BE ADVISED: They will charge you an additional $2 for whipped cream on your crepe! The menu puts this (in a section separate from the listings of the crepes) in very small print under "creme." Pretty obnoxious when you're already paying a fairly steep $9-12 for something with such inexpensive ingredients. The owner is already making a good markup on the food. Just make whipped cream complimentary. Also, the pastries behind the counter are all $4 each. No sign anywhere. They're just okay--nothing special. What started as a promising meal went quickly downhill once I turned to the side salad next to the crustless quiche. Underneath was a brownish / blackish mess of rotten greens. I picked them out - literally half the salad - and sent them back to the cook who simply said it was caused by the heat from the microwaved quiche. Ugh. He then proceeded to argue and said he'd "replace" the salad. So what's wrong with this? First he heats the quiche in a micro wave and second he dismisses the fact the greens were spoiled. This is a great little French Bistro in the heart of the Keys. if you tire of the usual Key's fare then sto pin for crepes and sandwiches. the wife has the tuna crepe, i had the bananna/nutella and the kids had the nutells/strawberry and the ham/cheese crepes respectively. The cafe au lait is perfect, strong yet smooth like is should be. Service was prompt, knowledgable and up to par. Overall a great experience. read more

Fantastic! Everything we ordered was delicious and vegetarian friendly. We had the spinach quiche, Capri sandwich, mango-banana smoothie, papi crepe for desert with tiramisu gelato and we bought pastries to go for the following morning. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The food is very fresh, the freshest food we have had in the Florida Keys. We are leaving tomorrow, I wish we had discovered this place earlier. Your best bet on Islamorada for really good coffee (I'm a bit of a coffee snob and I was satisfied!), real French baguette (not the Wonder bread kind), real croissants (actually crispy on the outside!), and all without the French service, which, for my American preference, is a good thing, after having dined in Paris restaurants for a week. The only downside is its pricey, even compared to Manhattan. But, hey, this is the Keys and everything is priced higher here relative to 98% of US. Just set your expectations accordingly and it won't seem so bad! read more

Found Bitton's and what a find! My husband and I stopped here and got the best multigrain croissant I have ever had. Who knew multigrain and croissant ever went together. The croissant was flavorful and just yummy. I had the cream of zucchini soup. This was by far, one of the best soups i've ever had not complicated favors, all the ingredients worked together to make a bowl of goodness! Tasted like something a French grandmother would have made. My husband had the goat cheese soufflé. He said it was delicious. We felt unwelcome the minute we walked in and if we weren't starving we would have left immediately. The guy behind the counter was very rude and seemed annoyed that we dared to want to dine at his establishment. He pointed to the menus for us to get ourselves and to the table for us to sit down. He then very rudely said that he's not splitting checks. Some people within our group of 9 were so offended by his attitude that they left. He then made a snide remark about how awful large groups are. Despite his shocking remarks, 4 of us decided to stay because we were really hungry. I want to be fair and say that the food was excellent but the attitude was what really turned me off. I also want the note that the place was empty, so it's not like they were swamped. To make matters worse, when I got ready to pay the bill he just ran my credit card without showing me the bill frist and HE ADDED 20%TIP for a table of 4. They should rename the tip attitude surcharge!!! read more

Brightly lit and inviting, Michel was busy making those craved for crêpes that people come here for. It wasn't busy yet and service was prompt. Everyone found something on the menu the enjoyed, even those who didn't think they could. Those on gluten free diets had the Buckwheat crêpes and normal for the rest. I chose the Papi, consisting of Nutella, strawberries and bananas. Fantastic! The pastries smelled wonderful and the gelato looked delicious. People trickled in and out on their usual morning routines getting coffee and pastries, while breakfast in a slower manner was enjoyed by others.
