It is true that they make the best pan con bistec
Larry C.

It is the best pan con bistec in Miami, the place is a traditional bodega and the sandwich is delicious.

The ultimate study spot where you can eat forever and study forever. Go in the morning to pay for…read morethat breakfast price and stay and study your life away until dinner haha. There are plenty of outlets and tables. Plenty of food options available too! Breakfast there's a make your own waffle area and an omelette station. This is a great price for college students where all meal times are under $10. Breakfast is the cheapest and the most important meal of the day. I love how there's a variety of teas and drinks. They have their own fruit infused waters too! The only bad thing is that the bathrooms are located outside of the restaurant. They are right across from the restaurant. Just tell the cashier that you have to go and they will let you back in with no problems. This place is a great dining option on campus. Food is decent and the area is clean and spacious. Highly recommend for students!

Everyone here is nuts. The hot food at the cafeteria food court is great. Like it's a cafetería, so…read moreobviously it's not fine dining lol. But there really is a lot of homemade good food to get a hungry college student through the day. I see so many people though loading up on hamburgers or hot dogs or whatever other fast food they have. But there's so many more options that it's a shame. There's an allergy friendly station. A vegan station. A hot comfort food station. A decent sized varied salad bar. A pizza/ pasta station. A deli station. A soup station. A dessert station. And even coffee and soft serve. There's so many fresh veggies and protein options that they really make it easy to eat a healthy and nutritious filling meal no matter your preferences. Just yesterday, there was a spicy Moroccan beef stew and stir fry tofu and curry chicken! What's not to like?! Now, if you still eat like an elementary school student and only want nuggies and mac and cheese every day, then you may have an issue. But I guess for those people, there's a Chick-fil-A and Wendy's and taco bell outside, so just stay there! They occasionally overcook some chicken or undercook some veggies but that's really the worst. And for 12$ all you can eat (less if you're buying the meal plans) you really can't lose here.

Chili is one of my most favorite casual restaurants chains and it's been a while since we have…read moreeaten there. This past weekend we decided to have dinner at their West Kendall location. It was packed but luckily we were seated within minutes of our arrival. For starters we ordered their chip and salsa which is simple but so comforting, the chips were very fresh and the salsa was very flavorful without being too spicy. The next appetizer we ordered is their new Nashville hot fried mozzarella squares which was mind blowing the flavors and the texture just gave the right vibe. For our main entree we ordered a burger with fries, steak fajitas, and boneless buffalo chicken wings. Everything was solid especially the tender boneless chicken wings. For dessert we ordered their chocolate lava cake which was good but I wish there was more chocolate lava inside. Chili did not disappoint and looking forward for our next trip.

Saturday lunch. Presidente Margarita was pretty good and…read morethere was a lot of it. We all got the 3 for me menu and I loved mine: sirloin, loaded mash, broccoli. And Caesar salad. Can't beat that for $16. And it was delicious. Carne asada meal was very small and missing tortilla. Burger was big and tasty. Iced tea was great. Chicken crispers (aka chicken tenders) were ok with a meh corn on the cob and fries. Server was great; energetic, friendly, on the ball! Missing kids corn and got charged for it but no big deal. It was busy. Conclusion: I would def recommend and be back.

Let's talk about it. My son's birthday was coming up, and he…read morewanted to have dinner at either Texas Roadhouse or LongHorn with the family. We got to LongHorn, and they had a two-hour wait, so we decided to take a trip to Texas Roadhouse instead. A couple of us hadn't been there before. The table was ready fairly quickly, which we thought was amazing, but that's pretty much where it ended. We were greeted by a server named Javi, or maybe even Javier. The guy was wearing a face mask in 2026, which was very weird. As soon as he opened his mouth, he really started trying to upsell us on every single thing, which was uncomfortable. There were no prices on the drinks, so we asked for the drink prices, and all the prices he told us were wrong. Everything was a lot higher than what he suggested it was. He was even able to sneak in an upsell for smothered mushrooms on my 16-year-old daughter and my 60-year-old dad's steak. It really felt like he was picking on the people he knew he could just add things onto and we wouldn't notice until the bill arrived, which was very tacky. The service itself was extremely slow. We had to wait 20 minutes to put in our order and at least 10 minutes to request refills or additional beverages. The food was subpar at best. The ribs were dry and the steak was extremely flimsy - yet tender. The baked potato was the best thing that we ate the entire night. All the kids left the majority of their food. My parents were not impressed, and the ambience itself was just low class. We won't be coming here again. There's nothing that would attract us to returning.

We came with a large party of 14 and called twice ahead of time to ask how the process worked and…read morewhat we should do. Both times we were told to simply call an hour before arriving. When we got there, the story completely changed -- suddenly it was no, there was a very long wait, no we needed everyone present, and no we couldn't be seated together and would have to split into two tables. This lack of clarity caused a lot of unnecessary stress and frustration. We ended up waiting nearly 2.5 hours, which was especially hard with kids in the group who were very hungry. When we were finally seated, we were split into two tables with two different servers, and it honestly felt like we weren't dining together at all. The smaller table received drinks and bread much faster, while the larger table's waitress seemed annoyed and disengaged. We spoke to two managers, but unfortunately nothing was done to improve the situation. The service wasn't terrible, but it definitely felt dismissive, and overall the experience was frustrating. That said, the food itself was good. The rolls and honey butter are always delicious, the margaritas were solid, the beer was ice cold in those big frozen mugs, and the steaks were tasty -- though slightly more cooked than requested (understandable given how busy they were). I would come back again for the food, but at a different location, and I would definitely recommend going with a smaller group. Clearer communication over the phone about large parties would go a long way in preventing situations like this.
