Food: I'm not the type to complain and this is the first time I ever had to send a plate back at any restaurant. The "medium rare" came out well done with a sizable burn. See attached. Service: Horrible even with calling ahead we were waiting for our food for a very long time. While this is usually not the fault of the server. When we asked for a remaining wait time we were met with attitude. I just finished eating a meal here with my family, and unfortunately, none of us cared much for our meal. I had the personal deep dish pizza and I thought it was okay. I know the size is "personal", but it was smaller and shallower than I expected. Our fries were cold, the coleslaw was warm, and the blue cheese container for the salad was pitiful in size. For $7 each, I ordered the Sliders, Chicken Pot Stickers, and Mozzarella Sticks, as well as the Chips w/ Salsa + Guacamole for $4. Lastly, I got the Deep Dish Steak Nachos for about $23. All of the appetizers tasted great. The food took about 30-40 minutes to come out, so the wait was slightly extended. It was an oversight that the table was missing an order of Avocado Egg Rolls after leaving. I reached out via the Feedback Page on the BJ's website. The manager, Marco, was super helpful in this manner. He replied within 24 hours and offered a courtesy gift card - much appreciation for his quick responsiveness. The person who served me was Ty. He was super friendly and attentive. He made sure that I had everything needed for the table. Overall, the entire experience was good, from the food to the service. Made reservations and still had to wait close to 1 hour. We had a party of 7 and it was very noticeable that 2 out of 7 of us had mobility issues, but still stuffed us in the bar area. The table only sat 6. At one point, one of the other waitress made us move the chair. Not only that...at the beginning, when questioned why we are getting this table and not giving us another "opened" table, she said, "Well, did I get you all in? Honestly, the food wasn't bad the Pazooki was so good but the customer service definitely made me give this a one star review. I've been here a couple times and all times were not bad until today. Our server David was so disrespectful and rude. When I ordered something he criticized it and I brushed it off because sometimes waiters try to be funny, but his face was dead serious while criticizing what I ordered then we had told him prior that we were going to order Pazooki's later on after we get our food so he came over and brought us ranch and ketchup then I told him that we were ready to order them and he was very impatient and had a rude face on while he was waiting, I asked the rest of our group with flavor Pazooki's they wanted and he straight up said "do you guys need more time because I have other things to do" and I get it. This is the second time I have gone to BJ's here in California. The first time the food was phenomenal at this location but that was back in 2024. For this visit, we had a very friendly server who would check in and every once in a while and everything ran smoothly during the ordering process. Me and my fiancé ordered the Brewhouse Bites Sampler which we both thought was amazing. And then we ordered our entrees: I got the Crispy Jalapeño Burger with sweet potato fries, got the burger well done and asked the server if I could get the onions grilled or cooked due to currently being pregnant; which I mentioned. My fiancé got Tri-Tip Medium well with Shrimp Scampi, Asparagus and Rice. While waiting for our food our server was accompanied by another server and she passed along that she'd be switching places with the server due to heading home and we appreciated that; the new girl was friendly as-well. 20-30 minutes pass and we get our food. Right away food looked great. Although, the onions were not cooked, they were raw; I put them to the side. And my fiancé's Tri-Tip was not Medium Well it was tough and well done; my burger was well done. The Shrimp Scampi only had 5 pieces of shrimp. And I tried my sweet potato fries and they were overly salty like someone had poured the whole salt shaker on the fries. My fiancé also tried them and couldn't eat them either, we both tried to take the salt off and they were extremely salty. We left feeling hungry. I'd recommend if any of you go to a Brewhouse and want to get full, go to the Brass Tap. There's an amazing atmosphere there and doesn't feel as cramped as BJ's seating is. read more

Horrible! BJ's must stand for Big Joke! The service and food is awful! We came in and was told we would have a 50 minute wait. To pass the time while waiting for a table, my party decided to have a drink at the bar. At first I thought the bartenders were friendly and spirited, but my mind was quickly changed. The bartenders started loudly complaining about how busy they are, how there are missing menus, and how backed up they were with making drinks. This was really killing everyone's mood. The drinks were then poorly made. The drinks were entirely mixer. I don't think there was even a drop of liquor in any of the drinks. The margarita flight tasted like juice, the Dubai Chocolate martini tasted like a melted milkshake, and the dirty martini tasted like sink water. This was very disappointing since the cocktails were not cheap. When our table was ready, one member of my party asked the hostess if we could bring our drinks from the bar to the table and carry over the tab - she said yes. Another person asked the bartender if we can carry over the tab and he told us we couldn't and had to close out there. I'm not sure where this miscommunication came from but it definitely seemed like the bartender was just trying to make sure he got his tip (which we reluctantly left). Once we sat at our table, we were left there for over 20 minutes with no server to check on us. The menus and tables were dirty with crumbs and hairs all over. I understand it was super busy, but servers continued to pass by us, noticing we still had our menus out and no food. Eventually one server actually stopped by our table and took our very simple order: Brewhouse Sampler Plate, Jumbo Spaghetti & Meatballs, and 3 glasses of water. We let the server know that we would be sharing these dishes. Typically, drinks are the first thing to come out after placing an order. However, our table received the spaghetti first. We then had another 10-15 minute wait for our sampler plate to come out. The chicken wings were rock solid and cold. The spinach artichoke dip was also cold. The sliders were miserable - incredibly dry and flavorless. No cheese or anything on them, just bread, patty, and a dollop of ketchup. The mozzarella sticks were the only items on the plate that were warm. We were not given any plates for these shared dishes (which is especially concerning considering one was literally an appetizer). We would have tried to flag the waitress down for some plates but she seemed to never walk by. Once we finished the food, we finally got our waters! We opted to pay through the QR code, which was a big mistake. We wanted to get out of there quickly because it was super crowded and noisy. The default tip was auto selected at 20%. The site seemed to have glitched out and submitted payment without allowing us to adjust the tip. It refreshed and the payment went through. This was an incredibly unfortunate experience and I don't recommend anyone giving their business here. read more

We came here again for some appetizers and drinks while waiting to take pictures with Santa at the mall with family. We were here a few months ago and it was a so-so experience. We thought we would try again and it seemed just as bad or worse this time. We wanted to watch a college football championship game hoping it would be on one of their many tvs. When we sat down at the bar, the 3 big ones over the bar were showing 2 different golf matches. One was not even live and the other was live from Australia. We asked the bartender if we could watch the game after she took our order. She said she wasn't sure since there had been a request from someone to watch hockey and another request before us to watch college football. She said the "manager was trying to figure out what they were going to do" about the requests. We sat there for almost 40 minutes and golf was on the entire time. Another couple had asked after us to watch something and given the same explanation. So, I watched the championship game on my phone at the bar instead. So disappointed in BJ's. How is it that this BJ's has all of these screens and the company promotes to come watch the games yet when people ask to watch certain games they do not accommodate anyone? We were never even given any follow up from anyone about what the "manager" decided what to do. Sounds like an incompetent manager if you ask me. As for the drinks, my wife had a margarita and she said it was good. I had a soda and it was cold. Last time we tried to order avocado rolls and they never came. This time they came and seemed burnt on the ends and were dry. Next time we will go to Buffalo Wild Wings (which is not our favorite) over BJ's. Our server, Eric C, was fast and efficient!! I barely had to say much but a lot of thank you(s) He treated us special and always checked in and brought everything we needed. If BJs in Tracy won't top the service here I'll be coming back to this location for sure...especially since I checked out the mall close by and loved how lively the area is for a Wednesday afternoon. Excellent lunch and great service. My wife had the cheese burger and I had the bacon cheeseburger. Both were cooked as ordered and very delicious. Plenty of fries and our server Ty did not leave out the BBQ sauce. BTW our server Ty did a great job. He greeted us quickly and had our drinks to the table within minutes. Attentive, funny, kind, got the food out hot to us and even noticed after my food was delivered by another server I was supposed to get sweet potato fries. Not sure how this place stays in business......just filled with overwhelmed, inexperienced staff giving out constant apologies. We went in on Saturday evening and sat down to meet our friends. It was already noticeably chaotic, drinks all over the floor as we sat and the hostess tells us "sorry I'll clean that up" but it wasn't a big deal. The manager was at the table next to us already apologizing to another couple which should've been a red flag. After about 10 minutes we flagged down someone and she came over to get us some waters and appetizer order and explained she wasn't the waitress, they were just in between shifts. That's fine, we were told Daniel would be our server and we were cool with waiting. Then this other guy finally came to our table with a waters and our friends drink had a FLY in it so we just got up and left. I'm sure this comment will be replied to with a "we hope not to lose your business in the future" or some other BS but I only hope people stop going here out of convenience and just go to BWW across the way like we did. This visit was probably our last visit to BJ's. The hostess told us our favorite server was leaving, yet we saw him for the entirety of our meal. So that was pretty disappointing. He did come say hello and that was nice. However, we would have preferred to have him as our server, as we requested that server, both over the phone and in person. The waitress we first were assigned to got us drinks and then passed us off because she was "going home". Again, we saw her for the entire time we were there. Our second waitress was very sweet, but a little stressed out. We explained it was not her fault. However, the mistakes the kitchen made could have been smoothed over by the manager, in my opinion. She told him what happened, but he never came by the table. He did a cursory glance in our direction. The burger came out uncooked (mostly red/pink) and over salted the first time. With a request to not season it at all the second time, it was burnt and still way, way, way over salted! So, they took it off our bill. At least I could share what I had, so no one left hungry. It was still disappointing, nonetheless. The best part of the meal was my potatoes. The price for the meal is very affordable, in my opinion. There are several dishes to choose from for just $13.00! You receive an entrée with sides, and a personal pizookie. They have it all day Monday through Friday. For the pizooki choices, I think the Oreo cookies and cream one is the best, with the salted caramel as second choice. We have tried almost all of them, and several fall short. The ambiance is fine. It is a wide open floor plan, you can see all around the dining room with one look. There is a back section hidden away. Good evening. Went in to have dinner and was so disappointed we walked out. They are taking some items off the menu but still have the current menu with the soon to be deleted items on there. So my wife went to order a salad but couldn't because it is no longer on the menu but doesn't say it anywhere. So after being told by the server we told the server that we needed a minute. The server came back and my wife tried to order a chicken sandwich but was told that some of the ingredients on that sandwich were not available also. So my wife compromised on the ingredients.
