To get the ideal BJ's experience, you gotta stick to beers, get simple straightforward entrees or apps, and come with a group. Oh and also try at least one insane menu item that you know will be bad and is bad but is fun to try like a B movie. In our case, I got the salmon with the cherry glaze, which was incredible. I got the Oasis Amber Ale, which was totally fine. Like it was good! And then someone at my table got the Dubai Chocolate espresso martini, which was truly vile in a way that was a delight to hate. And then our server was actually one of the best servers I've ever had anywhere. Charming, fast, accurate, knew exactly when to prompt for more waters or a second drink, and rolled with our truly stupid seating arrangement relative to our checks without blinking. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. From the moment we sat down, service was practically nonexistent. Our server never once came by to check on us during the entire meal. We had to actually get up and go look for him just to ask for basic things. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying guests. The worst part of the evening came when I received my dessert--only to find a hair in it. Disgusted, I went to speak with the manager, expecting at least a basic apology or an effort to make things right. Instead, I was met with an attitude. His response? "Well why didn't you let me know?" I was genuinely confused--wasn't that exactly what I was doing by coming to speak with him? Rather than trying to fix the situation, the manager gave us an even harder time than the server. He was defensive and dismissive, making an already bad experience even worse. What should have been a simple opportunity to offer a sincere apology and a small gesture of goodwill turned into an uncomfortable exchange that left a sour taste--literally and figuratively. Needless to say, I won't be returning, and I would caution others to think twice before dining here. A little accountability and professionalism go a long way--unfortunately, this place had neither. read more

The side salad that came with it had good fresh veggies, and a very light dressing. My wife got the Kale Brussels Salad with grilled shrimp. I tried their Kentucky Bourbon Ale which was fantastic, as it's my favorite beer flavor - so definite points for having that on tap. My husband tried the Grand Cru beer but he liked mine better! It is worth mentioning that it also has free pieces of chicken and husband's lungs, unlimited supply. Only regret is that my stomach is too small to taste all the dishes!
