but instead of a rich cold brew it was overly sweet and icy--more like a slushie. Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
