DO NOT GO HERE: If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. First of all, let me start by saying what dry cleaner is only open at 9:30 AM. People have to get to work you know. The lady who works there couldn't be bothered to care about her customers. Every time I walk in she is sitting in the back on her phone and I have to call her over to get any service. It's also way too overpriced for standard dry cleaning. $10 a shirt!!! Crazy!!! The card reader NEVER works and she holds your shirt hostage until you walk .5 mile away to go to an ATM. NOT FRIENDLY, NOT REASONABLE, NOT WORTH IT. read more

I have been using this cleaners for over 1 year. Recently, I notice I'm not getting all my pieces back. My children go to pick them up for me and they don't think to count. So, I'll take responsibility for that. It's disheartening that I've lost blazers that cost well over $200 a piece. To be exact, I'm missing 3 blazers. A few months ago, I notice my dresses were still smelling sweaty when go to wear them on a Sunday. I'm a pastor. I sweat a lot. A few weeks ago, I called up there to inform her that I'm sending a few pieces back to the cleaners because they still stunk. I didn't ask for it to be comped. I went in today to pick up 4 pieces ($60+) and my mind told me to smell my blazers. The first blazer stank. The second blazer was fine. I didn't go any further, I asked the lady to smell the blazer. She said, with a shrug, that it's the material that can't come clean. Does she think I'm a fool? I told her, I have never had any issues like I do now with a dry cleaners. I called Francis, the owner. So, they say. He's dismissive, loud and aggressive as I'm calmly speaking to him in the cleaners. I told him, that his employee always brag about how respectful my kids are. I've been nice and respectful but to hear him get upset with me because be claims he does not know what I'm talking about is crazy. Of course you wouldn't know. Supposedly, he has 2 locations and he works at the other one. How the heck was I suppose to know he has two locations? I wasn't expecting anything free. I expected some respect. read more

I specifically ask this lady to dry clean my clothes and she laundered them and ruined most of my shirts as some of the shirts now have stains permanently in them that I cannot get out. I did a test run with her in the beginning and then when I dropped off a bunch of clothes she laundered them instead of dry cleaning. I would never take anything to this lady cuz you cannot trust her also she did not clean the spots out of the shirts just ignored everything I said. I was so excited to find a cleaner close to my new home. I dropped off $40.25 worth of airline uniforms and explained to the woman working there that I just moved to the neighborhood and looked forward to them for regular cleaning. She took my name, number and provided me with the attached receipt. I didn't look at it very carefully and left. Yesterday, I went to pick-up my uniforms and drop off a new set of uniforms. Same woman asked for my number. She said I wasn't in the system. She asked for my name and again couldn't find my information. I reminded her of our conversation and that I dropped off uniforms. She said I must be mistaken. I showed her the uniforms I brought in for cleaning and said it looked exactly like these. She said she would have remembered uniforms like them and knew I didn't bring them in. As I forgot to bring the receipt, I drove home and returned with the receipt. When I presented her with the receipt she found my order, but accused me of providing her with the wrong name & number. I told her she input the wrong information, not me. I didn't know the name or number on the receipt. She laughed. I asked her if I get a discount for having to go all the way home to get the receipt. She said contentiously, "do you give discounts when you make a mistake?" I said, I'm in customer service and I absolutely would. She said, "I don't do that!" She then had the audacity to ask if I'm leaving my soiled uniform for cleaning? Lol! Speedi Cleaners lost thousands of dollars of future business for poor service and unwillingness to provide couple dollars worth of compensation for the inconvenience they caused. read more

I always use this cleaner but the last time I brought two blazers and they lost them. When I went to pick them up the lady was about to give me someone else clothes because it had my name. She then started looking for my clothes and after looking around she said that I had pick them up already, I told her no then she asked me to come back another day so she can look for them. I returned a week later and still no clothes. Honestly I never save my receipts because I trusted her so I ask to talk to the owner and he was a bit aggressive, all I want is someone to replace my clothes. They left threads sticking out everywhere and didn't press the new hem. I paid for a sweater repair. I knew it wouldn't be perfect after, just a cozy sweater to bum around in. Had to find a dry cleaner when I moved to LBC, and I stumbled across Speedi's. The organic cleaners sign is what caught my eye (even though I don't know what it means) and since it's within walking distance, I thought I would give it a try. I'm pretty pleased with the service, the hours are convenient, and my clothes are ready when promised. I have no idea what some other Yelpers problems are with their 1 star ratings because it's not deserved. Laura is GREAT, but her helper guy isn't too friendly, although I haven't seen him in a while (I'd give him the 1 star). Parking can sometimes be a challenge because it's downtown Long Beach. I should've taken pictures, but I was so pissed when I unwrapped my suit that I just took it to another cleaners by my work. As soon as he looked at it he was like "Wow, what happened". Friendly service but opening promptly as advertised is important for people that are picking up before going to work. Well, I was enjoying using a dry cleaner so close to my home until this morning when I encountered the snarly, belligerent young man at their counter. What an unsmiling jerk. What kind of human being gets up in a foul mood and then decides to make their clients suffer as a result of it? Nothing set him off ... he was just that way to choice. It's first thing Wednesday morning and they promise a two day turnaround. He proclaims the shirts will be ready late Saturday which, by my count, equals four full days. But he wants to argue with me. I try to engage him and ask him what's bothering him, but still can't get him to conclude that Thursday night is two days, not Saturday, and I get more of his belligerence. This place rules! It's the epitome of a friendly, neighborhood business. There are beautiful two young ladies who work there that know me by name and always greet me with a warm smile. Their prices and service are the best in town. And believe me, I've shopped around and had some really bad experiences elsewhere. Their turnaround time is super quick and I'm always able to get in and out whenever I'm in a hurry. I've been going there for years and have trusted them with a variety of mending, tailoring and Laura has always been able to assist me at a more-than-reasonable price. I'm a little disappointed with this place. I brought in a couple items there and I was pleased. BUT recently I brought in curtains and the plastic part of the curtains melted. They promised to put a sheet over the part that was ruined, and it took them a long time to do it. I went back 4 times to see if they were done with my curtains and each time they said they were not ready. I dropped the curtains off probably at the beginning of November and just got them on November 7th. At least they should have offered a discount or free dry cleaning. I guess I'm just too nice. They claim they've been looking for it for two weeks but were very sarcastic and rude and refused to reimburse me the true value of the shirt. I called today asking if they do next day dry cleaning and they said they do, and I let them know I would be heading there straight after work in Brea at 6 so I probably would get there about 645 to drop my suit off right before they close. They assured me they close at 7 so that would be fine. I got there a minute or two after 645 and they were already closed and I tried calling them but no answer. I love this place! I've gone there many times for alterations and dry cleaning. They have great customer service and always have everything ready on time. Once I took a vintage ivory and red sweater there to get some stains fixed but the red bleed all over the sweater but even tho my sweater was kinda ruined they offered to do everything the could to fix and it was free of charge! Today marked my list visit to Speedi's; I was waiting on a one day service at the usual time. The deliver came and went without delivering all of my articles. Instead of an apology, offer to discount my next service or even asking if I would mind. I was told that my missing articles were at another location and I could go pick them up. I did not drop of my dry cleaning and request same day service for the chance to drive to two locations to pick up my garments. Without any gesture of good will on their part, it was clear to me that another dry cleaner was in order.
