The burger was soooooo good I got it medium Well and the ranch bbq sauce topped it nicely. My mom loved the shrimp scampi because it was creamy but there was so much she couldn't finish it. That's not a bad thing at all dinner for later lol. There were so many shrimp so perfect shrimp to pasta ratio. The drinks were to die for it's a brewery so I wasn't shocked. Service was great she was super attentive. The ambiance is cute they have TV's everywhere so great place to watch the game. We definitely came on a bad day because it was freaking ice cold in there because something was wrong with their heat. It was colder inside than it was outside. Blah. I just go to meet up with friends during sporting events. Food is standard bar food, definitely nothing to write home about. Ordered a mini deep dish pizza once, and they used a big hamburger bun as the dough. And no, it wasn't good. It made the pizza soggy with no crispiness. Salads are always drenched in dressing, had to start asking for the dressing on the side. Drinks are ok, depends on the bartender. Anytime I go, I always try something different because nothing so far has been good enough to order twice. read more

Both times we have been here it has taken 30+ minutes just for a waiter to come take our drink order. The food takes a while to come out and overall service is slow. Today we walked out after waiting 30+ minutes for *anyone* to come to our table. We wanted to give them a second chance and thought maybe it was just a bad day. But now that it's happened twice we're not sure it was a one time thing. I'm not saying it's the servers fault. It could be management wanting to "save money" by not employing enough people. We don't want the servers in trouble! The food is good but not worth waiting over an hour for total as happened in our first visit. Only go here if you have LOTS of time. read more

I went to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Laurel for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. I ordered the honey bbq wings and they were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger for my entree and asked for it medium and it was cooked to the perfect temperature. The only thing I was sad about was my old fashion not being the best, but the food and service made up for it. read more

I've been coming to BJ's for a while now, and I always have the pleasure of being served by Grace. She's consistently attentive, pleasant, and provides excellent service both behind the bar and at the tables. However, I've noticed that she is often left to handle the bar and restaurant guests entirely on her own. It's clear that she's doing her best to keep up, but no one person should be expected to manage that much alone. Management really needs to recognize this and ensure the staff has the support they need--great employees like Grace deserve it, and it would make the overall experience even better for customers, too read more

I've typically been an attendant at Glory Days and have never been to BJ's before, so I figured I'd finally give it a try and my experience was very memorable for my first time. I went to this location in laurel as it is the closest to me and I was helped/served by a lovely associate by the name of Grace. She made me drinks that she recommended for my taste preferences which were phenomenal and she even checked on me periodically and o make sure my order was satisfactory and that I was doing ok. My mother and I ordered an app and but were never given silverware. Went up go get some silverware and the server had some in his hands for another table for which he forgot silverware. Finally he brought our silverware to us. Oh yeah, no plates so we had to use our coasters as mini plates to keep the food from our forks from hitting the table. The manager walked by after dealing with another complaint....walked by us and looked at me in the eye as we were eating the appetizer off of our drink coaster plate. Went and sat at the bar and had the GREATEST bartender, Grace. Grace was SUPER kind and speedy with her service. She was able to hold great conversation and still serve all customers at the bar. Highly recommend BJs and definitely request Grace if she's working that day! read more

Back at B.J.'s Brewhouse again. This has been one of my favorite eateries for a while. Unfortunately, the one in Towson closed several months ago. It had been a routine of mine to go and catch a movie at the Cinemark theater and proceed directly across the street to B.J.'s. I happened to be in Laurel today, and that gave me the opportunity to visit again. Their Jambalaya is the best around and did not disappoint today. My server, Marcus, was attentive, courteous, and not overbearing, which is the fault of some servers. Great experience. read more

Loved the atmosphere and our server, I think her name was Monica, was fantastic! The new specialty drink, triple patron guava Rita, was super yummy!!! I definitely would love that drink again. As for the food, it was pretty good, just a bit too much salt for our taste. My chicken was tender, and the sauce was tasty, just too much salt. Wings were crispy, cooked well, and salty. Ribs were also cooked well. The meat easily came off bone, tasty but salty. But that strawberry shortcake pizookie was on point! So delicious I didn't touch my chicken at the restaurant because I was brought the wrong dish and they arrived at the table together. So the dessert became my meal. And I'm not mad about it, especially since the chicken was a bit too salty. I can't say if we'll go back here or not. read more

We frequent BJ's and is one of our favorite places to go eat as they have a little bit of everything on the menu. This trip was not all that great. In the door at 5:30 pm we we were surprised to find them not bery busy. Once seated our table was so sticky that we couldn't put our arms on it. We had issues scanning the code on the table with our phones to retrieve the menu so we asked for a paper menu and were told that they only had one. Our server was ok with zero personality but he was proficient in his job. My wife ordered a Sangria, I asked for a Orange Crush that was not on the menu but was told that they can still make it for me. After 10 minutes our server came and told me that they in fact can not make an Orange Crush so I ordered a Watermelon Mojito off the menu, a few minutes later our server came back to tell me that they didn't have the ingredients for that cocktail so I opted for a Sangria which was ok. For dinner we ordered The Avacado Rolls which had Avacado & cream cheese then fried and they were superb ! I'd order them again for sure. For my entre i ordered the Shrimp Scampi which was good and had 6 nice size shrimp cooked very well but it lacked seasoning, it needed garlic and other seasonings but I'd order again asking for garlic. I had two bites of my meal and got up to use the restroom telling my server that I would be back,, do not touch my food and when I returned to my table my meal had been taken away. They did replace my meal to go but they gave me a child size entre. Bottom line- Every place has a bad night, ill sill come back again. read more

Had a reservation and was seated upon arrival. The food was okay at best. I had the fish (fried mahi) and shrimp tacos. I would suggest the fried mahi over the shrimp taco. I also had the sriracha brussel sprouts that were more burnt than anything so I drowned them in the sauce they came with and tada - they were edible. I sampled the pizookie trio, the strawberry and sugar cookie pizookie was heavenly! Tip: double check your silverware, it took three sets for me to get clean utensils... This BJ's is located at the Laurel town center with ample parking. We stopped by on a weekday to quickly celebrate an achievement, made a reservation some hours before stopping by and there was also some walk-in openings. There are lots of good and drink options, and I had the margarita flight which was pretty good and not so steep on price (I think it was $14). The wings were also nice as well as the chicken potstickers. I've had the pizookie on another visit but was too stuffed to get them this time. Our service was a little on the slow side but the waiter was very nice and attentive. This is a nice place for a lunch or dinner with friends, family, or even solo. read more

Nicols, my bartender'a personality is perfect for that of a bartender. She is energetic and friendly! I enjoyed my drink, which was at her recommendation, BTW! And my salad?? Oh, man. On 5 Feb, 2023 I had dinner at BJ's. I ordered the New Orleans Jambalaya. This dish was spicy and delicious. I planned to take half home, but before I knew it I only had three bites left. The food was great, the ambiance is always energetic. My waiter's name was Sydney. She was attentive and provided good service. This jambalaya is some of the best I've had in the DMV! My friends and I were hanging out in Laurel and decided to visit BJs. We attempted to celebrate Cinco De Mayo at a nearby restaurant but decided against it due to the large crowd. When we arrived at BJs, they told us the wait was 45 min. No big deal, it's Cinco. Fast forward to 45 min later and we still have not received a text to be seated. While scanning the restaurant, we notice it's not busy however patrons were not leaving. We count the staff and realize that there is one bartender, 3 servers, a hostess, and the manager. When we inquired on our wait, we were told we had only been waiting 30 min. We clearly knew better since we can verify the time from the text message patrons receive when we get on the waitlist. I digress. We finally get seated after roughly 55 minutes. The server was surprisingly very nice and attentive. We ordered everything at once so we didn't have to wait for the back and forth. We order wings, avocado egg rolls, two burgers, and the chicken Mediterranean tacos. For drinks we get two long islands and an old fashioned. When I drinks arrive, the Long Islands were fine. However, my old fashioned was straight water. It was disgusting. I could tell by the lightness of the drink it would be bad but not that bad. I was flabbergasted that the bartender would even serve it. I sent it back and got a Long Island as well. Epic Fail for drinks. When the food arrived, it was all good. They were all made to order and the perfect temperature. After that, our waitress sort of disappeared. We kept looking around and couldn't find her. The hostess saw my look of confusion (oh and the next table's confusion as they were ready to leave as well) and went to find her so we could check out. It was probably a nice 15 min wait before she arrived. Overall, it was a decent experience only because of the food. Would I come back? Maybe but definitely no time soon. read more

First off, it was ridiculously cold in the restaurant with an air current that felt like the air conditioning was on. We had to move tables to get out of the draft. In the process, we noticed other patrons with coats and hats on. Finally, after we complained, they turned on the heat. I don't know what the manager was thinking last night. (So, I'm pretty sure the AC was on.) Alright, let's assume the temperature is not a chronic problem. What about the food? There are a bunch of options and substitutions are aplenty. So, I got the bistro burger with a side of chili. We also got the couscous Mac & cheese balls. From best to least best, it was chili, burger, mac & cheese. None of it was spectacular, though. The chili wasn't full of beans and it was reasonably thick. It came with sour cream, onions, and a salsa. I had them all on the side so I could taste the chili without the other stuff. I wouldn't go to BJ's for chili, but I'd get it again. It would probably be good on fries. The burger had a large footprint and looked impressive, but that's because they flattened it out. What makes that bad is that each bite was more toppings than it was burger. As for me, I order burgers for the burger taste and everything else is supposed to enhance or complement it. The mac & cheese balls were nicely fried. The dipping cheese sauce didn't have enough kick. Actually, all around, it was surprisingly bland given the ingredients listed in the menu. I think the cheese inside the ball overpowered everything else. It had such potential! All in all, if others wanted to go, I'd suggest somewhere else but I wouldn't refuse to go.
