I then spoke to someone who books appointments and made me aware that I have to pay $75 because I was charged an actual appointment even though the last place was unsuccessful of getting a prescription for my daughter. Anyway, the doctor looks at the paperwork and says "Not sure why we're doing this appointment." Right in front of me, I kept my cool as I wanted a new prescription for her. We were back in the exam room, and I'm trying to explain to the doctor (as I was trying to address his rude comment) why I scheduled this appointment. While I was talking my daughter was answering the questions he quickly cut me off so he could hear her answers. Needless to say he's very rude, the greetings are off-putting and not much communication only between the staff. Erika then proceeded to do measurements for my daughter's new glasses. I called the next day to see if I could order another pair of glasses for her and was told I was not able to with my insurance. Which in the past I was able to buy 1 get 2 free but that might have been that location. I will not go back!

The salesman followed me around the whole time in an effort to "assist" me by trying to up-sell me on the most expensive frames and every available option on the lenses. What should have been "free" glasses based on my benefit allowance ended up costing me $125. My own fault for falling prey to the pressurized sales tactics, I suppose. But then when my glasses arrived, the lenses lacked the gradient tint that was supposed to be included so they had to be shipped back to the factory. When I finally got them back, they had replaced the original case which was a perfect fit with one that was oddly shaped, barely big enough and snapped shut with such force it could take a finger or two! I asked for my original case and was basically told "tough luck". I said that this was the wrong case and was told that I was mistaken, this was the correct case for these glasses and the other one had been the wrong one. I left and will not be back....

She has a nice selection of glasses in the office and has been happy to order in. One of her greatest assets is her partnership with a high quality lens producer. The lens coatings I've gotten have never chipped, crazed, or had any problems whatsoever, even over long periods of time. Moreover, in the only case in over ten years that something went wrong, Dr. Strancar caught the issue the moment they arrived in her office and rush-ordered a new set before I could even try them on. You cannot get this level of quality from a traditional chain. Though I now live out of state, I still arrange appointments here.
