So much to tell & not enough room here to do so. Came here for my birthday dinner. All was going very well. Excellent Server by the name of Kathryn E. SHE IS THE REASON FOR THIS AWESOME DINNER !!!!! Things were going well then they seated a single woman next to our booth who decided to blair her cell phone watching some kind of a show or concert. I asked my Husband what that noise was and he pointed to the booth next to us. I thought maybe she was hard of hearing. I felt bad because she was by herself in a nice steakhouse but once I mentioned it to our waitress she Immediately took action and asked this woman to turn her phone down. Our waitress was very pro active , but unfortunately this woman started playing her phone again very loudly. I didn't have the heart to complain after asking the waitress to move us the first time. I thought there's no way she turned it up again but in fact she did. It all worked out because shortly after that she left. I mentioned to my husband maybe she was hard-of-hearing but he very quickly replied, people have hearing aids when they're hard of hearing or they can wear earbuds She knew what she was doing. Service was fast and friendly. My husband and I both got the special which was a 22 oz porterhouse steak with 2 sides for $32.99. The steak was cooked exactly as we ordered it, the salad was fresh, the broccoli was cooked just how I like it, and my husband said the air gratin potatoes were good. The only thing that wasn't good, keeping it from 5 stars, was the bread. The bread used to be my favorite thing there. This time it was tough and seemed like it had been warmed in the microwave. I would think that this might be a one time mistake, but my mom said the last time she had it it was hard and not good. They may need to rethink how they're warming their bread. read more

Came here on a Thursday around dinner time with my family. We made reservations but it wasn't really needed because it wasn't crowded. We were seated in a comfy booth and greeted by our server Becka. Pretty cool that it was still "Happy Hour" and we ordered some appetizers and drinks from that menu. We ordered cheesey bread, loaded potatoes, drinks, and zucchini. Everything was delicious. Now on to the main event. My Father in law ordered the rib eye dinner. My son had a burger. My husband had the fried shrimp dinner. Last but not least I had the salmon dinner. Quoted 15 min wait to get seated and at least 35 mins was the actual. (They sat several parties before us and none appeared to have reservations- yes smaller parties but the restaurant was more than 1/2 empty.) Then our party of 5 adults and 2 teenagers seated in a booth- it was fine to sit but we could see table space was going to be an issue. Plenty of open tables so they pushed 2 together and we moved. Service was ok- sporadic it seemed as we'd go long periods without seeing the server. Then they charge a 3% fee for credit cards- didn't see a notice anywhere until the "service fee" appeared on the final bill- who brings over $300 cash (plus tip) to a restaurant to avoid a service fee? Just price the food - don't sneak in extra fees as a credit card is the norm for multi-hundred dollar transactions. read more

Tonight's dinner was special as we took our best friends out after she found out she was cancer free after a long treatment. As usual, we used our rewards member discount for the feast for two ( best deal of the house) My wife had her favorite, ribeye steak with baked potato and side of Mac and cheese, I , the salmon with their delicious rice and salad with chunky blue cheese dressing. The portions are so generous that we share the salad, eat half the food and take the other 1/2 home. Her steak was very tender and juicy and my salmon was flaky and cooked to perfection. Our server, Dana, was super friendly, and checked in just the right amount- we never felt rushed. We have a Black Angus back home (Oahu) but this location had a much larger menu and the food was fresh. The service was amazing and very attentive. We visit this restaurant often, for large family gatherings, but this last time we went the food was terrible. I am not sure why this time was different but my ribs were way over cooked and dry as well as the chicken breast that came with it. My mother ordered a French dip sandwich and she hated it. She said it was cold, soggy, and the meat had no seasoning. The only reason that I gave them any stars was the service, as always, it was outstanding. The servers were so nice and they worked their butts off because, I think, they were short staffed. The ambiance of the restaurant was the same as always, clean and roomy. We went here Saturday with my brother and his wife The service from start was ok. Once we sat down we didn't know what to order but they had a pretty good selection of items, we all ordered the summer steak deal they are advertising. With our food we tried strawberry lemon drop w/smirnoff vodka and I enjoyed a classic martini w/vodka. I don't know if it was because they had people here but the server took awhile for the bread which ended up cold, and they really messed up on my brother and his wife food and drinks. After that I even made eye contact with him twice but he still ignored me. After he'd made his second trip to the booth next to mine, not stopping by. Walked in Saturday night at 6pm, even though the parking lot was busy we were seated right away. Our server, Nancy, was fantastic! Every course perfectly timed, not rushed, but no long wait for food. We both order the fillet mignon, my husband's preference is rare, and his steak was cooked to perfection! My steak absolutely beautiful medium rare. They have some great deals right now, a very nice glass of wine for $5 or the whole bottle for $16. Even the regular free iced water was filtered- no nasty tap water taste. Recently my family started going to black angus. The first time was absolutely amazing. We had a great server we were sat in a quiet area and it was wonderful. The second time around we were sat at the bar and had a male waiter with gray hair. Possibly mid 40s. . We didn't catch his name but he was terrible. Despite asking for refills didn't refill our drinks and treated us like a burden. We chalked this experience to his lack of people skills despite being in a role that required people skills. The third time around was the final straw. It was our daughter's birthday so we were meeting at Black Angus for some dinner. I arrived prior to my husband and children so i request a table for 4 two adults two children. When I sat down they asked for drink orders. I ordered 2 waters and a kids orange and apple juice for the kids. When my family arrived all was well. The waitress we seemed great. Although she was spending a lot of time at tables of those who seemed to be regulars in between waiting on her tables. My daughter mentioned that her orange juice was burning her tongue and throat. I tasted it, and it was definitely carbonated and seemed to taste like a mimosa. I took the cap off to confirm my thoughts and it smelled just like a mimosa. My husband in disbelief took the drink from me and confirmed that it was in fact a mimosa. We flagged for the waitress and let her know that they may have mistakenly given our 6 year old a mimosa. Immediately a manager came by and the two began to gaslight us letting us know it was impossible to have given us a mimosa and instead they may have given us fermented orange juice. Without even picking up the juice at this point. They picked up the juice and said without a doubt this was fermented orange juice. They went to go check the bottle. And returned in attempt to reassure us- let us know the orange juice was prepared 7/8. Which was just 2 days prior to this incident. We understand mistakes happen, and we're thankful our daughter said something before continuing to drink the orange juice. But the dismissal and gaslighting was what had really upset us. As adults we know that fermentation of properly stored as a restaurant should be doing- does not take 2 days. And it definitely does not carbonate the drink. We have since reported them to the alcohol board for possible alcohol mishandling. And the health department for possible food storage violations. Taste tests all your children's drinks! Especially here! read more
