I'm super behind on reviews. It feels like I've been on the go since January! But no complaints... I love my life and this is my season of "go" but let's get these reviews GO-ing! Blue Sunday is literally far and in Laurel, MD. I am starting to realize driving to the boondocks is not ideal just to eat somewhere new. Blue Sunday is beautiful and the owner knows what they are doing but would I drive all the way to Laurel just for Blue Sunday, no! Ambiance is great! Service is great but the location is too far away from home. Happy Hour is a HIT! If I lived closer I'd definitely come! Let's get into it! It's been so long I don't remember all the dishes! But sushi is their thing and I highly recommend! The ONLY thing I remember is the Rock Shrimp being extremely good! Drinks were amazing!

Add blue Sunday to your late night spot list. It offers great food and a beautiful ambiance. The menu is mostly Asian cuisine with specialty sushi rolls. The staff are really nice and the food comes out with beautiful presentation. I would definitely come back to try more of their sushi rolls. I enjoyed the classic spicy tuna roll and the speciality empire roll. The empire was delicious, featured shrimp tempura, crab meat, mango, avocado and eel sauce. It was the perfect blend of crunchy savory and sweet. There is plenty of parking. I recommend this place if you are celebrating something special. They are reasonably priced.

The Blue Sunday Potion and Peach Fizz were strong and tasty . The Short Ribs No words 10/10 They were so good we ordered more to go! We also tried the Mexican-style Corn dip 7.5/10, the cheesesteak egg rolls 9/10 , General Tso's chicken 8/10 and fried rice 8/10 .Safe to say we left happy. Our server IYANNA was very niceeee and made the experience even better . This location is pretty . They have different locations . I've been to the Bowie and Laurel location . They offer happy hour until 7pm which is nice . Great ambiance .

I've been waiting for a reason to come to Blue Sunday after being recommended by Andrew, but now that I have I'm mad it took me so long to do so. I ADORED my time here. It's dark, chic, and beautifully decorated in black and gold with pops of green from cacti around the restaurant. We went during happy hour and chose the Rock shrimp (the dipping sauce was so good we dipped our salad plating into it), crab bruschetta, and cheesesteak egg rolls (best I've ever had). For drinks, we had the Blue sunday potion, the lime lagoon, and the $6 watermelon long island. They were refreshing and tasty (line lagoon was my favorite), but be warned, they almost had us on the floor, lol. For entrees, we had the seafood pasta and the sunset spaghetti. My partner loved the seafood pasta, and the sunset spaghetti was so, so good. It was a pink sauce with tender beef and chicken that practically melted. I Definitely recommend anything mentioned above, and we will 100% be back (with a DD ;) ).

I always love coming here. The food is great, Q was a great bartender and the playlist was lit!

First time trying this location. There was a slight wait before our server came to the table, but once we were attended to, the food came out pretty quickly. It was very packed on a Friday evening for Happy Hour, which was expected. The sushi wasn't the best, but the wings, catfish, fried rice, and egg rolls were all pretty good. The drinks weren't very strong, but still enjoyable. Overall, I'd rate this experience a 7/10. I personally prefer the Bowie, MD location, but this spot was still decent.

This spot is popping. Seems more family oriented than the Bowie location and definitely brighter. You may have a little bit of a wait but it's worth it. The food is good and the drinks are too however I should've stuck with my norm which is a margarita. This time I ordered the their specialty drink, can't remember the name but I uploaded the picture. I don't know what brand of alcohol they used in that drink but it hurt my stomach a few sips in. It made me feel like I had food poison and I wish I did t order it. I ordered the General tso's which was so tasty and had the crisp that I like. I had the honey old bay wings as well, they were good but for some reason I like them better at the Bowie location. I really like this place so I only knocked off one star because I haven't had a drink in a long time that tore my stomach up immediately-which leads me to believe that the cheapest of the cheap liquor was used. I feel like a place of this stature shouldn't have any type of crappy alcohol at their bar period. Nonetheless I will return but I will never order the drink pictured again.

The place is bigger than it looks from the outside a great place for large parties or date night. The server (Devin) was really good he had a good attitude and was honest about the menu items which I liked. He also offered some hitters from the bar. The playlist was on point overall good vibes. Since it was our first time and we weren't all that hungry, we just tried a couple of appetizers and the dessert. The cheesesteak egg rolls and the stuff shrimp were really good. The sushi was fresh and tasty. Both desserts the Brownie and Lemon cake were good but that Lemon cake was top tier. I do recommend!

Who knew that there was another Blue Sunday Bar&Grill? Well, there is and it's in Laurel!! This one puts the one in Bowie to shame and that's an understatement! Once you walk in you know the owners spared no expense to make you say WOW! Ultra contemporary design from the lighting to the semicircul booth seating next to the oversized bar. You can literally imagine this place being on the top floor of a Vegas resort! The food is just as good as the Bowie location and Happy Hour is 7 days a week. If you come on Sunday, Happy Hour is all day..#Dope! We enjoyed the Rock Shrimp, Crab Brushetta, Volcano Roll and the Shrimp Tempora Roll. All were excellent and the drinks were good and STRONG. Our Bartender/Server was great and the place ran like a well oiled machine. Good thing Laurel is a HUMP away from Brandywine or I'd be here at least 4x a week.. Fr Fr!!

So, I was introduced to Blue Sunday Bar & Grill one Saturday evening. Upon entry, I quickly took the opportunity to adore the aesthetic of this place. To me, it was giving a chic, vibrant, yet modern aesthetic. When we arrived, it was a fairly busy/packed evening, however, we were seated within 15 or so minutes. Within a couple of minutes of being seated, our waiter introduced himself and gave us some honest insight on some of the dishes we had interest in, which was greatly appreciated. For our appetizers, we first had the fried catfish, which was fried/breaded perfectly. However, the catfish was lacking the oomph I needed via a little more seasoning. We also had the Louisiana Gumbo, which was flavored very well. For this dish, I really did appreciate the waiter's disclaimer that the gumbo is really good, however, it's not exactly like an actual gumbo made in Louisiana. On to the entrees. Unfortunately, the entrees took a very long time to come out, which was definitely a test of maintaining my composure under hunger. So, by the time our food came out, there was added build up to try/immediately devour our dishes. For my main dish, I ordered the ribeye steak (which was cooked at a medium) with some asparagus. Similar to the fried catfish, I felt that the ribeye also needed more seasoning, however, the sauce that came with this dish added a unique flavor that made the ribeye enjoyable. The asparagus on the other hand were made to my liking. My friend had the General Tso chicken with fried rice which was simply okay. Overall, I had an average experience here.

It's somewhat of a new place It's not on my area Per friend's suggestion off we went for a quick bite It's a very nicely decorated and designed. Clean and trendy, this is a fusion restaurant but i wasn't sure what's the fusion of. May be American and something mysterious. Not sure. Anyhow. Yes start with service It was slow and hardly attentive. Everyone was real nice though. And accommodating. So. Seafood gumbo was ok good. I loved the shrimp and delicious seasoning Fresh no doubt. Salmon salad was really good. Salmon cut wasn't my favorite they can def do better. Chicken salad my friend said was good Fresh and big portion. It's a really nice place. Clean and friendly . Fresh ingredients and cuts. But may be the prep wasn't my style. If you in the area. Give it a go

Happy to have Blue Sunday in another location. The interior is nicely decorated and it's spacious. On the bar and lounge side, the sections are first come first served. The manager may come by to ask if you mind sharing, there is ample seating for a small party of maximum 8 to be comfortably seated. The bar could use more TVs and possibly larger screens. For drinks I had the Love Smuggler and Hennessy Peach. My friend tried two cocktails as well. I had the Black Dragon and Spicy Salmon roll. They were tasty. My friend was unsure about what to order and we were given the heads up that the crab cake wasn't a customer favorite. My friend ordered the seafood platter and tried it anyway and it wasn't good. As true Maryland crab cake eaters, you've been warned, don't do it. The texture and taste was just off, I'm not sure what type of batter and filler they use but it's a no. Maybe with time they will improve the recipe but I won't be trying it again. Overall we enjoyed our visit. There's plenty of parking. We were here on a Saturday and I feel like they were still working out some of their operations and communication. I've been to the other location and I'd say that the service and food quality are the same. It's a decent place to grab food and drinks.

Went to blue Sunday on Sunday. They have all day happy hour on Sunday. I feel the price points for some of the options are high though or normal pricing. This place is super cute and definitely a vibe. I do recommend. The food is decent. I had wings, fries and cheese steak egg rolls. The were all decent. My sisters had sushi, wings. Fries, crab dip and drinks. I tasted their food. I was not a big fan of the sushi or crab dip. The service was decent. I don't have anything bad to say. They took good care of us. Made sure we could sit on the couches instead of at the bar. I would Definitely go back!

The decor accents are upscale and the dining room was SO crowded on a Sunday night - I didn't see one empty seat in the house! Booking a reservation is a must. They had live music and every member of the wait staff seemed polite, professional, and well put together. The restaurant does get fairly loud with all of the guests though. I tried the sorrel and it was spot on, very gingery and a touch on the sweet side. My family members and I also tried the Rasta pasta, the oxtail lasagna and the Ital Pot entrees. The entrees are a bit on the pricier side, but for most things, the portions are good. I'm a Caribbean who does not enjoy spicy food so I opted for the mild Rasta pasta but I think I could have upped it to the medium spice level - the mild was very creamy and cheesy, but lacked a bit of that signature jerk flavor. The oxtail lasagna was very cheesy and rich with a good amount of oxtail in between the layers, but I wish that the Jamaican flavors were more pronounced in this as well. I didn't try the Ital Pot personally, but the salmon that it came with was cooked to perfection.

I was able to get a sitter for my 3 littles, so I went on a triple date to try out Catherine's. My cousin and his girlfriend showed up shortly after and someone came to pour water. They let you know as soon as you're seated that there is a 90 minute time limit for the table and it starts as soon as the waitress arrives. We ordered lemon pepper wings, codfish fritters and jerk chicken bruschetta for appetizers. The wings were delicious and hot out of the oven. The fritters were good, but thin, and didn't have much saltfish in it. The bruschetta was nothing to write home about. For entrees we got jerk salmon, jerk chicken, oxtail lasagna, lambchops and 2 orders of braised short ribs. 2 people received their food at least 10 minutes before everyone else. If you're going to impose a time limit, your kitchen and wait staff need to be on point, or the timer shouldn't start until after everyone receives their food. The jerk salmon was very well cooked, but hardly seasoned. The oxtail lasagna was like regular lasagna, but instead of ground beef, they used oxtail and it had bechamel sauce instead of marinara. It was also very cheesy. It wasn't bad, but at $36 I would have expected more. The lambchops were out of this world. Very well seasoned and the gravy was finger licking good, but you only get 3 per order. My cousin didn't let me try his jerk chicken, but he said it wasn't bad. To note, a lot of reviews said the rice and peas weren't good, but we must've came on a good rice day because our rice was good. For dessert we got bread pudding, rass prince, tiramisu and flour-less chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was too thick and the texture of the mousse in the rass prince wasn't that great. The tiramisu and bread pudding were good though. This was the first time I've been to a restaurant where the waitress didn't come back to check on us mid meal. No one could order a second drink and we had to ask a random person passing about getting our water refilled. The manager came by before dessert to ask how was dinner and we had to ask him for water (since it still wasn't filled) and for a dessert menu. At their price point, I would expect better service, but since 18% gratuity (and 20% for parties bigger than 6) is automatically added there isn't any incentive for the wait staff to do better.

The lounge is on the smaller side, which actually worked well for the event and gave it an intimate vibe. The owner was also very nice and welcoming, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The menu is extremely limited, and you pretty much have to piece together a meal from a few items. I ordered the jollof rice and six-piece chicken wings. The wings were overpriced, overcooked, and had no flavor at all. The only options were sauces on the side (honey, ranch, or blue cheese), and when I specifically asked for honey drizzled on top with blue cheese on the side, that request wasn't followed. Even more frustrating, our server never came back to check on us or make sure everything was okay. The jollof rice was honestly the worst part. Instead of that rich, smoky flavor you'd expect, it tasted burnt with a harsh charcoal aftertaste. I've had jollof rice many times before, and this was nowhere close. I ended up sending it back. Because I was hungry, I forced myself to eat the wings, even though they were dry and lacked flavor. Overall, Myste Lounge has a nice look and potential, but the food and service really need improvement. A revamped menu and better attention to guests would make a huge difference.

Because of my video that I share at instagram I am glad Oversea Distillery and Bar only 10 minutes away from my house! BAIJIU: (pronounced bye-jyo) is a traditional, clear Chinese distilled spirit. Literally translating to "white liquor," it is typically distilled from fermented grains like sorghum, rice, or wheat and ranges from 35% to 60% ABV. As the world's most consumed spirit, it boasts a history spanning millennia How It's MadeUnlike most Western spirits, baijiu relies on qu, a unique starter culture of crushed grains packed with active molds and yeasts. This culture simultaneously converts grain starches into sugars and ferments those sugars into alcohol--a process called solid-state fermentation. The mash is then traditionally distilled in clay or stone pots. Just like wine or whiskey, baijiu isn't a single flavor. It is categorized into four primary styles, though many sub-varieties exist: Strong Aroma: Sweet and pungent with fruity and spicy notes (e.g., Wuliangye). Sauce Aroma: Complex and savory, often likened to soy sauce, fermented vegetables, or dark chocolate (e.g., Kweichow Moutai). Light Aroma: Crisp, clean, and floral, similar to sake or high-end vodka. Rice Aroma: Mild, slightly sweet, and floral, closely resembling other Asian grain spirits like shochu.

When arrived, my friends last name was on a table tent, on the table. $15 unlimited mimosas for 2 hours!! OJ, cranberry and pineapple. Cranberry was my fav. For refills, they bring you a glass of mimosas to the table. You have to literally almost finish your glass before a refill can come out. We both had the Denver Omelete $16. That was good, maybe not as filling. The restaurant didn't have any salsa! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa The home potatoes were good. St. Patty's day brunch special. We also had an Irish Car Bomb lol Horse racing also was free to watch! Started at 12pm, there was about 11 or 12 races. A good deal of horse bets were going on too Edwin was an awesome waiter! Bathrooms are big, clean and spacious This entire race track building is HUGE! You could spend an entire morning in there, getting lost and seeing some pretty cool things Free parking outfront This was a cool & different way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Good food, good people, horse racing!

He introduced himself and gave us his info for future reservations. Karla was our server and she was a joy and a pleasure. We had an amazing view of the track, the post parade, and the finish line. We ordered the meat lovers flat bread and crab cake and shrimp sandwiches. The flatbread was tasty, the crab cake sandwiches had large chunks of crabmeat, and the shrimp added even more delicious flavor. Karla checked on us regularly to ensure we never sat with empty glasses. We will definitely be back for Sunday brunch!

A TIME WAS HAD!…read more Love, love, LOVE Skyvibe. My girls and I wanted to check out a new happy hour spot, and we decided on Skyvibe. The first floor was a little small, but cute with a black interior, photo op area, clean bathrooms, and an upstairs we didn't get to check out. We mixed between the main menu and the $5 after 5 list and got the meat pie, chicken skewers, spring rolls, beef bites and yam with fish stew dip. Every single dish was fantastic either crispy or tender respectively, savory, and seasoned to perfection! Highly recommend the chicken skewers and carrot cake (carrot cake not pictured as it was devoured on the spot). The only con of the night was waiting a long time for our food, but the servers themselves were amazing (shoutout to KB, our awesome waiter and mixologist), the food was worth the wait, and they definitely kept us entertained in the interim with karaoke night on a Tuesday. Melissa and the Dj warmed up the crown with banger after banger, and before long everyone joined in. It was an absolute blast to be a part of and we will definitely return! If you're looking for a weekday pick-me-up, this is the place to be!!

The ticket included bottomless lemon drops during the painting session, which made the experience even more fun and interactive. The atmosphere was upbeat, the music kept the energy going, and everyone was having a great time. Even though food is purchased separately, don't skip it because it was honestly one of the highlights of my visit. My favorites were the beef meat pies, salmon bites, lamb chops, and the fufu with egusi. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. I also appreciated that SkyVibe offers more than just Sip & Paint. They have karaoke nights, happy hour specials, and other events throughout the week, making it a place you can come back to for different experiences. If you're looking for good food, great vibes, and something fun to do in the DMV, I'd definitely recommend giving SkyVibe a try. I'll definitely be back!

Street parking is free, though it's important to check the posted restrictions, and there is also a small public lot just a short walk away. Our group of 11 had a smooth and pleasant evening. Our server was relatively new but handled the large party with confidence, including separate checks, which we appreciated. She was still learning the menu, but she offered honest recommendations based on dishes she had tried herself. The food was well received across the table. The kitchen gladly accommodated two guests with dietary restrictions, and that flexibility was greatly appreciated. I ordered the Lamb Shawarma, which had tender meat and a wonderful blend of Mediterranean spices. The empty plates around the table said it all. Dessert was the highlight of the meal. The chocolate mousse cake and the layered almond-lemon cake were both rich, flavorful, and a perfect finish. With generous hospitality, accommodating service, reasonable prices, and a menu I'd like to explore further, Olive on Main is definitely a place I'd return to.

There was like a tangy sauce on the tuna which took away from the flavor of the fish and for $22 I was expecting something a bit more. They usually have reservations and larger parties, but it's a pretty open/communal space, so there aren't typically issues with seating. All in all, a great spot for many occasions.

I am not much of a beer drinker so was happy to see they had some cocktail options. I ordered the Blackberry mule. It was just the right amount of sweetness in my opinion. My friend got a flight- their favorite was the Udder Chocolate with Boats and Hose as the runner up. I wasn't originally planning to get food but could not help myself when I saw they had a Chicago style hotdog. It was tasty despite being a bit of a mess to eat with the topping piled high. It comes with a side of kettle cooked chips that somehow managed to be just as good, maybe even better than the hot dog. The bartenders were pleasant and efficient with checking in on us and clearing plates as needed.
