Great drinks, black cherry smash is a great balance. The margarita was consistent and well made. The Jameson peach tea was a great desirable lasting taste. Feast for 2 is a flavor blast in your mouth St. Louis Ribs were delicious every bite, the brisket was all about that tenderism, the baked chicken was falling clean off the bone so clean it made you rethink the possibilities of chicken. Mashed potatoes smooth and delightful, cornbread fluffy and perfect taste profile, yuca fries a hit, don't touch the sautéed vegetables at all. It was the only negative part about the experience. We stopped in to grab a quick sandwich before visiting someone in the hospital. We ordered two brisket sandwiches; one with fries the other with the onion strings. It was 2:00 pm on 05/14/2026. The sandwiches were delivered to us by the waiter, who was also the host at the door. The brisket was chopped up into little squares, cold and tasteless. The buns were cold as if they were just pulled out of the bag from inside the cooler. The onion strings were greasy and the fries were undercooked. The only redeeming thing on the plate was the single slice of tomato and the pickled onions. As well, the waiter overcharged us for the sandwiches. At $19.99 per sandwich, I would definitely expect something that would have blown my mind. These did not. Even if we were billed at the $15.79 lunch rate, I would have expected something better than what we received. The place was fairly empty (only a handful of tables occupied), but it was clean. I'm just extremely disappointed in the whole visit. Ehh .. At first glance upon arriving it appeared good. Clean and plenty of servers/staff. Our waitress was friendly and took our order promptly. What we ordered: The hubs ordered a Long Island Ice Tea from the bar- good Burnt ends and cheese sticks - the apps were good- nothing over the top Cheeseburger - 6/10 it lacked flavor and was just plain Chicken breast plate w/ mashed potatoes and corn on the cob - 5/10 this dish had no flavor at all. The chicken was not seasoned and over cooked which made it taste extremely dry. The mashed potatoes were so plain and the corn was literally taken out of the water that it was cooked in because it tasted like water no flavor just bad. Hubs ordered - a mixed plate that had a chicken breast, steak, sausage baked potatoe and corn on the cob .. he said it was just "safe" in other words no flavor no seasoning just plain. What can I say? Don't mess with perfection I've gone to other barbecue places, South West Palm Beach to Miami and the best place is famous Dave's. First of all I always said goodbye and get great service on the bartenders. Drinks are fairly priced and the menu at all. It is fairly price. This time I went straight to the food because I wanted a platter that brings a little bit of everything so I did order that platter. It was like a feast. It brought three ribs, cornbread corn on the cob with fries, mac & cheese barbecue chicken and brisket and baked beans. Every single ingredient was perfectly prepared. The ribs are almost amazing to superb. The preparation looks competition style as well as the brisket. Perfectly cooked perfectly sliced great pack of cheese great corn on the cob. The baked beans were amazing and so are they fried fries? I forgot to also say that I brought coleslaw. I mean this was endless. What can I say I almost finished it but it was a delight. Lots of napkins and lots of barbecue sauce just the way I like it. Add Jack Daniels to perfection. Perfection love the Bible. Seeing this place is always packed. There always got the game on great bar scene this is my go to place. I love it if you come you're missing out. We were in the Doral area and decided to try Famous Dave's for the first time since the menu sounded great -- but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The drinks were pretty watered down, which didn't make much sense since it wasn't busy at all. Service was also really slow -- it took about 20 minutes just to cash out after getting the check. The tequeño cheese bites were actually really good, but we didn't get the aioli sauce that was listed on the menu. The boneless wings (not pictured) were a bit chewy and seemed overcooked. For the main entrée, we went with the Memphis-style baby back ribs. The menu said they were smoked for hours, but they tasted more like Chili's dry rub ribs. The mac and cheese had corn mixed in (which was odd), and the onion strings were cold -- probably sitting out for a bit. Our order was placed at 12:58pm. My son got the kids bbq chicken with sautéed veggies and an Oreo cookies. I got the lunch brisket with sautéed veggies. There is ample seating that can accommodate groups of various sizes. We received our food 15 minutes later. The food was delicious! I added some salt/pepper to the veggies but no complaints. Famous Dave's is located in Doral by CityPlace Doral. Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday on a week night and it wasn't too busy. We had a large group so we made a reservation ahead of time. Although we made a reservation, they weren't ready by the time we arrived and we still had to wait a little to be seated so they could prepare our area. I liked how we were seated in a pretty private area with just our large group. The server was pretty prompt and attentive taking our drink & food orders as fast as he could while letting us know that it may take a while since there were several large parties that night. I shared the Feast for One and it was a good amount of food- ribs, chicken, brisket, and a few sides. We added the Burnt Ends for an extra $8 and a loaded baked potato. I don't think adding the burnt ends to this was worth it and will probably opt for it as an appetizer next time. Overall, the food was pretty good, especially considering I don't really like BBQ. The Devil's Spit was the best sauce and a great addition in flavor to what we got. read more

I go to Famous Dave's frequently when I'm in the area ! I went on March 16, 2025 . I ordered take out . Usually I check my food before I leave - for whatever reason this time I didn't ! What a mistake . When I got home (I live near the zoo) I was pissed at the quality of food I got . I ordered a combo- wings and St Louis ribs , baked beans and coleslaw . I never got the baked beans ; they gave me mac and cheese (I hate mac and cheese ), and the ribs were meatless - no meat on then bone at all! The wings were old and dry but slathered with sauce to try to cover up the fact that they were old ! To say I was pissed is an understatement! If I lived closer I would have returned the meal ! My friend and I were looking for a close by restaurant and ended up here. We went on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy. We were seated immediately and placed our drink orders. My margarita was very well made. My friend had an ice cold beer. I ordered a burger and she ordered the ribs. It was a lot better than we expected. The server wasn't as attentive once the food arrived. He finally came by and my friend ordered another beer. After waiting almost 20 minutes he brought out the wrong beer. They have soft music and aTV's with sports. Our waitress Maria was very friendly and attentive and the service was tremendous. Then the food came. Very nicely plated and good portions. Birthday lunch with the family and course I had to have bbq. Specifically famous Dave's. Great location in doral city place and great ambience in a comfy sports bar ish way Great staff! Martin stands out and our wonderful and patient waitress whose name I failed to get, were above and beyond outstanding. They did not bat an eye that among our group were 5 littles who were not all that silent. We requested one of the semi private rooms (doors close! ) which was perfect for our noisy family. We got the sampler platter appetizer the burnt tips (yum) and the chorizo (tasty). My blue Long Island iced tea was perfectly tasty and just boozy enough that I could handle only one. The food was deliciously tasty. My baby back ribs and melt in your mouth brisket were so good i moaned with every bite. The bread pudding is an absolute must. So deliciously decadent, barely there sweet topped with pecan sauce, paired with ice cream and heavy whipped. Great place, great food, great ambience. Everything was great. The ribs are good, but certainly not great - no bark. The available bbq sauces are very good. The potato salad and coleslaw, I selected as sides, were both slightly above average. The corn muffin was below average - a waste of time making them. I had a beer which was overpriced to begin with and when I inquired about the size, the waitress acknowledged that all their beers are sold in 10 ounce glasses - that's 5/8ths of a pint, which is a normal size, yet they are expensive. I did them a favor with the 3; if there was an option 2.5, I'd of done that. read more

After a recommendation from a friend, I decided to go here for my daughter's birthday. Needless to say, I was expecting a better quality of food. The menu selection can be a little overwhelming in the sense that you have to really ask a lot of questions to understand what you want from almost a set menu. The server should be asking if we have visited before to help understand the menu. While the service, decor, and ambiance were good, the overall rating to 3.5 stars was because of the latter three things mentioned. The food was not up to par. I must begin with the pasta. The fettuccine, according to my daughter, tasted like high-school Mac and cheese (way too much cheese) was used on this plate. We ended up ordering two specialty plates and but the food was and needed more temperature. The corn was the least sweet, with no melted butter on the side to at least change the simple taste it had. The quesadillas needed more taste and less puffiness with more condiments. On a sad note, I would barely recommend this place if you only stick to regular dishes like ribs and chicken. I have tried Famous Dave at Gilbert Arizona more than 10 years ago so I tried visit this location. We ordered 3 MEAT COMBO for each. I have tried all meat. Southside Rib Tips is my favorite and recommendation!. Next 2nd place is Smoked Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage . I have tried my wife 's plate Hot Link Sausage and Georgia Chopped Pork , they are ok for me. The downside is Texas Beef Brisket ,kind of hard and too sweet not juicy and tender as I ate before or even different from other BBQ Beef Brisket..so far I won't order this one in the future. We went in on a Sunday afternoon, we have been there a few other times, they have ample free parking which is always a plus. We saw a dish being served as we walked in that looked amazing so we asked what it was and ordered the same unfortunately it wasn't. We ordered under via the additional menu grilled meats which says Picanha a 12oz sirloin around$26.9 and add 8oz short rib for$10.29, we were served about half the the portion of sirloin and very small fatty piece of short rib, the waitress tried telling us that was the portion size, so we asked for the manager, the manager came and tried to say the same thing that you only get 8 ounces when you order both (I added the menu picture and you can clearly see what it says), I then proceeded to show him the menu which clearly states 12 ounce and then add Short rib for 10.29 , he then said it must of been a computer mistake which gave you the combo instead and we would only be charged for the combo but they would fix it, so they took the food back, I showed him that the short rib was a bad piece. He said it would be replaced, 10 minutes later they brought back the same plate, the same piece of fatty short rib which was now burnt, they added one small piece of meat to the plate, and they re-cook the other two pieces of meat, which were now completely overcooked, and dry, we ordered cornbread and never received it. We were charged the full price not the combo price at that point we just paid and left. FYI if it was a computer mistake why did the receipt have the correct order on it? Our sides were also half the size as the couple next to us when we ordered exact same thing, so they gave us new sides. read more

I have driven by here so often that i made it a point to come here before heading to the improv. It was around 7pm and plaxe was pretty empty on a Sunday. Seated immediately however our waitress wasn't too versed on the menu. We ended up ordering the 3 meat sampler and it came w 2 sides and honestly it was enough to share. The meats we ordere were pulled chicken (pretty bland and wouldn't order again), brisket (came out cold and also bland with no flavor), and boneless wings (this redeemed the review for me). The sides were also meh. It came with cornbread which was pretty tasty. Would i come back, no. Would i recommend this place, no.
