I hadn't been to this IHOP in years. I love breakfast, but I'm more of a savory type over pancakes and waffles. I ordered pick up today so I can't say much about service besides what i experienced at the counter. The person who got my order was polite and double checked that my order was correct before sealing the bag with the order. There is plenty of parking at this location, and it's conveniently located right off imperial. The inside looks like it's been remodeled and looks pretty good. Food is what you'd expect at any IHOP. Who knew IHOP offered a 55+ menu? It's a fantastic option, offering great value for seniors. We were pleasantly surprised by the choices and affordability. We enjoyed the Rise and Shine Breakfast Plate and I enjoyed the incredibly moist and tender Sirloin Steak Breakfast with Pancakes. We were actually there to redeem some coins, which auntie scored us an extra stack of three pancakes for free! The restaurant was clean and has plenty of parking. Our waitress was absolutely superb. I ate brunch here with family and had the big breakfast burrito ($15.49) with hash browns on the side. Service was good as usual, and there were tables open on a late Saturday morning. The breakfast burrito was certainly filling. It had a mixture of bacon pieces, sausage links, hash browns, scrambled eggs, jack and cheddar cheeses, and hollandaise. The breakfast burrito wasn't as enjoyable because it fell apart easily, and the ingredients didn't seem to complement each other. It's like they let the cheeses and hollandaise do all the work of flavoring the burrito. I think adding in vegetables (e.g., onions, tomatoes, and peppers) could've enhanced the taste. Also, I would've preferred soft, diced potatoes instead of hash browns in the burrito. read more

What a bad experience I had picking up an online order here. I waited over 40 mins for buttermilk pancakes and medium steak and eggs - and it wasn't even busy! It went well over the time it said it would be ready in and the hostess was way too nonchalant about it. Granted, a manager is the one who should be making sure things happen timely. The servers here are kind people and fun to talk to if you wish to talk to them. I enjoyed my free short stack and $7 egg and hashbrow combo. The wait wasn't long at all. We came 12/23/2025 on a Tuesday and it was almost empty. Which surprised me of the following. It took really long to get our food and when we did get it, most of it was cold. The drinks got significantly smaller! The glasses for orange juice and water were smaller than my hand and yet my Father in Law received a full size soda. There were some side dishes missing that we didn't get until we got the check. The table next to us also mentioned they were missing food and we only saw our waitress 3 times. The staff were nice regardless of how the kitchen handled our food. We came here for breakfast so I could use a gift card that was given to me for here. This was the highest rated IHOP in the area on Yelp. We were seated right away and the service here was quick and friendly. To drink I got an orange juice and to eat I ordered the crepe with berries combo with bacon and scrambled eggs. Went there this time as it was close and convenient to where we were out shopping at and I am glad we stopped Got standard fare scrambled eggs and bacon. Both were great this time - eggs were properly prepared being firm but still most and not the "overcooked" brown that takes away the flavor of the egg. This IHOP in Brea is the best one! I've been coming to this location for over 10 years and the food is always fresh and good! The restaurant is extremely clean and comfortable. The service is first class!! Juana is one of the servers and she is truly amazing. Always polite, courteous and friendly! She always ask if we need anything else and is attentive to our needs. I love this location so much that I've had our church monthly dinners at this place. Juana has been our server and she's able to provide a group of 25 ppl excellent service.
