    Salmon crepe, filling and delicious
    Kinnie I.

Lovely café crêperie in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Just do it. Especially if you have a little time. We love the ambience. The crepes were delicious and perfectly made. Coffee was very good. Average prices for the area. Crowne Heights is very walkable. Wish we were in Brooklyn longer to go again.

The crepes were delicious, with perfectly balanced fillings. The atmosphere of the café and the inner courtyard were truly wonderful. The matcha wasn't the best I've tried, but overall everything was excellent. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this cute cafe with an outdoor garden! The drinks and food are great. They have a range of food options -- croissants, pastries, overnight oats, carrot cake and, of course, yummy crepes! The lattes are delicious and they have seasonal specials as well! Indoor seating that allow you to "work from cafe" or just chill. Outdoor seating in their back garden that's perfect on a sunny day! The service is wonderful as well. Black Milk Coffee and Crepe is a neighborhood gem!

I'm so..sleepy today.....zzzzzzz. HOLD UP!!!!!! I have to wake up! Spring/Winter/Summer/Fall all in one week??? What is a Brooklyn girl to do? Drink Java and lots of it. Someone, somewhere start roasting those coffee beans cuz Fawn needs to WAKE UP! I'm not sure about you, but Spring has not sprung for me and I'm still recovering from setting my clock forward, back.. YEESH! Is there such a thing of Springtime blues??? Thus, after my first caffeine jolt courtesy of the Mexican Coke I imbibed at nearby Gueros, my body and brain said " You need coffee, NOW! My feet walked 300 feet and stopped at Black Milk Coffee and Crepe Cafe for.. what.. else?? Coffeeeeeee! The vibe is cozy, sleepy patrons like myself were seated hovering over their laptops like zombies, some were actually awake and chatting and some were digging into their amazing crepes! Me? I ran to place my order of coffeeeeee! I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and a vanilla macaron so my cappuccino had a wake up treat too. The setting is a bit industrial with murals and hanging creatures and lights... hey I'm still not awake! I took my treats to a countertop and stared at the most beautiful thing...Coffeeee! My cappuccino had that heart swirl on top... not for long tho as I tore open a sugar in the raw packet and watched that heart disappear in seconds. First sip? Delightful.. second sip I can actually accept the bright lights.. third sip..need a bite of macaron. The vanilla macaron was airy, fresh and dare I say it ( I'm going to get in trouble but hey folks I'm half awake!) better than LaDuree macarons on West Broadway in Soho. There I said it! Well, that did the trick..I was able to stand up and fly right. I walked right up to the ordering station and complimented my barista and raved about the macaron. And yes, I shared the macaron was better than LaDuree's. Hey, when you're on a caffeine high words come out.. It's great to find a new coffee spot and as this cafe is near to Botanic Garden, it is their responsibility to WAKE Fawn up in the nearby future. As I left, I noticed it was still light out and a touch of Spring/Summer/Winter/Fall was in the air. Black Milk Coffee and Crepe Cafe is located on Franklin Avenue,@10 minute walk from Franklin Avenue Station. Arrive sleepy.. very sleepy.. zzzzzzz

Hands down favorite coffee shop in Brooklyn! I tend to come to get work done, but it's also a fine place for catching up over coffee or just sitting and reading. In many ways, Black Milk is an ideal work-from-home spot. There are tons of seating options, including a large communal table, several smaller tables, comfy chairs around a coffee table, and more seats in the back patio. The shop has plenty of outlets and the Wi-Fi has never failed me. A minor point, but the decor inside is interesting and fun without trying too hard to be quirky. The coffee itself is always good and they serve hot drinks in coffee mugs which is a nice vibe. The food menu is large and offers many affordable options like overnight oats ($5) and sweet or savory crepes ($10-12 range). There's only thing I would change: Every time I've visited, they have been playing somewhat obnoxious club music over the store speakers. It's fine if you were planning on putting in earbuds anyway, but for me that's just not really the energy I'm looking for in a coffee shop. 5/5 stars otherwise!

This is an awesome cafe! Both the food and coffee are good and you get a huge crepe (enough for leftovers for me) for a decent price. I love that there is a section to pull your laptop out and do work but that they also offer tables in the back just for conversation. It looks like they also offer outdoor seating on nice days in the back, but I haven't ventured out there. Service is always very friendly and efficient. The perfect cafe in my opinion. 4.9/5

Was looking for an excuse to leave the house today and a cup of coffee from a new place was the answer. The coffee at Black Milk is strong and flavorful. There's plenty of seating inside and they have an adorable back patio. The vibe is welcoming, clean, and a little industrial/artsy. That's probably a terrible description but it's cute as heck and there's a great playlist playing. I almost don't want to post this so it doesn't get too packed and crazy but it's such a great spot everyone should know! The crepes also looked delicious but I can only eat so many breakfasts a day...

The cafe options in the Crown Heights neighborhood are endless, but Black Milk was a solid choice and I'll tell you why! We walked in on a bustling Sunday morning, but was still able to order fairly quickly and find 2 good seats together. The service was nice, although 1 item took longer to come out, and I'll explain why. The music was loud, upbeat and lively, which personally I didn't mind. We ordered an ice hibiscus tea, cherry scone, chagaccino and Nutella crepe. Everything was good, but what stood out to be most to me were the chagaccino and crepe. Although the chagaccino is a mushroom based drink it tasted like a very clean espresso, and although the crepe required a wait (there's only 1 crepe station in the cafe), it was delightfully delicious. There are so many other options for cafes in the neighborhood that I'd like to explore so I can't say I'll run back here, but if you choose to visit you won't be disappointed!

maple cinnamon latte and nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas
    Melena S.

I arrived a little before 11am on a Saturday and the line was tolerable and there were a good number of seats available. I ordered a nutella crepe with strawberry and banana, as well as an iced maple cinnamon latte with oat milk. Yum! The latte was perfectly flavored and sweetened to pair with my very sweet crepe. It was a chill environment and I didn't feel rushed or out of place. I really wanted to try the savory crepes but the nutella one was calling me. Everyone that had one made them look DELICIOUS. I'll have to come back and try one and a matcha latte!

This place is a hidden gem in Brooklyn. The coffee is smooth and tasty. The food is exceptional. Fresh and delicious crepes. We ordered the Simple crepe and the Ham and Mozzarella crepe. The portion was double other crepe locations. Please try Black Milk. You won't be disappointed

the rose tea was lovely, the crepe was absolutely perfectly made, the server was kind, and the vibes of the cafe were relaxed and nice. I hope to be back!

This place is fire. The vibes are immaculate and the art is so dope. My chai latte was fucking delicious, will return when in the neighborhood.

Such a cute spot! They have WIFI if you want to work out of there and they play soft music if you want to do a quick catch up with friends. I got a chocolate croissant and salted caramel iced latte which were both delicious. The staff were really friendly. I can't believe it took me so long to visit but I will definitely be back!

Creperie on Ludlow St came up in my search and we happened to be down that way on Sunday. I'm also a huge ice cream and gelato fan, but husband is lactose intolerant so he prefers non-dairy. Last year we discovered the amazing vegan ice cream at Orchard Grocery, but I wanted the real thing this trip and he apparently hadn't wanted a frozen treat at all so wouldn't do Orchard Grocer for himself and a different place for me. Happy medium? Share a good crêpe! We found it at Crêperie. SO many choices, many similar to ones we loved in France. Extensive selection, but it didn't take long to decide on the apple-walnut-caramel crêpe to share, costing not much more than 2 ice creams. We watched the lone young man as he poured batter onto the round griddle to just the perfect thinness; as he expertly flipped it; as he loaded on plenty of apple compote, plenty of walnuts, and gently squeezed caramel sauce. Then he folded it into a neat rectangle, scooped it into an exactly the same size pan, flipped the whole thing over onto another griddle and left it to heat while he made a crêpe for the person behind us. At exactly the right moment (was he watching the clock? or maybe he's just THAT good!), he flipped it over, slid the crêpe onto a plate, artistically drizzled more caramel sauce on top and then gently shook some powdered sugar over it. Handed me 2 forks and knives and we sat on stools at the counter for our Sunday afternoon treat! Excellent! They have several savory crêpes (in Paris, those were usually buckwheat crêpes called galettes) and many sweet ones. Unfortunately it's more of a takeout place, with just the few stools at a counter inside, and a couple of small tables outside. I'm still looking for a genuine Parisian-style restaurant with a good selection of galettes and crêpes - but this was a great find and I definitely recommend it to you!

I tried looking for him later to get his name, but I'm sure he's West African like me). I ordered Crepe 31 (Smoked salmon, spinach, tomatoes, Swiss cheese and bechamel sauce) of the SPICY variety (they will ask you how spicy you want it); listen I was raised to love scotch bonnets, so I wanted this thing spicy and it was the best!!! What a great balance of creamy, spicy and savory! There's a plethora of crepe options, so I will definitely be back to try the other flavors! Also ordered the Bissap (shout out to the diaspora because this is Zobo in Naija, Sobolo in Ghana, and Sorrel in Jamaica) and it was everything!!! The right amount of tartness and spice. I also highly recommend the turmeric smoothie and the raisin croissant (they warmed it so it was lovely)!!!! I'm coming back next week to try their matcha options and more crepes!
