Never been to BJs ... I know, I know. So tried out the jambalaya and wife did the ribs for lunch. Thought it would all be frozen microwaved stuff. But both were actually tasty. Amazing service. The food was amazing I ordered the Italian chicken spaghetti and the chicken was so crispy. I also got boba-tastic mango sparkler and there was mint . It was such a fun drink especially with the strawberry popping bobas. There was also ice hockey playing on the tv which entertained my friends father. If you have a busy day and you must eat later, BJs is a good choice. The husb and I had a busy day, we sat in the bar area. By the way, you can make reservations on OpenTable, but this location only accepts reservations until 7:30pm. When we come late, we usually sit at the bar area, there's always seats available. We came in for the weekday/night $13 meal deal. I got the strawberry field salad and the husb got the salad/pizza meal. Both come with a Pizookie. Our food was tasty as usual, our desserts were yummy as well. At first, I got my salad, but without strawberries, luckily our waiter took care of the mishap. It took awhile to get my reworked salad, but that does show to me that they're taking their time fixing their mistake, which was greatly appreciated. Our waiter, though busy, kept checking on us, even brought me a fresh cup of coffee after I asked for a refill. As always BJs is very lively, fun energetic place to be at. I made reservations for Halloween night at 7pm. We were seated quickly. The service was friendly. However, they were out of so many things on their menu. I felt bad for our waiter as he told my party and the other party next to us about items they currently don't have the menu such as the deep dish nachos, guacamole, the Halloween pizookie, wings, etc. I tried ordering the nachos, but they were out of it. Then I tried ordering the guacamole and chips but that was out too. To be out of popular common items at 7pm on Halloween was a bummer. It also seemed like they were short staffed as our food arrived in a slow manner. I got the margarita flight. It's decent price for what you are getting. However, you can see in my picture that a couple of them were not filled all the way. But that's just me being nitpicky. My favorite ones were the spicy mango and strawberry. My husband ordered the steak and fries. He was asked how does he want his steak cooked. He said medium rare and our server said you can only go as low as medium. They probably should preface with that before asking how you want your steak cooked. It's a minor thing but it seems funny to ask an open ended question and then have to correct the person that the most popular medium rare temp is actually not allowed in their kitchen. The deep dish pizza is just okay. Nothing to write home about. We got half and half the great white and pepperoni extreme. The dough is good but the rest of it is just so bland and the only flavor coming through is salt. The star of the show and the only redeeming thing is the cookies n cream pizookie. It's so delicious when it's warm. The sweet chocolate Oreo cookie flavor goes great with the vanilla bean ice cream! All in all, our dining experience fell flat and it seems more like a management problem than anything else. I won't return to this location again. Really subpar experience here. It all started when my boyfriend and I arrived to reserve a table for 14 people. The manager Faith was difficult and unprofessional from the start. She was really struggling to seat everyone together and so we settled for two adjacent booths, which wasn't what we were promised. Not a big deal, but not a smooth start either. Given our large party (and guaranteed server gratuity) I expected some level of attentiveness, but our server Marcos never came to check on our party and never gave us an update on our food. My boyfriend and I received our deep dish pizza about 30 minutes before anyone else got their entree and honestly, that really bothered me. Especially since one of the entrees was a salad. Not sure why this wasn't coordinated properly. Then, we had two more guests join our party -- one of whom was recently released from the hospital and was still very much injured. My boyfriend asked the hostess for an additional chair so that he could sit with us comfortably and when Faith overheard his request, she stopped what she was doing, turned around and yelled at him saying there was no way to accommodate the request because it was a "fire hazard." That was very unprofessional and quite rude to be honest. For someone working in hospitality, she wasn't very hospitable. We later learned from another staff member that it wasn't a fire hazard at all. All in all, it was a very poor experience. I expect more from a big, experience franchise and from a server who received almost $100 in gratuity. read more

Per son's request, we went to BJ's for his birthday. It was about a minute's wait before we were taken to our table. We had the lemon pepper wings as appetizer and decided to order from their $13 Pizookie meal deal (available M-F). He ordered the All-American smash burger with fries and I had the enlightened Strawberry field salad with grilled chicken breast. Each meal gets a personal sized pizookie with a scoop of ice cream which I upgraded to a full sized (add $4) Spooky Pizookie. Our Server Hilda was friendly and attentive, checking in on us every so often. Son enjoyed his burger and I had a couple of his fries, they were fresh and crispy. The salad was evenly tossed in balsamic vinaigrette dressing. When it was time for our dessert, I saw that they upgraded my son's pizookie to a full-sized one, lit a candle, and wished him a happy birthday. These small acts of kindness go a long way, it made my son's day special. It was a little after lunch so it wasn't crowded, and the noise level was average. The real reason I came to visit is because I wanted to try their Halloween dessert treats. The simplicity of a pizookie invokes my inner child. I found they have lunch specials at an unbelievable price, and one of the specials includes what I wanted to order. Mini pizza and salad combo, comes with a mini pizookie. The house salad with ranch dressing was a nice start. The BJ's Favorite mini pizza came loaded with toppings. It's not the best I've ever had but not bad at all. All of the ingredients tasted fresh, on a deep dish soft crust. For dessert, I chose the white chocolate mac nut pizookie, mini sized. It was a bit too sweet for my palate. There was a bit of breading, and it was fairly salty. The loaded burgers were tasty, though the buns are very large. The Bacon Guacamole Burger was tasty, and it also ran a tad salt. The fries were a tad greasy and also fairly salty, though the texture was good. Their blue cheese dip was a good pair with the fries. Our server was responsive and regularly checked up on those, though service err'd towards the slower side. At times, asking for a side or a water refill took ~ 5 minutes. We were told there was a wait, then got sat in an empty section, just for no server to come to our table, so we moved to the bar. Time and place.
