We came here to celebrate my mil bday Tuesday 12.04.24 Made dinner reservations in the morning for same day rsvp and it was quick and easy over the phone with the associate. The restaurant was pretty busy as always along w it being the holiday season. What we ordered ~ House Caesar Salad is yummy and isn't too big. Loved it w blue cheese dressing. ~ Chicken Alfredo is decently good. Like any other chicken Alfredo. Nothing stood out. ~ ultimate burger was on the saltier side. But had a good taste to it w the grilled onions topped. ~ Bbq Chicken Deep Dish pizza was good and really thick. One of my fav pizza here at BJ's. ~ Chocolate Chip Chunk Pizookie is all time fav and a must. Cant go wrong with the original Pizookie. Really warm, soft and vanilla topped ice cream of choice was really good. Literally icing to the cake! Service was good and i recall always been great whenever i came and dined here. Only complaint would be the pizza when we got Wasn't hot more like room temperature. We informed our server and she was really apologetic regards to that and took care of us. She did inform her manager with the matter. Parking is pretty big since it's in the same lot as Brea mall and across from The Cheesecake Factory. I went on a Saturday evening, checking in online for the waitlist at 5:22pm. We arrived to the restaurant around 5:40pm and were told it would be another 15-20min. Ended up being seated at 6:05ish. It was nice they accommodated us having a dog, seating us at the patio. We were both going to order their weekend special combo - pork chop or prime rib. But our waiter said they were sold out of both, and we were told we could not swap another entree to get the special. Pretty unfortunate that they don't make enough for their weekend special that gets customers in the door just to disappoint and not offer it. Settled on a salad and pizza which we know are solid. My entree salad came out to the table 5-10 minutes before my Dad's pizza, which should be served at the same time. Had to ask our waiter for water refills, which took a while since he was assigned the entire patio area in addition to having to run food from the kitchen. With the specials issue, long waits to be seated and get our food, and no food runners, we could tell this location was poorly managed, and under staffed for the weekend crowd. This is our go-to BJs location as VIP rewards members, and they missed the mark on this visit. Being told they couldn't even give us a small pizookie to honor their special or to apologize for the poorer service is very cheap of them. read more

I remember when this location first opened and I can't believe people still eat here. Recently met my friend's from out of town here for dinner and was shocked at how packed it was. It's hard finding parking here. Service was fine our server checked on us often. My two friends ordered the pizzokie deal which was unlimited soup and salad and a pizzokie for $13.99. I ordered a chocolate chip pizzokie and it was ok. I think the cookie I got was a little thin and didn't take up the whole pan. I'd definitely come back for the pizzokie deal and to see if their pizza is still good, although, I noticed no one sitting around us ordered a pizza. read more

We decided to stop by BJ's for brunch while in the area picking something up, and honestly the best part about the entire experience would have been the great parking and three minute wait time to be seated. Once we got past that hump, almost every part of our experience took a downhill turn. I don't recall what our server told us exactly, but I recall that he said it was a new system on their tablets, I'm not sure if he said he was new or not. The entire time we were there, it felt like we were waiting....constantly waitiing, no matter what it was that we were asking for. The first was a very unwashed knife.....that we had to remind our server about....then had to flag another server down for.... For appetizers, we opted for the lemon pepper wings.....which came out burnt. We asked for a side of buffalo sauce....and waited.....until our entrees came out. Circling back to the new system on the tablets, I ordered the Hickory Brisket and Bacon burger, which was very good, but my wife ordered the Italian Parmigiana Chicken Pasta, and received the Parmesan crusted chicken. At this point, we didn't want to argue, and my wife was okay with what she received, so we decided to just let it be. We had wanted to order either a pizookie or the mini pizookies, but after waiting and waiting without so much as a refill on our drinks, we opted to just take our food to go. Therein, we asked our server for to-go containers.....then asked another server for to-go containers......then waited for the bill. Even that took a while to come back...along with to-go drinks. My husband and I stopped in for the first time and had a very nice experience. Jessica, the host, was very welcoming when we arrived, they sat us in less than 20 minutes. Raymond was our server and he was very attentive and helpful with the menu, which we appreciated since it was our first visit. I had a few modifications to my order and he made sure everything was put in correctly without any issue. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Raymond kept a positive attitude the whole time regardless of all my requests and checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed. I'm really disappointed with the service here. I called a week ahead to book a reservation for 11 people, and everything seemed confirmed. But when we showed up, they said they didn't have my name anywhere. It completely disrupted our plans and made our group wait unnecessarily. Total time for our meal was close to 2 hours. Most of it was sitting and waiting for the food. Wish they would open up more sections and not cramp the lunch crowd into a tiny little area. First off I've always received the best customer service at any BJ's pizza I've visited. So let's make that very clear this isn't about customer service. Heard that they changed their pizzas and that they were better. So I had to return and find out. I ordered the new 5 meat with extra cheese. The pizza had less cheese than regular. /and there was so much toppings that just feel oof cause there really wasn't any cheese. The dough was slightly under baked and it was like eating a dish washing sponge. Since this was a to go order on a Sunday evening. I don't want to drive back out. I attempted to reserve a table for 12, but was told that they don't take reservations and that I would need to call two hours before my arrival on the day of. Not only was the hostess rude, but so was the manager, Jose. It seems there is a lack of proper training, and based on reviews left just 10 days ago, misinformation appears to be a recurring issue. Fortunately, Reunion Kitchen was able to accommodate us without issue. I also called corporate to file a complaint, as the manager at Brea acted as if contacting corporate was of no concern. I truly hope this location learns proper customer service skills from corporate; they took my complaint so professional and kind. When we signed in we got a text saying it was going to be 20-25 min , after 50 I ask and host justifies with "there's a lot of people" yeah ! You would've told me before and would've gone somewhere else. After we ordered they brought just 2 orders and we were 3 , they took more than 15 min to bring the other order. I reserved a table for 10 on OpenTable for Mother's Day lunch without a hassle. On the day of, we were about 10 minutes late (I called to make sure it was okay) and they were so gracious about it. We got seated as soon as the majority of our party was present and the flow of the meal went great! Michael was our server and he was top notch. There were a lot of different asks between both sides of my family, and he was very accommodating. He was really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and didn't make a fuss when we asked for extra things here and there. I've had a terrible dining service at other locations, but this one is probably my best experience thus far. I get why people love coming here! BJ's food and drinks are always good. Three gourmet burgers (crispy jalapeno; Brisket bacon; bacon-guac), an Asian chopped salad, four drinks (house cab; Mango cart pint; white peach bobarita; n/a strawberry dream, and a large pan pizza half buffalo chicken half meat pizza. A shared Oreo pizookie for dessert, yum, this was delicious. My large bacon guacamole deluxe burger, was cooked to medium and I subbed in onion rings as my side (+extra charge). The rings were very good but you only get 6-7 vs lots of fries. An ample amount of guacamole on the burger! It was loud inside with the chatter and the music playing. They had the Kings v Wild game on half the televisions with a college football game on the others. Seemed a little less rowdy by the time we were leaving. I tried using the QR code to pay but attempting to add the two gift cards was too complicated on the phone app. Christian handled them expertly (wrote them down on his note pad) and put the remaining balance onto my CC. Came here for dinner tonight with friends, was a really busy night and the parking lot was under construction. But still able to find parking ok. Was a delicious dinner, had a cocktail tonight something strawberry lol it was good I usually don't drink but why not? Was a very enjoyable dinner. The service was good even though it was very very busy tonight. Thank you for good service the food was filling and the ribs honestly were delicious, they had almost like a candied coating of the BBQ sauce, really liked it. I'm very full lol! We also order pizza, jambalaya, burger, pastas and some other dishes. I would come back here absolutely! The only thing I did forget to mention is that they forgot the appetizer lol so I brought the stars down to 4 because of that.
