We made an appointment to get an estimate. A knowledgeable member of the Steele Team arrived on schedule and reviewed our options. A few days later we received the estimate, one that was lower than an earlier estimate we had received from a competitor, and we approved the job. The following week the installation crew arrived and put in the Breeze 33 system, including the air conditioning unit, 8 ducts strategically positioned in bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas, an air handler (installed in the hallway ceiling), and the outdoor unit behind the house. The crew was excellent and got the job done in a single day. They meticulously cleaned up after themselves -- actually, they did better than that, vacuuming the stairway cleaner than it was before they came and repositioning personal items in rooms that might be impacted by falling dust from the drilling. Our experience was great. Now we're set for whatever inferno this summer has in store for us. Highly recommended!

The tech came out and accidentally broke my disconnect so he said he would "put in a ticket" to have someone come out to repair it. The scheduling lady called me a few days later and scheduled a tech to come out to the house and the tech came and replaced the disconnect and left. I then received via email a $175 bill. I called and left a voicemail to inquire with no response the next morning then called again the next day and was told "Tom Jr" would handle but was not there and would call me back to discuss. By this time I decided to have my husband handle this. Tom Jr stated he was charging us $175 for what his technician came out and broke! At no time we're we given a quote for the work or knew what the cost of repair would be - since Steele damaged our property we thought they would do the right thing and repair what they damaged - NOPE - Tom Jr (Steele) called it a "miscommunication" and argued to no end. This was shady dealings and not the way to run a stand up business. In the end, my husband had to fight for what was right and Tom Jr said to "throw out the bill" and hung up on my husband. If you are looking for Customer Service from a Heating and Cooling Business, LOOK ELSEWHERE!! Once you spend your money on a full heating and cooling package like we did, they're done with you.

He took full ownership of the situation and never tried to cover anything up or make excuses. He sent out his most experienced technicians to thoroughly go over the system and determine whether there was an issue that had been missed over the years or whether the unit ultimately needed to be replaced. They were finally able to determine that the AC had been installed incorrectly. While I'm certainly not thrilled that an improper installation wasn't identified during the multiple service calls we've had over the years, I do want to give credit where credit is due. Once Peter and his team became involved, they were extremely solution-focused and committed to getting to the bottom of the problem. I also learned that Peter was not the owner when I originally purchased the AC, which makes me even more appreciative that he stepped up and took responsibility for an issue that technically predated his ownership. He assured me that, one way or another, we would get the situation resolved, and I respect that. One thing that really stood out to me throughout this process was how highly each of the technicians spoke of one another. Every gentleman I interacted with this week had nothing but positive things to say about the rest of the team. It was very obvious that they have each other's backs and are all working toward the same goal. At the end of the day, I'm still disappointed that it took this long and this many service calls to uncover the installation issue. However, I believe in giving credit where it's due, and Peter and his team deserve recognition for how they handled things once they became aware of the problem. From the beginning, the system has struggled to keep up and has consistently run nearly 24/7. After having the team come out multiple times to troubleshoot the issue, I ultimately had to have the system and other aspects of my home thoroughly evaluated. I was eventually informed that the AC unit installed was improperly sized and too small for our home. This has resulted in years of frustration, along with thousands of dollars in additional utility costs and service fees trying to diagnose and address the problem. I'm extremely disappointed that a new system was installed incorrectly in the first place and that it took multiple service calls and significant expense to determine the root cause.

To get this warranty the REME Halo-LED has to be installed by a licensed contractor. Requested for tune-up service on central a/c unit. Tech took panels off the central a/c unit and…read morespray 1 can of coil cleaner. I had already performed this service about 2 summers ago. I Googled what is generally performed for standard a/c tune up. Here is what I did not see the Tech doing. Did not check refrigerant level. Did not open up furnace to inspect or clean evaporator coils. Did not test refrigerant levels. Did not lubricate moving parts. Did not test capacitors or amp draws. Asked for hot water tank flush. Mine had a weird ball drain valve. The last hot water tank installer put in to let out more sediment out from tank. It was not standard. Power Tech had to procure a fitting in order to allow garden hose type thread to be installed. It did not help that my floor drain was clogged in the basement. Another drain was located and the Tech's self coiling hose had to be stretched out to extreme extent. It put pressure on the fitting. And that made it so the water was squirting out of the fitting and getting all over the basement floor. The Tech only drained the tank once. No flushing/purging/refilling to get all the sediment out. No safety and components check. Tech should have stated a proper flushing could not be perform. Tech was on the phone much of the time. I ultimately left the room so tech could take his calls. 6/24/26 I wanted to update my review after owner commented. When I hired you, your demeanor should have been professional from the start. No customer should have to call you back a second time to ask you do to a proper job. You initially earned my trust when I hired your company. You have lost my trust by performing a really subpar job, but still collected top tier pay for the services. You have cost me to spend double and hire another company who will do the proper job. The job you performed was something I could, and have, done in the past MYSELF. I would not recommend your company.
