We decided to try a local chain restaurant for drinks and apps! Overall okay experience. Service was very friendly and polite. The food we ordered was just okay - I would say standard for a chain restaurant. We ordered multiple drinks - the Intracostal Dragon Point IPA is a popular local beer that never fails anywhere you go! We also ordered the BJ's Award Winning Beer Flight which was fantastic. Had a great choice of flavorful beers made by BJ's! The [Mozzarella Sticks] at BJ's are very good, they serve a generous portion featuring Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top with a side of marinara. The [Loaded Nachos] were just okay (as I'm a huge nacho fan). You are served a HUGE portion of nachos. They were very "dry" in the sense of they could have afforded more cheese, whether it be melted or shredded. We chose to add chicken to our nachos which was very good! Just wish it was more "loaded" as the name describes. More on the minimalistic side. [Avocado Egg rolls] are something I was looking forward to, but I do have to say they are not served how they are presented on the menu. On the menu the egg rolls have nice huge chunks of avocado and the egg roll size itself seems to have looked smaller. What was served seemed to be guacamole in an egg roll which was slightly disappointing. Taking a bite - I would describe it as a very mushy experience. Also with as filling as these are, I could not imagine eating these even with a couple friends and making it far into dinner after. Exceedingly average meal that was overpriced for lunch. I had French Dip that was supposedly prime rib, the meat was dry and overcooked but since it was served with a generous portion of au jus I didn't send it back. The fries were substandard, had that coating on them that is supposed to add flavor but just tastes fake. The coleslaw was mostly chopped cabbage but it was barely chopped, the pieces were too big and it wasn't flavorful. The apps were good, brussels sprouts were especially tasty. I also liked that he was so good with my 9-year old granddaughter, giving her some extra attention. Well been wanting to try this place out as I pass by it all the time on 192. Well family was in town so we went Wednesday, me and my step dad ordered burgers my mother ordered something else requesting no peppercinis. We skipped the apps no real reason honestly. I ordered a Mountain Dew float it's why this isn't a 1 star. The food arrived not a bad wait time. But it wasn't worth the wait, not only did they mess my mothers meal up. I couldn't finish mine. I never leave food behind but after several dried onion peel on my burger that where deep fried and don't know the sadness till bite into onion that taste like paper. I soldiered on to eat what I could. After all this my dinner I and don't want to waste it. My mother meal was comped so they weren't rude or anything. Just a sad experience overall. No desert, we hit the road they headed back to Daytona and me locally. Possible 2nd chance maybe who knows, certainly hate how laziness effect the peeling of an onion. Stopped by BJ's after an appointment today. Always a treat to come here for their delicious deep dish pizza. Deep crusty but soft crust (how do they do that?) with crisp yummy pepperoni and andouille sausage for toppings. We look forward to their "Italian chunky, spiced tomatoes on it as well but they weren't on today's pizza. Hope they didn't discontinue them. That's one of the reasons we live BJ's. We absolutely love their "blue cheese wedge salad" with fresh topping - tomatoes, bacon pieces and onion. Delicious! The food was good, I had the Brussels sprouts small plate, a burger with fries, and a strawberry shortcake pizzookie! Four of us went for dinner. All was good except my husband's filet mignon. Unfortunately we don't care for medium cooked beef. So my husband ordered the filet medium well. When it came out it was butterflied & charred to a crisp. Our very accommodating server explained that if you order anything more than medium, they will butterfly your filet. The sauce was nice and sweet and tasted delicious. My sides were a caesar salad and cheddar mashed potatoes. Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I am notba fan of their beer so ordered a cocktail and it was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. I wanted to sample a few apps so I ordered the calamari, root beer ribs, and a wedge salad. The food took forever!!! The calamari was very good but the mayo base dipping sauce was a total fail. The root beer ribs were off the hook delicious and I really should have made a double order. The wedge salad was good but could have used just a drizzle of balsamic. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My bison burger was barely warm. My mother's fish and chips were bland, and the fries were cold/soggy. My father's top sirloin steak was a small meal. And my brother's barbacoa cauliflower tacos were rang in as a barbacoa chicken. Our avocado egg roll appetizer was the only thing worth eating. $90 Otherwise, the setting and service were fine. Clean, prompt, attentive. I've been to plenty of other BJ's Brewhouse locations before, so I know they can make good food. This is the only location that I've had a bad experience with the food. Only been to this restaurant twice. Once in South Florida and again recently near the Orlando area. The store is a stand-alone with plenty of parking. The menu is a lot to go through. There are way too many options. We tried the Brussel spout appetizer, we loved it. I ordered the tuna salad, it had drops of wasabi around the plate. I thought it was avocado and it was a terrible realization that it wasn't. I didn't love the dressing of the salad. I wish I had asked for it on the side. If you order this salad, have the dressing on the side, and it will be much better. My boyfriend really enjoyed his meal. It was probably a burger, I don't remember, I tried it and remember REALLY liking it. The last time I went to this restaurant, I remember really liking the salad. Wow. Went for lunch with my son and since it was slow we expected great service. Well our waiter Jeff did just that! He was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure we understood the menu and what we were ordering. He also ensured the chef was aware of a serious food allergy and they made our dishes to order! The food came out quickly and WOW it was so good! My son said his Italian dish tasted like the finest Italian restaurant. My Mediterranean tacos with roasted garlic vegetables on the side were mouth watering! I am truly impressed! The restaurant itself is very open and could easily accommodate any person with a disability. Plenty of parking, wide isles between tables and fully accessible . If you want a beer THIS is the place to come. They have a daily wall of them and happy hour specials including half off appetizers. She had actual recommendations instead of just saying everything is good. I went on a Thursday for lunch which they have a good special for tri tip with 2 sides and a pizaookie for $13.95 I opted to get the derby cobb salad then added the tri tip instead of chicken ($2 upcharge). The salad was fresh, very flavorful, and had lots of toppings. The tri tip was actually very tender and cooked a perfect medium rare which I was not expecting. The pazookie I got half cookies and cream and half chocolate chip. I figured I would eat a few bites and get my fix. I ate the entire thing. By myself. It was perfect. First time eating at a BJ's restaurant for me. We had the garlic knot bruschetta appetizer which was excellent, lentil soup (very tasty) bbq chicken salad and beef sliders. Very limited vegan options and very inflexible with pricing re hold chicken, cheese, proteins etc. The sliders were very good as was the salad. The facility was dark and freezing cold which made it difficult to enjoy or meal and between the coldness in the restaurant and the salad, it was difficult at best. This may be a restaurant choice to make during the full heat of summer. At this point I'm needing socks and gloves to recover from this arctic experience. read more
