I can't believe I've lived within walking distance of such incredible pizza. Not the typical NYC slice shop, but rather, giving old school pan pizza (think sit down Pizza Hut), with elevated toppings and a great cocktail list. Came here with friends to dine in, and love the vibe immediately. Chill servers and bartenders, seems like a good spot to sit at the bar as well. Good sign that on a Wednesday, their carry out business was popping. We went with 4 pies, the vodka, the margarita, the truffle and the American (white sauce and chickens). The truffle and the All American were by far my favorites and I was so smitten with the gorgonzola and massive amounts of mushrooms and truffle. Yum. I loved the All American - think chicken alfredo pizza - wow. Also such a delicious bite with a really buttery sauce. So good. The vodka pie was also quite good and the margarita was the perfect execution of the margarita. The buttery pan pizza with that crunch on the crust brought me all the way back to finishing a book and getting a free pizza from the Hut. Came in on a pretty busy Saturday night and we felt extremely lucky to snag one of their tables! Rosie pizza bar is a cute and vibey pizza joint, I loved the ambiance inside. The drink menu was fantastic and the bartenders were attentive. We ordered up at the front and food came trickling out to us fresh and hot. I got the fancy pizza, I didn't like the huge basil leaves on top but I did enjoy the burrata cheese and thin crust. My friend got the chicken and white sauce pizza and he enjoyed it, the crust was significantly thicker than mine. The Mac n cheese balls were absolutely delicious I wish an order came with more! I went to Rosie's Pizza Bar on a weekday evening and it was just what I needed! We ordered the 14" Devil pizza ($21) which was just enough for 3 people. The toppings were incredible and this pizza has a nice kick to it. Unfortunately, the crust came out a little burnt but I'm interested in giving it another try. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They make good specialty cocktails (~$13) and have a good happy hour ($8 well drinks). Our food came out quickly and we spent the evening sitting outside on their front patio. Not pictured: Mac & cheese balls ($10). These are incredible. Rosie's Pizza Bar in Bushwick didn't quite work for me, but I can see why some might appreciate its particular style. Personally, I'm not a fan of cheeses with a nutty undertone, which seems to be their thing. I tend to prefer a more buttery, mellow cheese that complements the sauce and toppings, absorbing and blending flavors rather than overpowering them. Rosie's cheese, while undoubtedly rich in flavor, was sharp and assertive to the point where it clashed with my expectations of a classic slice. The crust was another sticking point for me. It was crispy--pan-fried, as advertised--but had this dense, chewy quality that reminded me of a soft pretzel, which threw me off. It lacked the airy crunch I usually associate with a good pan-fried pizza. Instead, it felt like biting into something that was trying to be two things at once but couldn't quite commit. I ordered two cheese slices and their slice of the day--a burrata pizza. The cheese slices didn't impress, and the burrata slice felt overcomplicated, with spinach haphazardly thrown on top and cheese that acted more like a thick adhesive than a creamy complement. I kept thinking how much I prefer pizza with toppings that work harmoniously, like jalapeños or buffalo chicken, where the richness of the cheese balances the tang and heat of the sauces. At Rosie's, the balance felt off. To be fair, the delivery through the Slice app was quick, and the pizza arrived in decent condition considering the distance to my Bed-Stuy address near Broadway and Gates. Again, I ordered via Slice, but glancing at the pizzeria, Rosie's establishment appears to be clean, inviting, and inclusive. I can't help but feel that dining in would offer a better experience than delivery. Perhaps the atmosphere and freshness of a straight-from-the-oven slice could change my perspective. But even fresh, I don't think these slices would've won me over. The flavors and textures just didn't align with what I enjoy in a slice. That said, I wouldn't completely rule out returning. Maybe if I'm in the area, or if someone invites me back, I'll give it another shot. Perhaps I wasn't in the right frame of mind to appreciate it fully. The pizza was incredible. Not NY style, but a pan pizza with a crust that is fluffy, perfectly crisped, yet soft. We were a big fan of Archie's pizza and was bummed it shut down. We were excited to find out a new pizza place would open at the same location and since a lot of the previous employees had returned, we thought the pizza would be similar. So when my husband and I came to the grand opening in July, we didn't initially enjoy the pizza, but we knew they were crazy busy so we wanted to give them some time before returning and leaving a review. We finally decided to order a large pepperoni on a Saturday night for pick up. It was ready in 20 minutes. I'm happy to say that it's very similar to Archie's. They cut the pizza in small squares (St Louis style) so it's great if you have to share with some friends. Pepperoni curled perfectly and just a right amount of cheese. I wish it was a little most saucey, but still very good. Overall I'll definitely order again! Will be my go to neighborhood pizza place again. One of my favorite pizza spots in Bushwick. I love ordering takeout, but it's also fun to dine in. They're open late and have a bar as well. Their pizza flavor combinations are fun and unique. I love getting the "Rosie" which is one of their signatures and apparently won the Las Vegas pizza expo. It has eggplants sautéed in cherry tomato sauce, mozzarella, spicy sausage, ricotta cheese, scallions, and Parmesan cheese. So unique and delicious! Generally speaking, I'm the person that goes for the crispiest fries in the basket, the ones that are low key oil holders. Idk what the technical term is, IYKYK. At Rosie, there was no hunting and pecking for the crispy ones. Each fry was consistently good: dense yet crispy and light, and oily but not greasy. Good flavor, "russety" but i did not verify the potato type. 10/10 recommend the fries. Oh, and I'm also generally a mayo/aioli person but the ketchup was perfect with these fries. I'm obsessed with Rosie's pizza bar. The pizza is so good. If you're wondering why it tastes familiar, it's because it tastes like an upscale Pizza Hut. But in no way is that a knock against Rosie's we eat here all the time. Many inventive topping combinations. You can also buy a slice, but at the price point you might as well buy the whole pizza. The burrata is excellent as well. So are the meatballs. There really is nothing to complain about here. Maybe the size of the establishment, but that's not their fault.
