I've visited BKD Bagels a couple of times now - both for breakfast sammies. BKD is located in a really old house in Old Town Leesburg. Most of the parking spots are around back behind the business. The first time I ordered the "People's Champ": Cold-smoked Lox, plain cream, cheese, tomato, red onion, and capers - on a Jalapeño-Cheddar bagel. Overall, a tasty version of the classic - I wish they also added some fresh dill to it - that would have put it over the top. I also would have liked a bit more capers to add a bit more brininess to it. The second time visiting - I ordered the "Hangover," on a Jalapeño-Cheddar bagel: Sausage, fried egg, American cheese, cream cheese, and a hashbrown. Overall - tasty - but really messy to eat. The addition of the cream cheese makes the whole thing want to slide apart as one is eating it. Next time - I'll have them hold the cream cheese and replace it with extra American cheese. Both times I also ordered a cold brew. Their cold brew is pretty good. There is seating on the main floor, as well as in several rooms upstairs. Paid with Apple Pay. Service was good! #BKDBagels

Next time you're in Leesburg you must try a bagel at BKD! I highly recommend the everything bagel. It's delicious. And the amount of cheese they give you is amazing!

Came here for breakfast on a friends recommendation. First thing I wanna say is that they have a big variety of type of bagels to choose from which is really nice. They got everything from sweet (such as chocolate chip) to savoury (like spicy everything) bagels. They got different sandwiches and you can pick what type of bagel you want with it, or you can also make your own sandwich. I got the hot and bothered on a spicy everything bagel and it tasted good. I wasn't blown away or anything, and it was kind of pricey. My favourite thing I tried from here was their whipped cream cheese! It's a small shop so there's limited tables and seating, but it's got a very cute atmosphere. They're also pet friendly! The staff were very patient and fast at making the food.

BKD Bagels is a bagel shop that offers small batched, hand-rolled bagels in DT Leesburg. The menu offers bagels with shmears, sandwiches, create-your-own items, and drinks (coffee, tea, mimosas, etc.). We came here for breakfast, wanting to check out their bagel options. We ordered: +the 'cado toast - open-faced, topped with avocado over-easy eggs, pickled onions, deli dressing, sea salt, and crushed red pepper on any bread of your choice; we opted for the plain bagel - the hubs enjoyed this; it was freshly prepared, but a little 'drippy' with the deli dressing; pickled onions weren't necessary, but a nice add-on for those who are into pickled/vinegary toppings; definitely a messy item, so you'll need a fork and knife +a jalapeno-cheddar bagel with lox & scallion cream cheese - the bagel is automatically toasted; this is a considerably large bagel, I felt, which had a nice mound of melted cheese on it; it could have been more spicy with the jalapenos, but there wasn't any kick to it; the amount of cream cheese provided was overly generous, which could have been used to shmear another 1-2 bagels! Service was friendly and welcoming, and there were a handful of tables inside as well as some on the porch for al fresco dining; a popular spot with the locals, it seems, as there was a line and multiple to-go orders placed. A good option if you're in the Leesburg area! +good tasty bagels +friendly staff +limited street parking available

My first time here and a solid bagel spot. I got the hot and bothered bagel sandwich (without bacon) and it was delicious, the hot honey really made it!. Friendly staff and quick service.

No complaints here! I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast bagel sandwhich!! I ordered from Doordash and the food came with no mistakes I got The Hangover on an everything bagel. It comes with hash brown, egg, sausage, cream cheese, and cheese. I opted the sausage for bacon. Definitely will order it again. The sandwhich alone on Doordash was $13 but I think it's cheaper in store.

Noms! The hangover bagel sandwich was HEAVY but really good. It makes sense why it's named hangover. Service was friendly and fast. I got a pager for my sandwich and it only took about 5-10 mins. It's a very cute place and gives you some small town feels. Bagel was really fresh and soft! Stop in if you get a chance to try!

I happened to be in the area during a weekday and stopped by since I heard their lines were crazy on the weekends. I parked in the back and it was really easy. I placed an order for a custom everything bagel with egg & cheese and added tomato & onion to it, which is my go to bagel. The service was prompt and friendly. The aesthetics of the place are cute as well but it was freezing inside and I even went upstairs to see if it was warmer it was not. The bagel itself was really small compared to most places and I didn't think anything special. I'm not a big eater but for $6 or $7 can't remember for just one egg & cheese bagel seemed steep and I think they literally just put one egg inside of it. I usually give my husband half of my bagel sandwiches this wasn't the case. I'm just happy I didn't wait in line for mediocre bagels. Also they charge $4 for a coffee can when I can get a specialty latte elsewhere for the same price. Their drip is also self serve but at least that wasn't overpriced.

BKD has some potential, but will need to tighten up their operations a bit. Logistics: great parking in the back. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. They use Upserve by Lightspeed for payment processing. Like Bites (that was in this location before) they need to engineer a better customer flow. It's unclear who is standing in line to make an order vs waiting to pick something up or just looking at the menu. Nice mix of sandwich options including a build your own, but little disappointed that they are focused on Boar's Head meats rather than local farm sourcing. Scallion cream cheese is pretty amazing. And as a former Jersey guy I like that they have pork roll, but not sure how popular that will be here. Everything and poppy bagels are the stars. Please add pumpernickel and rye however. Their overall production game needs to improve. Twice our bagels have been slightly under cooked. They also seem to be running out regularly and they have placed limits, as in you can't get a dozen bagels. That's usually not a problem for my wife and I, but when we had a bunch of family in for Thanksgiving I just got a couple of bagels and then went to Dolce to stock up where there are no limits. Overall this is 3.5 with potential. They just recently opened, so one hopes they continue to improve.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels genuinely welcoming -- warm lighting, a relaxed vibe, and staff who actually seem happy to be there. The coffee is exceptional. My go-to is their latte, which is consistently smooth and perfectly balanced -- never bitter, never over-roasted. It's clear they take real care in sourcing and preparation. The espresso has great depth and the milk is steamed just right every single time. The space itself is cozy but not cramped, making it ideal whether you're catching up with a friend or settling in with your laptop for a few hours. The pastries are a lovely bonus -- fresh and worth every bite. Leesburg has no shortage of coffee options, but Second Nature stands apart. It feels like a neighborhood gem that actually cares about its community and its craft. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality cup and a genuinely good experience.

Would love to visit again.

It took 10 mins for anyone to come see us. I had to get up to ask for someone to get our orders. To boot, the person who was supposed to assist us, was in the back hall by the restrooms texting and hanging out. I assume no one told her that we were there. The cider I ordered was warm, so I had to ask for a cup of ice at the bar. My husband's burger was meant to be medium well and it was raw. Lastly, it's extremely loud in that room. The chairs are metal, and when drug against the flooring, they make an awful sound! They really need a form of rubber on the legs. Very hard for grandma, who has hearing aids. Poor thing was so uncomfortable. The room next to us, with a door leading to the window to the kitchen, was so incredibly annoying. They were pounding the entire time we were seated, and it was LOUD! We all just sat completely silent. This was an incredibly disappointing visit and we will not come back.

This place is just stunning...the dining area, stairs with positive messages, the ordering/"shopping", even the bathroom! The service is just exceptional, above and beyond. It was a seameless process to make the reservation online and edit as needed. There were automatic emails and texts for the reservation confirmation and reminder. Each afternoon tea includes 2 pots of tea, 1 macaron/person, and additional bites (savory & sweet). Luckily, there were 2 of us, so we each ordered our own teas. I'm not sure how flexible they are if requesting additional tea pots for larger parties (max 8 people). The weekdays tea is $35/person, weekends $40/person (needs a reservation). There is an 18% gratuity to all the final bill regardless of the number of people in the party. I would highly recommend the Thai tea...I don't add any sugar or cream to my tea and it was still so tasty. I ordered the coconut macaron, which is the newest addition the the macaron family. Parking: there is parallel parking available in front of and around the establishment. There is also a parking garage roughly 1 block (walking distance), which is free on the weekends. If planning a visit on the weekdays, be sure to read the parking signs carefully. I would definitely return to try other items on their menu.

She was hospitable and walked us upstairs to the cat room, introducing us to the cats and telling us about each of their personalities. The cats are all rescues looking for a forever home. What a great way to introduce them to people! There were tons of toys to use to interact and play with the cats. There was a basket of combs and some really enjoyed being brushed. They had several bowls of food and water and were very well take care of. The warm cookie was delish and tea and coffee were also available. Upon leaving there are lint rollers available because cat hair is inevitable; however, the cat area was very clean and tidy! The air purifiers helped, especially because the doors couldn't be opened in the winter. There is a screened in balcony I assume can be used in better weather. My daughter loved this place and wants to go back! While the experience was a bit pricey, I know it's going toward a good cause.
