    Chicken tortilla soup
    Liz W.

For a chain this works. My husband picked. He wanted a place with a huge menu. This fits the bill. We did their weekend specials. I did Prine Rib. Comes with soup or salad and two additional sides. I got chicken tortilla soup., tomato mozz salad and brussels sprouts. My hubs did the double bone in pork chop with chicken tortilla, rice and asparagus. Both meats were Uber tender. Almost too tender. The chicken tortilla soup was nice. I also quite liked the tomato mozz salad. The asparagus was perfect. Happiness. I thought my sprouts were a clunker. The weird sauce was not to my palette. My husband's rice was meh. My big pet peeve was tiny tiny containers of sauce both au just and horseradish for my prime rib. Just chintzy. Of course the specials came with infamous (apparently- we had no idea) pizookies. What the hell is a pizookie? I asked myself the same. And undercooked cookie with ice cream and assorted toppings. My salted caramel tasted more chocolate chip to me. It was OK. My husband's strawberry shortcake with strawberry slices on a sugar cookie was MUCH better. At least it tasted like advertised. We'd go back.

I did not come for food this evening, I sat at the bar and had an espresso martini 10/10. Service at the bar was quick and efficient. Nice music playing and football games on the TV. Although I did not get food I have in the past and it is pretty good.

A ++ for the beer selection. First time at a Bjs and didn't know they were all about craft beers! Love this, i had a seasonal DIPA beer! Our server, Jojo was super nice, energetic and made great suggestions. I took off a star for the food. To start we got the sautéed dumplings that were supposed to have a Chile sauce over it. The dumplings were dry with no sauce and looked nothing like the picture. The flavor was just okay. My bf got the salmon and said it was good. I ordered the Steakhouse wedge salad. Steak came out well done Instead of medium and the way they cut my meat was unexperienced and lazy. One slice was at least 1.5 inch thick, like they had a hard time cutting the steak. However the combinations of the steak, blue cheese, lettuce etc. Hit the spot. It's a hearty salad. Ill come back for the beer of course!

My first time at BJ's! Our server was super nice and we came on a Wednesday night at 8:30 and it wasn't busy. I wasn't too hungry so I just ordered their Avocado Egg Rolls which were really yummy especially the sauce. I also got their handcrafted Black Cherry Soda which was sooo good. To note though their menu has taken some things off unfortunately which we wanted such as the Potato Skins, Monkey Bread, etc. My friends and I saw on Tiktok that they have a Pizookie Platter with 4 flavors. Unfortunately this location does not do that so FYI if you're wanting to get that. So instead we ordered the Pizookie trio (Strawberry, Salted Caramel, and Hot Fudge) and the Cinnamon Roll Pizookie because that flavor was not available for the trio. They were all very yummy and the perfect sweet treat. Although, my friends that have been to BJ's before did say that the trio used to be bigger like the size of the Cinnamon Roll Pizookie we ordered.

I'm generally happy with the decor and atmosphere at this place. This visit was different. My drink was made wrong initially. My entree was wrong twice. My broccoli was cold. The waiter was not a good listener apparently. Overall this was not a good experience this go around. I wonder what has chance hence this place is usually on point all the way around.

    Enlightened Seared Ahi Salad*

Our server was fantastic. I asked what the star on his lapel was for and he said employee/server of the month! Had a large party for an 80th birthday party and had a nice section out of the way along the windows which was nice for the littles to play around. Easily put candles in a Pizookie trio. Winter Paradise Pomegranate Margarita - not worth the calories. The glass also looked like it dropped into the salt because the side was all covered. And, out of Berry Burst Cider! I keep going back to the Enlightened Seated Ahi Tuna Salad. It's been my order for my last three visits, and at three different BJ's: Taylor, Lansing, and Grand Rapids. The Ahi was great but the dressing was a little too vinegary(?) on this one. I couldn't finish it, but that meant more room for a Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with Vanilla ice cream which is definitely worth the calories

At first I thought I didn't care for BJs but I just went to the wrong location. The Taylor location is definitely better than the other one I went to. Customer service is great. Drinks do what they're supposed to. The happy hour is good! I think this might end up being one of my go tos

BJ History: I went to a BJ's in California and it was "ok". The burger was tasteless and bland. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I was turned away! Really! Then corporate contacted me and offered me a second try. I was very hesitant and turned off. After a few months, I decided to give BJ's one last try. This would be it. All or nothing. If they failed again, I would never return. I'm a good restaurant eater and a good tipper. Today: 2023 Wow! I finally got to try their Prime Rib! I had my usual medium rare! Wow. Excellent! Juicy and cooked to perfection. Seriously. I was impressed. All the fat melted in my mouth. This really was good. The au jus was delicious and complimented the prime rib perfectly. When cooked for a long time, it should be soft like butter and it should melt in your mouth. This prime rib was a major HIT. Wow. Don't miss this. I will definitely be back for more Prime Rib. Wow. 2024 Came back. Still good. They updated their menu too. They have shrimp now and onion rings now. Great food. They open till 12 every day now. Highly recommended

    Managers hand written not

The manager Andy! I asked him for the number to cooperate not only was he rude to me he told me to look it up after insisted he give me the number he intentionally gave me the wrong phone number he gave me the phone number to BJ's wholesale store worst experience from a manager in customer service of a community restaurant across the street from my home that I no longer feel comfortable dining at all this stemmed from me placing a to go and when I got all the way home it was incorrect so it was taken back untouched he refused me a refund said corporate would be emailing me in three days unacceptable!

    Wine slushy
    Christina S.

I did not get very many pictures, I came here to use my birthday pizookie, and we ordered mozzarella sticks and bone in chicken with some drinks. The food was okay nothing spectacular, expensive for no reason. The drinks were just okay I had the wine slushy and skinny casamingo not worth the price in my opinion. The only thing that still taste great is the pizookie, i orders the Oreo one and it was chocolaty and delicious. I haven't been here in some years and I kind of see why. I will come here again but probably only if invited.

    The jugs

BAD CUSTOMER SURVICE Came in one day and bought their 64oz jugs each jug costed me $4 and they charged me $2 per jug to fill it up. They told me i could come in anytime and fill it up for the same price. Thought is was great. The next time i came in i went to fill it up they wanted to charge me $14 for 2 jugs being $6.99 plus tax per jug, i explained my point of view to the brewer and he got his manager his name was jimmy, i spoke to him, told him what i was told. And he told me well thats too bad thats the price. What a scum bag no solution just fuck me. Terrible service. Ended up having them pouring out the vanilla cream soda and taking my jugs with me. Didnt even try to bargain a sale. Poured them out and walked away.

We decided to sit out at the patio cause it was a nice day. They had a band getting ready to play which was pretty cool. We ordered a couple cocktails I got a Peach Old Fashioned which was very delicious and boozy. As for an appetizer we ordered these Pretzel sticks which were soft and chewy and then the cheese that came with it was delicious. The burger I had was called "Fire Haven" it had onions, tomato and jalapeños on it with 2 hamburger patties, it had lettuce but I asked for no lettuce since we have this parasite going around the U.S. right now, The burger was quite tasty and very fulfilling, the jalapeño had a nice crunch to it and the meat was seasoned very well. I also ordered a German Dunkel beer which I didn't really care for, I thought I would like it cause I love dark beers but I guess I don't like German dark beers. Everything here was so good. We were able to seat ourselves, the waitress, who was also the bartender, serves us our cocktails really fast and just everything was spot on.

This is a German restaurant in name only. Service was sub-par. My party sat for 10-15 minutes before water was offered. Ordered appetizers and our dinners. Dinners came first followed five minutes later by appetizers. My order of Chicken paprikash was lukewarm and I could find very little chicken in it. I was so hungry I regrettably ate it that way. Waitress never checked back if everything was ok or if we wanted another round of drinks. I generously give two stars because the Weihenstephaner Dunkel on draft is a rare find and the German egg rolls are outstanding. Other than that, our visit was sehr enttäuschend (disappointing)

The kitchen did a great job that evening. I ordered off the "Secret Menu" and got the Chicken Triestana, and my husband ordered the fish and chips. When the food came to the table it was incredibly hot, full of flavor. My chicken was perfectly executed. The meat was hot, tender juicy, full of flavor and lemon and artichoke. It was enjoyed by myself, and my husband. Next was his fish, hot, crispy, thick, juicy. The cod also was very flavorful, the cole slaw was incredibly delicious and a perfect pair for the fish. Banging, yelling, and an open doorway into the kitchen. Off-putting, especially with better seating clearly open. The food keeps the rating up. I did not expect a wings place, but the smoked wings were my favorite, right amount of crispy with good smoke. The sauce list is long and I couldn't pick a favorite. The ranch tasted house-made and it was amazing. The chikin soho was the other standout. Honey ginger glaze, chili dijon slaw, and pickles that all work together. Misses: the brisket nachos needed fresh guac and actual brisket, since there was barely any. The 6 cheese mac was fine but not worth ordering again. Prices were right for what it is, a bistro concept. It's in Wayne, which surprised me since I didn't know spots like this existed out here. Wide enough menu that I'll be back. Next time I'm speaking up about the seating.
