This place is alright... I have gotten very good service and yummy food. The menu annoys me because it's a freaking NOVEL (but i do not subtract points because of that). The entrees and salads are usually very good. The pizza crust and toppings are very good however their portioning of the two needs a little work. The best part about this place is the beer... such a variety and their brews are great and the porter goes well with their yumyum pazookies! Oh My God. (or OMG if you prefer). Italian Market Pizza is likely the best pizza I've had in the most recent years of my life. So Good... Beers are awesome. They have probably 40 taps for beers (check their website for info), but they also have about a dozen more taps with their own brewed beers. I had a pint each of the blond, Piranha Pale, and the hefeweizen. All were good. I've found my new favorite place in Tyler. read more

Went for lunch today with a friend. Everything was just okay nothing that stood out. I ordered my normal selections 1) cheese curds to start - no complaints, I mean you can't go wrong with fried cheese 2) cherry glazed salmon - it comes with a tomato spinach couscous. I don't like tomatoes or spinach really so I asked for no tomatoes. Normally when I ask for this I don't get extra spinach so I can just pick out what I don't want to eat. Well today it's as though they just subbed out the tomato for EXTRA SPINACH. Yuck. I picked most of it out of the couscous and called it done. The service was great and our waiter freely gave his recommendations. Our food came out prepared as ordered (burgers were a perfect medium for my husband and medium rare for my daughter and I). I wasted $36 on Uber for two items. The barbecue chicken pizza was not even as big as my hand. It was tasty but dry. Super small for the price. Not impressed. The nachos were nothing like the photo on the ordering page. There was barely any chicken or cheese (plainly can tell this from the photo) and was not worth $14 either. I am never disappointed with the food or service. The Octoberfest brew that I had here is still one of the yeastiest Marzens I have had.

Good place for beer. Artichoke dip was good. I ordered ribeye steak with asparagus and broccoli. I thought restaurants are supposed to serve US prime or US choice. Not US Dog. Tough. Only reason I'm giving two stars is because the waiter was really good. Ordered Nashville chicken sandwich and it came out thinner then my fries so it was a bread sandwich pritty much. Another one of us ordered broc cheddar soup and not only did they not bring it out until everyone was almost done eating it was cold. Well in general all our food was not hot. My daughter ordered bonless wings and they were the size of popcorn chicken. Manager did not care to even apologize to us at the table for the crap food. My wife ordered flat bread cal club. When I got home & opened the bag the clam chowder was in a small cardboard container. It looked so small (8 oz) I call the restaurant back & verified that I had received the bowl of chowder. I measured the content & it was 8 oz for $7.25. The salad had lettuce, carrots, cheese & croutons. No tomatoe or cucumber. My wife's California flat bread was over cooked. Based on today's results we won't be back. They gave me a virgin margarita flight. The pizza has no sauce on it. The pizza toppings weren't even cooked just raw chunks of onions on top. I've been to this chain restaurant in Baton Rouge as well and they were both good experiences. I always get the mini pizza which is filling. My husband got a burger and really enjoyed it. They have a huge menu selection of both food and craft beers. I'm not a beer drinker, but the Berry Burst Cider was delicious. BJ's is not the best I've ever had, but enough to go back every once in a while, when I'm in the area of one. read more

My husband and I have now been to BJ's twice since they opened this week, most recently today. Both times, we were happy with our meals and service. They have a great selection of beers, especially for Tyler--many of which are brewed in-house. Their lunch specials are very reasonable (it was $30 for the two of us, pre-tip, including 3 beers). Their menu has a good selection of American food -- pizzas, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, soup, steak, etc. Everything that we've had was good. So far we've tried pizza, various soups, salad, and sandwiches, and didn't have anything that we didn't like. Everything was fresh, and the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. They are located in the parking lot of the Tyler mall, and have a nice outdoor patio. There is a full bar inside, along with ample seating and big booths. I would definitely recommend giving them a try. I would give them 5 stars, but I think their non-lunch prices are a touch high for the area. Other than that, though, they are great. read more

finally a date night with my Wife - I was so looking forward to having their Prime Rim - 1st time to a BJ's so we went online to look at their (extensive) menu - I picked the Prime Rib, she went for the Thyme Chicken can I post pictures ? my Prime Rib came to the table looking like a Blackened Charcoal Brickette - Wife said her Chicken had the consistency of "pressed chicken" - I got thru 1/2 of my dish and brought the rest home so as to take a picture of it - Wife took the 1 bite of the Chicken and left the rest best thing about both our meals were the Salads - I had the Tomato with Cheese (good) She had a Caesar (I think) - my Baked Potato, tho small, was typical Baked Potato but there was no Butter served with it, only Sour Cream. My 2nd side was Green Beans - I ate one (1) and left the rest my meal came with one of their Ice Cream dishes but I was so bummed out that I asked my Wife to ask a woman, with 2 small girls, if she would like my dessert for her girls when they were finished with their meals - "Yes, thank you".....I told our waitress about the dessert thing and she said she'd take care of it when the girls finished their meals a complete disappointment that I was sooooo looking forward to - boo hiss bah ! read more

I was very disappointed with the service. I arrived on a weekday evening, and there were very few patrons present. There was no host at the front upon my arrival, so I waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Then I waited an additional 5 minutes for the waiter to take my drink order. He completely forgot my drink, and it took him 16 minutes (I timed it) before returning to take my food order. When my food arrived (delivered by a different waiter), I requested an extra plate, which never came. My initial server never checked in on me once during the meal, and I had to flag him down to get the check. There were quite a few staff members present, but there was no sense of urgency or care for the customers. I will not be returning. read more

I've liked BJ's Favorite Pizza since 2007. However, Wednesday evenings I called the Carryout phone line. The waitress answered, asking me to hold, she then sets the phone down, I can hear her talking to someone. In my 15 minute wait, I heard her help one customer, for about 4-5 minutes. When she finally recognized the phone was sitting there, she made an insincere apology and finally took my order, I should have hung up! I wanted pizza, which was the only reason you get two stars! I waited another 20 minutes for my pizza, I didn't complain at the time out of fear my food would be tainted! I did give her a tip, because I'm kind, but she didn't earn it! read more

We were initially sitting outside in the heat, and a lovely manager or some such moved us into the bar area. There were about 15 of us and service was really good. Just got back from this eatery and just wanted to put in a little input. I've been many times to BJ's and just about always get good food and service. I was meeting a few people and nobody, but nobody new that yet, the server for the bar area past by me three times without acknowledgement. My Guest's finally arrive and he finally came by. I didn't like his whole demeaner, very short with everything, nothing extra. On the food side, everything was great, with the exception of the Turmeric Brussel Sprouts, the flavor was not pleasant for my vegetarian friend, but heck it's turmeric. However, it was very mushy, like it was left over from lunch. A little less cookin would be a good thing. Otherwise, good place. read more
