The pancakes were pretty run-of-the-mill, nothing fancy, but still enjoyable and definitely hit the spot. I was in a ham mood that day, and it was satisfying and exactly what I was hoping for. The scrambled eggs with cheese were fantastic. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our waitress was extremely warm and welcoming, which made the whole meal feel pleasant. Beyond the restaurant itself, the rest of the Amish Market is superb, with plenty to explore and enjoy. This was my first visit to this restaurant inside the Dutch Market on a Thursday afternoon for a late lunch. It was not crowded. The dining room looks old and needs to be remodeled. There is a wide variety of food on the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I had the tuna fish salad sandwich for $10.99 which was large. The bread tasted freshly baked. The other entree was the Philly cheesesteak with fries. For $14.99, the sandwich was large, but only a small amount of fries was provided. Located inside the Dutch market in Laurel, is a little diner. Since there's a lot of people coming in and out of the indoor market it is kinda loud. Our server was quick and took our order. We didn't have to wait long for the food. Food was really good! No frills nothing fancy, just fresh delicious diner fare. The coffee and seasonal chai were just delicious! I've eaten takeout from this restaurant once before however on this occasion I dined in. I wanted to confirm my impression from the previous visit. The wait service was excellent however the food was less than. Unfortunately the cheese omelette, scrambled eggs, home fries and french toast all lacked essential flavor. In fact, I'd go as far to say none of them were seasoned at all. The only thing that saved the food was the cheese on the eggs which provided its own flavor and the syrup which obviously added a sweetness to the French toast. The meal didn't lack freshness; it's just the essential seasoning wasn't there. It was very disappointing because the customer service from Lin was great. I love this "farm to table" restaurant here at the Dutch Country Farmer's Market! Everything is homemade and freshly prepared here. Today I'm having French Toast made with their homemade bread with two eggs and sausage, pork sausage not turkey. Last time I visited I had their waffles. It's worth a stop here if you're hungry for food other than the normal fast food joints. Only think is, be prepared to wait in a line - that moves fast - especially if you come on the weekends .. but you won't be sorry because it's that good. read more

This was my first time here ... I wasn't too impressed . I ordered the 2 pancakes , 2 eggs with bacon . My food was just okay . The pancakes were extremely fluffy which made it difficult to enjoy . However the bacon was good . My friend ordered a ham n cheese omelet with home fries . To him, the eggs were cold and not scrambled hard , like requested . The food was just ok. My Saturday routine includes breakfast at Lantz before I head to class. I am currently on a search to find the best French toast in the DMV area. This place is currently holding the crown. Lantz is located in the Dutch Country (Amish) Market. The wait staff is amazing. They are always so friendly whether I eat in or takeout. Breakfast and lunch are available all day which is a plus for me and others who like to sleep in but still want breakfast. School is out for the summer and I refuse to take another Saturday class but this will remain part of my weekly routine! read more

This place was great! What a cool hidden find. Thanks Yelp! Tucked in a strip mall next to a vape shop, Lantz and their Dutch market was a perfect choice for lunch and fresh donuts (lunch dessert). Good homecooking for cheap. Our group of 4 adults and 2 kids ate for $40 (including tip). The market had a ton of options: breads, meats, pretzels, cheese. We have been trying to get into this local favorite but every time we try the line is out the door. This is the restaurant Inside the amazing Dutch Market. Well last night was our lucky night! Got there early around 4:30 to beat the crowd. First impression was not a good one, carpet that is heavily soiled and stained. We were seated right away for our group of 6. The rest of the restaurant seemed clean and the menu was crazy long! They offer everything you would expect from an Amish Restaurant. Most in my group opted for a hamburger ... I went for the Pot Roast. All was delicious . The buns on the burgers were homemade. Sorry, they ate so fast that I didn't get a picture of one. I did snap one of my Pot Roast. It was more like Roast Beef, served over stuffing with Mashed Potatoes and Mac & Cheese. I would recommend this place and I would try the Fried Chicken next time. read more

..how do you F-up potatoes and eggs?? Just bland, boring. Zero salt,pepper, paprika NOTHING. Eggs aren't scrambled. They lay out a thin layer on the grill then fold it. I asked for eggs scrambled soft. I received a hard folded envelope. THATS NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR!! The scrapple came in 2 med fried clumps and several smaller peices. The home fries were just bad. Toast even tasted stale. The service was abysmal. No " ill be right with you. No smiles. No please, thank you,my pleasure. NOTHING. To be so religious yet ill mannered is amazing to me. Closely observing the interactions around us gave me pause. So to Google i went. Seems the Amish aren't fond of people that dont look like them. Just a bad experience all around. Although the restaurant is only open for limited days and hours when the Dutch Country Market is also open, the breakfast entrees alone are worth waiting in line for. The omelets and French Toast match any that I have ever tasted, and the prices could not be more reasonable for entrees made from fresh-Farm-raised ingredients only. Parking fills up quickly for the market and restaurant, but the food at the restaurant is worth any wait. read more

Omg so I am sucker for traditional comfort food! I died when I came here, literally I could eat everything off this menu! I ordered the pot roast over stuffing with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. It was soo good, the pot roast especially it had a good fat to meat ratio and it was nicely seasoned. Not satisfied at all. Also waitress was very slow to refill drinks and it was not busy at all . Onion rings were good however. Definitely will not be coming back. Not cheap either. I frequent the Amish market but had never ordered from Lantz's before and I regret it!! I had a simple double cheeseburger and fries but wow it was great! Fresh pressed meat (as the menu states) cooked perfectly. Fries are my favorite kind skin on and fried soft. What a pleasant surprise this was! First, we walked in the door to an Amish market with all the foods we love and the most wonderful looking produce. Then, we found the restaurant tucked in the front corner on the opposite side from where we entered. I ordered the lunch special of the day: pot roast sandwich and fries. The sandwich was tender, juicy, and delicious. The fries are home cut potatoes. My husband had a cheesesteak sandwich that he said was very good as well. My girlfriend and I came in on a Saturday morning (when the market is typically packed with customers) but were fortunate enough to have missed the crowd, and were seated in under five minutes. I started with a coffee and my girlfriend had a hot chocolate, more or less standard breakfast beverages. Our server was a friendly Amish woman who seemed to be well-known among the older patrons who frequented the restaurant regularly. I ordered the bacon and swiss omelet with wheat toast while my girlfriend had the scrambled eggs with white toast and bacon. Our meals were fantastic! My omelet was cooked well and the bacon was crisp inside, while the Swiss cheese kept the foundation of the omelet together. The toast was lightly buttered and warmed, and while it was a subtle detail it made my meal that much more enjoyable.
