Pepperoni pizza except I couldn't wait and took a bite

There's something special about that margarita pizza man, wow!!!! Tucked away from the Main Street area but even in December it was worth the 3-5 minute walk from where we were headed. Definitely recommended for family, friends and even those I've never met!

I'm come from across town to get a slice or two of their pizza. The people here are always friendly couldn't ask better service. They're changing the decor the place so right now the walls are bare.

Idk if they have new owners or something but the pizza kind of really sucks now. It's just dough with a SUPER thin layer of cheese on it. You only taste dough, with a hint of something gooey. Grateful to the worker who tried to do right by me and gave me a replacement pie at a steep discount plus tip for the delivery. Might just stick to their other menu items instead.

Ordered delivery though the Slice app and it a little late. We ordered the garlic knots(not pictured), jalapeno poppers, and Margherita Pizza and the pizza and poppers arrived kind of cool in temperature. The garlic knots were protected with foil so it was still warm when it arrived. At room temperature the pizza wasn't bad. It was very light with a nice crust and bread. I wish there was a bit more basil than the 2 little pieces that are on one slice. I'm sure the pizza would taste better fresh out of the oven or re-baked. The jalapeno poppers were just ok 3/5. It was a slice of maybe pickled jalapenos with cream cheese and deep fried. The garlic knots were 3/5. The bread was soft and it came with some marinara sauce. It was covered in minced garlic. But I felt like it lacked a bit salt in the dough. The dough itself when you don't get a bite of the garlic bits was a bit plain. Will order again to try some of their other pizzas next time and maybe try take out.

Decent place to grab a quick slice. They have your regular slices and some specialty slices. They have salads, sandwiches, beef patties, garlic knots exc. Take out after covid. Typical pizza spot.

When you're in Brooklyn you have to get pizza, and it was close to the Airbnb. We all got a slice, there were several bbq / chipotle chicken choices, white and red sauces, etc. After trying several pizza in New York, this place had great variety, was quick and priced well. If you are close, add it to you list!

Love this place!!! Not far from my Condominium..,this place food is always HOT when I pick it up! Excellent personal, you can change food topping customer service in a safe neighborhood 2 blocks from a N.Y.P.D. station. The prices are great for New York Brooklyn, combined with size portions = a great balance for products.

Just ordered via uber eats and the disgust I have for this establishment is deep. Firstly, the chicken is literally stale and inedible. The pizza did not include the mushrooms that cost $5 to add. I requested the onions be cooked and they were not. There is no description for the cheesesteak pizza, but a slice of yellow american cheese melted on top is just trashy. The calamari was not only soggy for being poorly packaged but rubbery and overcooked inside. Additionally the marinara is flat and flavorless. I understand I made an order 1.5 hrs before closing but how dare they send this overpriced order out the door to mine in such poor taste and quality. If they weren't closed I would drive this horrific food back to them myself. Don't give me the end of the night garbage food like my money doesn't matter. I will never return or recommend this place. Run me my money back.

I loved it so much, I'm ordering again. I wish I had beer to enjoy this fully*le sigh*.

The calamari and shrimp were perfectly crispy, although I wish the portion included more than two shrimp. For drinks, I ordered the Lavinia, and it was excellent--a refreshing blend of tequila, lime, orange, and a nice touch of honey. For my entrée, I had the grilled pork chops, which were cooked perfectly. The pistachio gremolata added a unique burst of flavor that really elevated the dish. My friends ordered a variety of pasta dishes, which I tried and tasted good, and everyone enjoyed their meals. We ended with dessert and tried both the traditional tiramisu, which was very good, and the budino--a butterscotch pudding with pistachio gelato--which completely stole the show. It was absolutely amazing. Overall, a great dining experience, and I'd definitely return.

The…read morespace is a little small, so I would definitely recommend calling ahead for reservations, especially on weekends. Luckily, they were able to fit us in since we came early, but by 7p, it was a full house. We started off the calamari ($25), which was absolutely delicious. I prefer my calamari lightly breaded as I feel it prevents the breading from falling off. it was not too oily, and the calamari was tossed in an herby seasoning which by itself was fantastic. But, I highly recommend adding the fried cherry peppers and spicy cherry pepper sauce as the vinegary tartness will wake your taste buds up. For our entrées, we ordered the linguine di mare ($36), the eggplant parm ($21), and the porky pasta ($32) from the specials menu. The pasta were all cooked perfectly al dente and had a chewy, bouncy texture that was indicative of fresh pasta being used. I particularly enjoyed the porky pasta, which had braised ossobuco and crumbled sweet sausage in a red sauce-- it is bolder in taste compared to the linguine and the sauce is perfect for mopping up your bread with. This is not the say the linguine di mare was not good, as it had a very subtle natural sweetness from all the seafood. The eggplant parm also was a group favorite of the evening, with meaty slices of eggplant that melted in my mouth, sandwiched in between tons of cheese and marinara. I particularly appreciated that the eggplant wasn't breaded and that it also came with a side salad so it still felt somewhat healthy. The portions are very generous at Cavatappi, but we made sure to make stomach space for the cheesecake ($12) at our dining neighbor's recommendation-- they swore it was the best cheesecake around. I personally am not a huge cheesecake person, but I did enjoy it and found it milkier in flavor and lighter in texture compared to Junior's version. Overall, I really loved the food and service at Cavatappi and will definitely be returning in the near future. PS- There is a slight discount if you pay in cash!

Overall it was good, but the combination needed better balance. The gorgonzola had a pretty aggressive bite, and paired with the saltiness of the prosciutto it became a little much. There were some greens underneath, and once I incorporated those into each bite, they mellowed everything out considerably. I actually think the greens needed to be treated as part of the dish rather than essentially garnish. For my entrée I had the special, a risotto with clams and octopus. The octopus was easily the best part. The clams were extremely small and pretty average, to the point that I'm not sure they added much to the dish at all. The risotto itself was also surprisingly bland and not particularly enjoyable on its own. Mixed with the octopus, however, it worked much better and became a genuinely enjoyable bite. That's ultimately where the dish felt a little uneven: the strongest component was carrying the rest of the plate rather than everything working together. Service was fine when I arrived, but became noticeably slower once the outdoor seating filled up. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor sections, but appeared to have only two servers, with the hostess also serving and a barback supporting the operation. Once the patio got busy, most of the staff's attention shifted outside and the indoor dining room received considerably less attention. Nobody seemed lazy or inattentive individually. It simply looked understaffed for the number of tables they were trying to cover. One additional server during the busy period probably would have made a substantial difference. And, admittedly a minor thing, an Italian restaurant having limoncello but no amaretto was disappointing. Nothing here was terrible. The appetizer had good ideas, the octopus was quite good, and the meal had several enjoyable moments. The food and service were just inconsistent enough that I couldn't quite call it a strong three-star experience, but it was close. I'd put it around 2.75 stars, which I'm comfortable rounding to three.
