Denny's breakfast for dinner carries a bit of nostalgia for me--like an old, college stomping ground sort of the familiar feeling no matter where you are. We were greeted and quickly seated -- the place just has clean, old vibe. The menu is pretty run-of-the-mill, with all the usual staples like pancakes, eggs, and hash browns. Today, my roommate and I split a diner and the breakfast Slam. The pancakes were decent, nothing particularly memorable but satisfying enough if you're craving a traditional breakfast for dinner. The prices had gone up for 2 pancakes, sausage and hash browns. The hash browns were not crispy even when I specifically ask if it possible that could be grilled longer. Service was okay--nothing stood out as exceptional, but it got the job done. The food did come out pretty fast! Overall, it's exactly what you'd expect from a diner like Denny's: a comfortable, no-frills spot that delivers an average breakfast experience but enough to to keep drawing me back! :) read more

This is the best Denny's I've been to in a while. I came here to finish a paper. David greeted me and let me know where the outlets are. They brought me my caffeinated tea with lemon, honey, and - lo and behold - a teapot??? I'd never been given one at a Denny's. Coupled with 2 lemon wedges and honey, it was a note of encouragement before a long night (see: photo). That David provided me with attentive care in spite of the light order was telling, telling of professionalism and character to start. The staff are caring, and there is decent parking. I will be returning for a meal next time. I have my fingers crossed this table will be available. It's quiet and the only table with outlet access! read more

While I've written reviews for Denny's before, I felt as if this location deserved one. Denny's is a late night institution and this location has satisfied my late night munchies & drunchies over the past 3 years. The service here is decent, as you'd expect from a Denny's. I would advise to cut the servers some slack during the later hours and they are dealing with drunks, transients, and etc. The food is okay as always, but the breakfast sandwich on their value menu is surely a deal for $8. read more

I don't normally eat at Denny's but this location is only a block away from my home so I'll sometimes grab a quick breakfast here. I signed up for their birthday club years ago so I was here on this visit to grab my free birthday value slam meal for this year. I sat at the bar so I could get in and out quickly. I was immediately greeted by Liz who was very friendly and took great care of me. She started to hand me a menu but I told her I already knew what I wanted and she quickly took my order. In less than five minutes breakfast was served. The bacon was nice and crispy as ordered, eggs perfectly over easy, and two yummy pancakes. I chowed down and I was literally in and out in only fifteen minutes. The service was really great and quick and this basic breakfast was a good way to start my day. Disappointing service. I came here to use my birthday promo. I was confused as the Everyday value slam wasn't on the menu. Our server Liz did not give us the menu with the "Diner Deals". We heard the table next to us also ask for something that wasn't on the menu they were given. When I asked if we could change our order to substitute some a la carte items we ordered with one of the Diner Deals menu items she said she couldn't as she sent the order to the kitchen. We proceeded to wait 30 min for our food (It was a slow/not busy weekday morning). Our server also did not check on us aside from taking our drink and food order. She was occupied hanging up decorations around the register. We will not be coming back here. If you come, suggest making explicit you want to see all the menus so you can make the most informed decision! read more

The morning/day staff are very inattentive towards customers needs. I ordered a Lumberjack Slam with coffee. These are the "hashbrowns" that I received- picture is shown below. They were burnt and full of grease. I asked for new hashbrowns and got them a few minutes later. Throughout my stay there, the waiter came over to me twice. I asked for napkins, a straw, and received only napkins. I flagged them down to ask for a straw but in all that time, they took my creamers away without asking if I wanted more coffee with them and didn't ask if I wanted more water. By far, the worst time I've had here. I strongly suggest coming here after 10pm, where the waiters are worth the tip. They are super attentive and friendly, and always looking out for the customer. By the way, the restaurant was pretty slow when I was here and people were finishing their morning breakfast. read more

I usually come here to study for classes. I was here for 5 hours and i asked for bacon in my order and didn't receive it but I'll give that benefit of doubt. However I only received one coffee refill despite it saying it's unlimited. I wasn't helped for 2 hours. I asked in my 3rd hour for a coffee refill and she tells me there's a 2 hour limit ? but i wasn't served after my 1st hour ? plus the menu doesn't say anything about there being a time limit either. Either way it doesn't excuse the fact no one helped if I needed anything for almost 3 hours !!! not even to offer to-go boxes ! I'm a server myself, I've been to this location multiple times, at different times of the day, and have always gotten coffee refills and great service. If there was a change in coffee, i'd understand but the website and menu don't say anything about it. This was just terrible. read more

I come to this Dennys all the time to study : ) The staff is wonderful and keeps my coffee refilled even if I stay for many hours at a time. Everyone is very kind and attentive. The food is always hot and comes out on time. The value slams (I usually get the 10$ super slam) are really worth the price considering how much food you get. And they are always available if you just ask! This particular Dennys is also typically decorated for the hollidays and plays pleasant music while I work. There are also lots of available window seats as well as a booth in the back with a charging port, which I really appreciate. Thank you Dennys Fullerton staff!! I've always been to this Dennys since it's very close to my home, never again. I was there today around 10:30am, the staff is not attentive at all, notice it the last couple of times always the same staff, that includes the Manager not friendly at all. I got my breakfast but not my sister's breakfast and the waitress said nothing. We waited and waited, I finally had to ask, she only ordered eggs and hash browns, give me a break!, they gave us a sob story as to why it took longer they did not even apologize for it. Omg! 5/5 This Dennys is the best in service late night and every time I come here to this location! The food is always hot and made to order and the service is with a smile and giving us the best service and helping us decide on what to get and seating is right away no matter if it's in the middle of the night or during normal bussiness hours our server TANO never fails to amaze us!!! I always come here every Thursday to either dine in or grab a mango smoothie. Every Thursday I'm also greeted by Luis, who is a very kind and wonderful gentleman to meet! We had a conversation about mangos since he comes from Mexico and had the best mangos over there! I definitely keep coming back to this same location when I'm up here in Fullerton, and every time Luis is there to greet me just as he did the week before! Denny's - good old Denny's. It always feels a bit like home, doesn't it? Well maybe not always but when David is your server and you're eating at the restaurant on Nutwood in Fullerton it sure does! The weather is scorching and here he comes again to refresh my iced tea and make sure all is well. In this era of reducing costs by forcing us to order at the counter it certainly is nice to be waited on. The service and food are quite good here - and it's a place to simply sit down and enjoy a meal in comfort. I am grateful that it's here and recommend it highly. I'll keep comin' back. read more

Called ahead to verify they were 24/7 and if they took Apple Pay. They did ! I'm currently expecting so my food craving was a club sandwich but finding one at 1am was gonna be hard ! I'm so happy and glad they were open ! I was able to choose my seating Waitress was sweet and kind I ordered the club sandwich but cut in 4 and no fries instead fresh fruit . They made that adjustment with no hesitation. The sandwiches were great for my personal preference it had to much ham but I took some out and yep Still delicious Yep I finished my meal And definitely will be coming here for my next craving ! So convenient to be open this late especially if you work Night Shift or get late night cravings ! I did see a few crumbs left behind so cleaning can be a bit better but I can't complain :) The gentleman was also very lovely and made sure I was liking my food !
