Of the 3 major wholesale clubs, BJ's is my second choice after Costco. This particular branch is pretty solid. It's very clean, parking is a breeze and the staff is really nice. I've even had 2 of them refuse tips when helping me load up an over-sized item. Three times, "here this is for you", and they simply don't want it. Must be something about the PA water. In NYC, that tip would be gone...so gone. Some of the upsides here are the cheap and delicious rotisserie chickens for $5, the big and heavily discounted selection of name brand kids clothing, the convenient gas station close by (not the cheapest around, but pretty cheap), and the burgeoning selection of organic foods. As for negatives, Im getting a bit steamed about the Made in China food items which are popping up at BJ's (and in wholesale stores in general) more and more. The branding is also making it quite hard to spot at a glance. For example, I recently bought a USDA Organic bag of pine nuts from the Belle Sole company. I figured Made in the USA, maybe Italy or Mexico. Nope. China. And they tasted horrendous. So bad, that I actually had to return it. It's also not just the pine nuts. I've also seen frozen fish, noodles, Asian dry goods, Asian frozen dinners, and soybeans, all from China. I don't mind food from Asia or overseas, but it really is controversial to stock food from China given their legacy of worker exploitation, pollution concerns, criticisms about the quality of organics sourced there, and scandals with food contamination. Further, what the hell, how is it cheaper to import noodles from China than to make them here at home? It's basically flour and eggs in a plastic bag. BJ's can't find an American company to do that? I don't know, there's something very wrong with that scenario. It certainly feels shortsighted and greedy for companies like BJ's to import food from China. However, since my hardline stance is outweighed by my kids love their Frigo cheese sticks, I'll almost certainly be back (unless they start to make them in China, I guess). read more

This was followed by similar treatment by Tracy in the eye glasses department who looked after me until my family my family came to get me. No international food. We shop there but it doesn't help that it is not one stop shop. I want chicken Tikka Masala or even the jarred sauce and this store doesn't carry much for Indian food or international cuisine. Yet, they have tons of Chinese food. I love the gluten free options at BJ's! They have products that are hard to find elsewhere at a great price. My favorites are the gf Perdue chicken fingers and the Frechetta gf pizzas. Self check out is quick. Just wish they had the cafes that BJ's and Costco had. They had one and removed it for order staging. Maybe one day they will feff rc it back and do the staging near the tire entrance instead. read more

After calling the store and speaking to the manager he insisted that he couldn't credit my account unless I came in the store! I finally got a credit after calling the BJ's 800 number. BJ's is a great place to get your gas at a discounted price especially since poopy pants Biden got in office. It's regularly about .30 cents cheaper per gallon than wawa and if you go shopping first before buying gas there are ways to save even more money on your gas. When I first started ordering from BJ's, I was able to track my order, however, these last two months I was unable to. When I called BJ's in Langhorne, the representative (nasty) indicated that BJ's doesn't have nothing to do with tracking my order it is Door Dash. However, I placed my order with BJ's and they are the one who receives my money. So, if I don't get my order they are the ones to refund me. To make a long story short, I am in the process of thinking about canceling my BJ's account not because of the order but due to the lack of concern and compassion the representative have for elderly people who have to order due to not having a car. I order from SAM's club in Langhorne and I don't have a problem with tracking my order. There are other options and choices, I can choose to purchase from. This branch is often out of sales items with days of the sale start. I have repeatedly been told that more of a popular sale item is "on the rack" or "in the cage" and can be brought down for me to pick up THE NEXT DAY! Some staff are friendly but the veteran staff tend to be short and unfriendly. It is impossible to find employees on the floor - they all congregate up front. They often do not stock any boxes for carrying purchased goods. This company mimics Costco in look but is not in the same class. Let me preface this review by saying that the store has good deals, is clean, and shopping there has generally been a good experience. Several months have passed since my membership expired and I recently received a "Free 60-day Membership" coupon in the mail. Having not been to a warehouse store in a long while, my husband and I went in one night and spent a couple of hours loading $300+ worth of stuff into the cart (it's horrifyingly easy to do). We got to the register and I scanned the coupon but it wouldn't take, so I walked to the Customer Service desk to get help. Once there the rep keyed my name into her computer and informed me that I wasn't eligible for the free 60-day offer because I used to be a member. I asked her, "Why did BJs send me the offer if I'm not eligible?" She didn't have an answer for that but instead tried to sell me a new membership, attempting to lure me in with a $50 restaurant.com gift card. It certainly seemed like a classic bait and switch - a company that large surely has the technology to separate mailing lists between those who were never members and those who were. Even if the coupon was sent in error she should have said, "That's our mistake, not yours, so we'll gladly honor the offer." She saw how much money we were about to spend and still wasn't budging. Just no common sense, much less business sense, and this was a grown woman in her 30s, not a 16-year old. It was only when we asked to see the manager that we were told that the manager was busy and that we could use the offer. This is either a training issue, a procedural issue, or a management issue. Each BJ's has it's own life. This one is usually pretty clean and well stocked. For some reasons, the employees are nicer in this one, so I like to go there, even though it's further from where I live. Why is it, that this one carries dry legumes and not the others around, I have no idea, but that's another reason I go here. It's conveniently located near, a buffet, best buy and petsmart, so it allows me to shop and eat all at once. read more

This store has turned into a complete joke. During the pandemic, they must have decided to install a number of new self checkout lanes, which is fine except for the fact that they are horrendous. I'm there on a random Thursday afternoon and the checkout line runs throughout the entire store. No one was directing anyone and most people are clueless, so they just stand there. Terrible customer service. BJs policy is that if you forget your card you need to stop at the customer service desk and pick up an oop ticket. They will make you feel like an idiot for forgetting your card and then if they don't find you in the system you don't get your ticket. If you get a BJ's membership make sure you never forget your card. After I supplied them with my drivers license, and way too much personal information, they were still unable to find me in the system. When I got home and called the customer service department the customer service department immediately took an attitude. I Will be the first want to say that customer service, especially phone customer service has got to be one of the toughest jobs in the US. I can't imagine having to do it again. But taking a bad attitude on the phone it's certainly no way to avoid a bad yelp review. All their phone customer service person was willing to do is repeat the same question over and over again "you have to stop by the customer service desk if you forget your card." To which I replied over and over again "I did that." I didn't have a problem with giant, they were happy to serve me without my card, and after giving them my phone number they even credited my purchases to my bonus card. Best experience(s) at a BJ's ever. Staff was VERY helpful. When you get lost in the maze of items it's always a relief to have someone to help you navigate through the crap on your list. I had difficulty finding the tomato pastes in the Fairless Hills BJ's but staff is always right around the corner. One staff member I need to thank is Collin. I am very short (5'1) and was having some extreme difficulty reaching certain items on the shelf. Without asking, the young man placed the items in my cart and went on his way. Not even a week later I was there with my nephew and as we were getting into the car, a couple left their empty cart out instead of setting it back. It took a matter of seconds and all of a sudden it started rolling straight for our car. Before we knew what was going on the SAME tall fella sprints forward and stops the cart from leaving a hefty scratch on my nephew's car. He's the reason this place gets 5 stars read more

Purchased an iPod touch here and I opened it later that night to find out that the camera didn't exist on the iPod touch when it clearly stated on the box that it did! Took it back the next day and customer service was awesome and gave me a gift card to use for the one with the camera (a $30 difference). I was very happy they were able to help. read more
