Reserved a table for Sunday brunch at 11:30 a.m. and we were seated right on time. I'm really glad we made a reservation because the restaurant filled up fast. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was great for a relaxing Sunday brunch with friends. I tried one of their specialty drinks (can't remember the name!), and it was really good. I'd rate my meal a 7/10, while my friends really enjoyed theirs. One of my friend's dishes came with an ingredient she had asked to leave off, but she was able to remove it herself without much issue. Our server was great and deserves credit for being attentive and professional. Unfortunately, the condition of the restaurant was so disgusting that we left before our food even arrived. At table 621, we encountered three ants and had flies hovering around us while we waited. The floor beside our booth was filthy, covered in grime, debris, and a discarded cloth napkin. When we looked around, it became obvious this was not limited to our table. Other tables and surrounding areas were in the same condition, with visible trash and debris throughout the dining room. To make matters worse, we could hear servers talking at the station directly behind us about how badly the kitchen "sucks" and saying the food was "gross." Hearing employees speak that way about their own kitchen, on top of the ants, flies, and filthy dining room, was the final straw. We were so grossed out that we just up and left without eating. If this is the condition of the dining room customers can see, it raises serious concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen and other areas customers cannot see. As someone who owns and operates a business and comes from the culinary industry, this is unacceptable. Again, our server was not the problem. This appears to be a serious cleanliness and management failure. BJ's needs to address it immediately. BJs, you need to do better. It's the very best looking dining room in town. That being said, it's a little worn around the edges and showing some age. Service was slow especially with a few special requests. Entrès took almost an hour. It didn't get much better after they arrived, special request went unexecuted but the odd thing was that the staple Thursday night menu item was terrible. I ordered the tri tip, it was cooked as requested but why. I was surprised that a temperature for the trip tip. It also came as a chunk of meat. Seasoning was off but the texture was like a ball of string. By far the toughest piece of meat served to me in the almost and so close to 62 years, but I just kept hacking away at it with a 45 cent steak knife. Tiny piece by piece it had to go. Now I know Skip The Tri Tip At Any Cost. Trust me. I'm still baffled as to how it even got out of the kitchen. This shopping center seems like the main hub for Menifee residents Our server was great, Brandon really did an exceptional job! BJs food is what draws crowds here! The menu is wonderful and classic. Just noticed at this location, it seems it does not match up to its standards. We waited for 30 mins and excited to have a late dinner. We got seated and the seat was wet and cringy. I sat across the table and asked the server if he can kindly wipe it. Our orders were taken, and the appetizers came. No plates were given. I think the server expected us to eat off the serving plate. Hmm, is that how it is at this BJ's location? Didn't feel comfortable doing that so we asked our server who seemed really busy, we see him flying from one table to another. Our main course didn't come in a reasonable amount of time so we decided to get it packed for to go instead. All this seemingly created hasty chaos continued and we were just so disappointed with the service. He didn't check in with us if we needed anything, we had to ask for plates. Great location, amazing food but service and sanitary practice I reckon, should improve. The poozookie gets all the young ones coming, and perhaps us older adults but service wise, always better to think how to keep customers satisfied with efficient service and warm welcome. read more

Everything was closed since it was Sunday, gave BJs a try after its legal issues. It was really good and the ribeyes steak beats several other restaurants in the area. Usually BJs is my final choice, but after today it's changed. Our server, Benjamin was really good and professional. I really like how he interacted with my kids and made them feel welcomed. They always seem to have plenty of meal deals, such as Happy Hour or specific Daily Deals. On our visit it was very crowded and they had many people waiting inside and outside for a table to open up. We chose to add our name to the list and wait but luckily a table opened up at the bar area and we swooped it up. Much better than waiting the estimated 45+ minutes! I would not recommend this BJ's location, and honestly, after this experience, I would have a hard time recommending BJ's in general. If you have a young child, I especially would not recommend this place. We received very little understanding or helpfulness from the staff. Knowing that service at this location has been an issue, we ordered our drinks and Pizookies at the same time. We waited approximately 25 minutes just to receive our drinks, followed by another hour before receiving our Pizookies. To be clear, we did not order any entrées. We only ordered drinks and Pizookies. My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and actually waited very patiently throughout the experience. After sitting there for that long, she eventually had a small outburst. My wife was carrying her out of the restaurant when I heard an employee laughing and say, "Well, I'm glad that's not my daughter." That comment really bothered me. I understand that children can have moments, but laughing and making a comment like that about a 2 1/2-year-old who had been patiently waiting for well over an hour was completely unnecessary and disrespectful. The manager was decent and was not rude to me when I brought my concerns to her. However, I do feel that she could have handled the situation better and shown more concern about what happened. I left feeling like my concerns were acknowledged, but not really taken seriously. The extremely long wait and especially the employee's comment are what ultimately made this experience so disappointing. If I could give zero stars I would. Came here to celebrate a birthday and immediately everything started off bad. Waiter said they were out of a lot of things but wasn't sure what. Turns out it was half our drinks and half our food orders. Drinks took over 30 minutes to stagger out and all of a sudden after 30 minutes half our food orders weren't available either. We watched drinks we were told were out walk by our table all night, but they weren't available for us. Funny thing is the three orders that were "out"ended up coming first while the remaining 5 orders weren't even placed. The kids were the last to receive food almost two hours after we sat down and after the first half finished their meal and the second half took our meals to go. The manager took no accountability and blamed being short staffed while we watched tables around us get their drinks, get their food and we just kept waiting. We will not come back. BJ's New Orleans Jambalaya was absolutely delicious! It had so much bold flavor with the blackened chicken, sautéed shrimp, and chicken-andouille sausage all mixed together perfectly. The bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cajun-spiced broth gave it that rich New Orleans-style flavor with just the right amount of spice. Food took forever as did refills. Food again arrived at different times. My niece food came 15 mins after we ordered. They offered her some fries as she waited kind gesture but she just wanted her chicken and pasta. I know you said in my last review to let a manger know on site. Would hav loved too but never saw one. Also i ordered the Monday - Friday special pizza and salad with a pazookie but they charged me for a medium pizza and side salad. Man BJs has gone so downhill (or it just might be this location). Mediocre is the best word I can use to describe our experience here. We made a reservation for 5 people for 6:00. We get there right at 6 PM and are told to wait for a table. We had to remind the hostess a couple times before they sat us down claiming at one point that we didn't make a reservation and the only way to make one is to call ahead. We had used Opentable. We were sat at a booth which was big enough to fit all of us though it was quite dirty. The server was sweet. Probably was in high school and I could tell he was trying but was definitely slow and had to ask him multiple times for stuff like water. We got an appetizer sampler to start which included 2 sliders, mozzarella sticks, boneless chicken wings, and chips and guac. For an appetizer, the food took forever to arrive and only came a few minutes before our entrees. The appetizers (especially the wings) were so salty and had no other flavor. Entrees were only slightly better. The mediterranean chicken tacos were on a really thick pita bread and had no flavor at all. I was at least looking forward to our pizookie but it was the thinnest piece of cookie and the sweetest cookie on top of that. Place has the worst service - so when my son said he wanted to eat here to celebrate graduating high school, I wasn't thrilled. But his call. I got a reservation at 7:00 pm for a party of 5. We showed up at 7:00 exactly. We've now been waiting to be seated for 40 minutes.... We had a RESERVATION at 7 and 40 minutes later- still waiting to be seated. We just came from a wonderful experience, which redeemed the kind of mediocre service we seemed to get the last few times we've been here. If you get a chance to sit at Ethan's table, do it! He was attentive to our toddlers needs, brought out extras that we didn't even have to ask for, and was on top of making sure our food was there quickly and drinks were refilled often. Anyway, I waited to place a to-go order, but it took at least 8 to 10 mins before someone arrived to take or hand out orders whilst the phone rang and rang. The manager ended up taking my orders and was very pleasant. I like most of the food,but when I wanted a pan pizza different from the rest, it didn't fit the bill. We had a group of 10 at the Menifee BJ's on June 29, 2026. The food took over 1.5 hours to come out, with two people waiting even longer. Our server Rachel was fantastic and we tipped her well. Unfortunately, when we spoke to Manager Gabriel about the delays, he accused our group of "planning this" to get a free meal. He was defensive, refused to shake my hand, and gave a very poor apology even after the meals were comped. The service issues were fixable, but the way management handled it left a very bad impression. This location seems to have ongoing problems. I hope BJ's looks into improving management and kitchen operations at this store. read more
