We have been going here for years for the citrus heat tri-tip. Today we picked one up to bbq. Cooked it medium and after slicing, noticed it had a horrible smell and then it turned gray and looked moldy. Took the meat back and were met with horrible service - no acknowledgment or apology that we could have gotten sick and the inconvenience. Hope they do better and ensure they aren't selling spoiled meat, getting people sick, and improve their customer service. read more

I went there at 630 this evening. Ive always enjoyed an occasional tri tip sandwich there. I drove past and came back. The young man who waited on me and other clients did not have a mask, nor gloves. He touched my containers without gloves. I regretted stopping felt really worried. I disinfected what I could, threw the bread and containers out. Meat was great but the uneasyness made me so uncomfortable. I hope his manager reads this and corrects the problem. The ribs were just OK, we actually cooked them further in a steam tray to make them more fully cooked and tender, on the whole we were not that impressed with the BBQ. The meat market is absolutely amazing. The staff are nice, extra helpful, and fast. I can't say as much for the food window. The food is delicious and has never let me down. The service is the absolute worst! Don't come expecting to get out quickly. I placed my order 5 days ahead. They don't take payment over the phone. When I went to pick it up I waited about 30 minutes in 100 degrees+ weather to get my order. They have you wait in the order line to pay and instead of handing you your order at that time (since it's already ready) then they make you wait like you had just ordered. I am so sick to death about reading reviews lately where the customer only cares if they socially distanced or wore a mask, it's infuriating because it has nothing to do with their customer service or quality of meat. If you're afraid to go out then stay home. If people decide not to where a mask then let them I can protect myself by wearing one if I feel the need to. These reviews on all this social distances and mask wearing is just ridiculous. We cannot force people to do things. I want to know about the service and Quality of food and if the establishment is clean, are they following osha safety etc. not what the people are wearing or if they're too close to someone. We live in Idaho but are originally from visalia and tulare! We came home to visit and my sister had gotten some chicken from the store Chicken Breastsand it was SO GOOD!! We're headed back to Idaho and stopped in and bought a bunch of chicken and tri-tip to take back with us. The guy behind the counter was freakin great!
