My wife and I enjoyed our visit. She had the Wednesday Steak and Lobster special and I had the New Orleans Salmon with mozzarella sticks as our appetizer. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy on the outside and chewy and delicious on the inside, my wife says they are the best mozzarella sticks she has ever had. The steak was well done even though my wife asked for medium and it was not seasoned at all. The lobster was a little salty for our taste. Come today to have a quick bite and ended up having the new lobster dish (Lobster Lovers Dream - The full plate). This dish was awesome in every sense of the way. One minor imperfection was the saltiness of the teriyaki lobster which can be downsize with some cocktail sauce. Our experience was one that can be said had purpose and meaning. We decided we were going to celebrate our anniversary at Red Lobster and it was the best experience hands down we've had in Miami. No reservations needed. We came in and were sat right away even though it seemed like it was pretty busy inside. We sat at a booth near the bar and I'm pretty sure the bartender was the one that took care of us. We quickly ordered the scallops with bacon and I got the Sunset Passion Colada. I did not like the drink but my husband did so I got a glass of Riesling instead. Which was delicious. The scallops were beautifully done but the bacon overpowered the taste of the scallops a bit. Walked in at around 8:30pm June 22 & the male host immediately greeted & sat us towards the right at a table by the bar area. He left us with the menus and we were presently surprised on the fast service. After looking at the menus for a while we were ready to order. We sat there for at least 10-15 minutes with no waiter or waitress even greeting us or even giving us some waters or biscuits. The place wasn't even very busy and looked around and seemed as though other tables were waiting as well some with waters and biscuits but no food. ORDERED: Cajun Chicken Alfredo over linguine $18.49 Good Cesar side salad $2.49 After server (Giselle N.) brought my food she NEVER came back to see if everything was alright. My go to red lobster location and it's been a while since I've been back. I have to say the new management and menu has improved tremendously. I wish the unlimited shrimp was still around but I can't complain because everything tastes exactly how I remembered it. The service at this location is impeccable. First time in Red Lobster in Doral. The place was maybe half full but apparently there was staff shortage so when we arrived their was s small argument amongst the staff about where we would sit; in front of us. Lol Drinks: Long Island iced tea was mostly lemonade without the liquor (sadness). Martini was missing the requested olives. When my husband told the waiter, he graciously came back with...one olive (no lie). We got our side dishes before the appetizer Food, as usual was always pretty good. However I was a little disappointed with the snow crab claws in my Ultimate Feast platter: they were skinny and pretty meatless. I wish my body was like that. The other selections (which the server got wrong but I kept) were shrimp and scallops. I really have to give kudos to Andres, our server, the poor guy was handling like umpteen tables and still breezed by several times to ask if we were ok. My dad was feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to go to Red Lobster. Although I hadn't been there in prob 10 years or more (let's face it, Miami is now a Foodie paradise with so many choices. All the staff we encountered were very nice, friendly & hospitable and our waiter, Amir, was wonderful! He was super attentive & was always nearby when we needed him. As soon as we sat down we each ordered a cocktail (Watermelon Martini for me with double gin to counteract any sweetness & a Berry Sangria for my dad) and 1/2 dozen oysters. Cocktails arrived & while pretty enough, my drink tasted of pure sugar & as if it couldn't get any sweeter, it was garnished with rock candy! I told Amir & he graciously took it away along with my new order of a strong Classic Margarita and assured us it would be removed from the bill. My dad enjoyed his cocktail (i tried it & it was also WAY too sweet for my taste) & we devoured the famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits. My dad liked the oysters but I wasn't too fond of them. For our entrées, My dad went with the Lobster Stuffed Flounder which came with broccoli & rice & I did the "Make-your-Own" meal with Roasted Flounder, Grilled Sea Scallops, Crispy Brussels Sprouts & a House Salad. Unfortunately they were sold out of salad (weird) but Amir said he had gone ahead & switched if with Broccoli, assuming I would like that. He was absolutely right! Once our food came out, there was s mistake with my Flounder. It was fried instead of roasted but I was starving so I kept it. The servers & Amir mentioned many times over that they would take it back & get it right & while I appreciated that, I went ahead & dug in. That stupid commercial on TV hooked me for those lobster tacos and being an avid avoider of chain restaurants, I decided to change up the scenery and come here for a drink and an order of Lobster tacos. I only eat crunchy tacos and these were soft so I opted for the Langostine a spinach Artichoke dip with the tortilla chips instead. It got the job done. That and some cold Lobster Bisque ended up being my Sunday dinner. It just bothers me when a restaurant pours cold soup. Can't you see it's cold when you're pouring it? Can't you tell it's clumpy and almost gelatin-like when it's not properly heated? I have been coming to this location on a weekly basis for over a year, both during lunch and dinner. I have been a Red Lobster loyal customer for over 30 years. I really enjoy the food, the great deals they have for the shrimp, the menu is exciting and always taste delicious. Unfortunately during the past few weeks, as everything that is too good to be true, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I had lunch once again at this location, sat at the bar, as I normally do and ordered the dragon shrimp, New Orleans salmon, lunch portion, a simple all you can eat clam chowder with salad and biscuits. Unfortunately our server, who i did not recognize, maybe she is new, was not at all attentive to our needs. You would think with such a simple item, you couldn't get it wrong, but they did. We received our dragon shrimp, and were served 2 diet cokes. We ate our appetizer and drank our cokes. There were no biscuits, but I can forgive that, because they are popular and run out quickly. Thirty five minutes later, the lunch came. I know exactly how long, for I was looking at my watch, since I was in a lunch restraint. Between the appetizer and the actual food the server did not come to either apologize for the delay or offer to order us anything else, which we would have gladly done. Our diet cokes ran out, and only until the food came did she refill the coke, mind you only one diet coke was refilled, I was the unfortunate person left sucking ice. By this time we were in a rush, hungry, so we decided to eat as quick as possible. My soup was warm, not hot, but at this point I didn't care. I requested the check for we had to leave. Our server, Fernanda, at that time proceeded to ask if I wanted more salad, remember it was all you can eat, really? really? You ask when we have to leave? When we request the check. I used to love this location, they used to have amazing servers, Sony, Valentina, Roxy, Diana, any of those ladies made you feel special, they took the time to ensure your food was on time, hot as it should be. I don't seen any managers on board. It is a shame that such a reputable establishment allows poor service to destroy a reputation of years. I don't have Red Lobster often but I couldn't resist the temptation after seeing all their succulent seafood commercials on TV and what better time to satisfy the craving than during our Stay-Home Easter. The "To Go" online ordering was effortless; and better yet, there was no app to download. I was surprised that it gave me so many entree and side options to chose from given that most restaurants are now offering a limited takeout/pickup menu so that was surprisingly a plus. There was little curbside wait time from the time that they stated that the food was going to be ready - less than 10min. which I didn't think it was an unreasonable time to wait and for it to be brought over to my car. Ordered - *Crunchy Popcorn Shrimp Dinner - The bite sized shrimps were nicely golden and it was a good size portion of a meal. Hubby ordered rice on the side and that also tasted flavorful and fresh. *Seaside Shrimp Trio - Now, when they say a generous sampling, they mean it..! I ate half of my meal and my daughter and I ate the other half the next day. The 6 plump and perfectly cornflake-crusted shrimps were delicious and a meal of its own. I mixed the garlic shrimp with the creamy shrimp linguini Alfredo and it was absolutely delicious and worth all the non-Keto carb calories I had...! *New England Clam Chowder - It was ok - a bit watery and lacked clams. This soup was a staple when I was a kid but it has lost its much acclaimed flair. *Biscuits - biscuits and more biscuits -- All 18 cheddar and buttery rich biscuits were eaten between meals and leftovers...no judging please..! Who can resist those cheddar biscuits asked no-one....they're just delicious and always meet the palate's expectations and waistline. All food needed to be reheated when it got home; unfortunately, it didn't carry well and it was not ready to just serve and eat. But - even with a few minutes in the microwave, the food didn't lose its flavor, consistency and oh so goodness; so for us, it wasn't a deal breaker and will order again. While it took forever for someone to come to the table after we were seated she did make attempts to apologize and make up for the delay. I was so furries with this person I refused to even tip him no more than 15%. My husband and I never do this for we feel a waiter's position as well as bar tenders and kitchen staff have a tuff job already. We began by ordering drinks just Perrier and lemon no ice. This Jose did get right. We order our meals and entrees, although our order consisted of soups and an appetizer this is all we're having. I asked from the beginning for lemon for my soup. Jose answered no worries I'll bring you a bowl of lemons. After serving us the bread and our drinks. Jose returned with the soups again I asked for lemons and he forgets again. Jose then continues with offering us more bread and we said no we were fine. Jose went on to offer the table after us the bread. We were insulted! We felt as if we were being called cheap? do we need to be filled with bread?!?!? We just wanted a simple meal. Again we asked for lemon for my soup. The soups was LUKE WARM to say the least by the time Jose brought by the lemons I would say my soup was STONE COLD. Upon ordering our meals Jose asked would you like your soup then the appetizer? We answered yes distinctly. We were NOT even finished with our soups Jose brought by the lobster pizza anyways. This tells us Jose put all the orders together and let it go. We are extremely disappointed of Jose's service. We have had terrible service before we have even spoken to the manager in the past. The manager has logged our complaint and for our next visit we are to be competed. Although we have never made this claim for we feel we need to pay for our service and meal. On my most recent visit I chose a lunch special they had available that caught my eye. The Shrimp Alfredo Linguine, added some crabmeat to that thang and BANG ! That's all she wrote.! I knew I was pretty hungry coming in so I ordered a small shrimp potsticker appetizer, which was served with this spicy sauce. Pretty tasty appetizer to say the least. My pasta was also served other my choice of salad (Caesar) and those famous garlic bread buns they serve. I personally can't get enough of em, I'd buy em in bulk if they were sold In the grocery store . Their biscuits are off the chain and you can't get better than that. I love how it's modern and it's clean and I love the location. The service is good I can't really complain. After Darden sold Red Lobster we noticed a sharp decrease in quality and service, and a price increase (to add insult to injury). I was incredibly disappointed because Red Lobster has been one of my favorite chain restaurants since the early 80's. At the time I decided not to write negative reviews because I figured that the new owners would have to fix the mess, specially because customers opine with their wallets (bad food, bad service = lost customer). I stopped going to Red Lobster for almost two years, yes .. I had given up on RL. New year new beginnings... we decided to "test" RL, to see how things were going. We went two week ago... and it was good! To be sure, we went last night... and yes, it was very good! In both occasions our waiters were very attentive and efficient. I ordered the surf-and-turf (filet and lobster) and it was excellent, the meat was cooked to perfection and the lobster was well seasoned and tasty. Prices were a bit on the high side, but not a deal breaker. Note: I knocked one star off because we ordered a take-home and when we got home we noticed that they forgot to included the salad and the (amazing) biscuits, very disappointing. Also I think the wine prices are too high... $10 for a house white 9oz? We had water instead.
