    Shrimp and Baked Potato

Growing up in South San Jose, Black Angus was always an aspirational restaurant for us. I'm happy to say that after 26 years, I got to treat my family to a large meal here! There was a 20 min wait time on a sunday night even with a reservation, which speaks to how much people seem to like it here! The booth we were seated at was cozy, and it felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant due to how well sound isolation is structured inside! I was impressed with the high level of service, the staff here truly do their best. The food was all around like a 7.5/10, but consistently good, and the atmosphere more than made up for it. I wasn't expecting top of the line food anyway, so I was still thoroughly happy with how there wasn't anything we didn't enjoy on the menu. What a special way to be able to celebrate Mom's birthday too. I was happy all around and genuinely enjoyed leaving a large gratuity, because it really felt like the team earned it. Thank you!!

Prime Rib Entree cooked medium rare. So good dipped in au jus and creamy horseradish sauce.

Had dinner here on a Sunday evening with my family for my mom's 86th birthday. We had a reservation, and they seated the seven of us comfortably at a large corner table. The restaurant was packed and noisy. We had the best waiter. He was attentive and cracked jokes continuously. When he found out it was my mom's birthday he offered to bring her a couple different free desserts, but she didn't want one. I like the menu because you get to select your own side dishes to go with the entree from a long list of delicious items. I ordered the 12 oz. prime rib with a baked potato and salad. The prime rib, cooked medium rare, came with horseradish sauce and au jus. The potato had butter, chives, and sour cream on it. The dressing for the salad was a delicious honey mustard. Everything was very good. Others ordered the New York strip steak, salmon, and BBQ ribs. The food arrived quickly and everyone enjoyed their meal. This Black Angus location has been around for a long time. I used to go dancing there with friends thirty years ago when it was a popular nightclub in addition to a dining establishment. I think the dance floor is now covered with tables. I've always been able to count on Black Angus for a delicious meal and it's nice to see that hasn't changed.

    Bar area.

Slow slow slow slow service. Super bad experience. Deliberately incompetent. Drunk bartender. Very unprofessional Staff. Won't return. Fail Fail fail. The kitchen staff brought out some great tasting food. The service overshadowed any culinary redemption. Bar and waitress were the derailing components.

A pandemic loss in Vallejo caused a feeling of going to see who was still making it in San Jose. One place I had missed was Black Angus... which we need back cause it was a pretty decent steakhouse. Ended up here on Veteran's day, so it was crazy packed. Hasnt changed its decor...good ol' rustic layout. It was a good ending to the day! Ciao for now. ...

Love Black Angus ,,, this Black Angus is still fantastic. The restaurant is clean , lots of space and always active . The service is amazing and food never disappoints, I wish we lived closer but we definitely try and stop in every time we are in the San Jose area .

Came about 10 minutes before our reservation and checked in. They were extremely busy, people without reservations were being quoted a 1 hour 30 minute wait, so good thing we booked ahead. Even with a reservation, we were seated about 13 minutes late. Service was rough. Slow to get our drinks, slow to get a server to take our order. It felt like they might have been short‑staffed. There were plenty of empty tables, but the staff just couldn't keep up. Food, at least, was consistent. We ordered the Campfire Feast, but they were out of mixed vegetables and out of asparagus, which was disappointing. We ended up with the wedge salad, Brussels sprouts, green beans, ribeye, and prime rib. Overall, the food was fine, but the service really dragged the experience down.

Kids steak meal is a good portion but it's a pretty tough sirloin

Came here with the family and we were using Inkind so we had to spend $150 to get $50 back. Hence, we ordered quite a bit of food. I was OK with the meal. Service is standard and you get that chain restaurant feel. We came on a Friday around 8p. No wait. Here are my ratings: Food (3.5 stars) + 16oz Prime rib was cooked perfectly and it's not bad. It just doesn't come close to House of Prime Rib. The au jus is some form of gravy which is a bit disappointing. (4 stars) + Brussel sprouts appetizer is very good. It is one of the better Brussel sprouts I've had but didn't care for the blue cheese. (4 stars) + Ribeye steak is likely choice grade which is not bad but I'm used to prime so it's just OK for my high standards. Loaded baked potato is quite filling and green beans were perfect compliments. (3.5 stars) + Kids steak is a tough sirloin cut that could use more seasoning. It's a good portion but I had to cut the steak for my daughter. I prefer Sizzler's kids steak because they're seasoned well and more tender for sirloin. (2.5 stars) - BBQ ribs were huge and we didn't have room to eat it so we took it home. We had to slap on our own bbq sauce and air fry it. It actually tasted good at home. The bite I did take when it was fresh at the restaurant was nearly inedible. (2 stars) - Artichoke appetizer isn't my thing. I didn't even know where to start eating the leaf. My wife showed me but I still couldn't enjoy it. However she did like it though. (2 stars) Service/Ambiance (4 stars) + Our server was fine. I can't remember her name but she understood our plan to maximize the Inkind deal. + When you get $150 of food for just over $100 it's a win. The bbq ribs were enough for lunch the next day. + I haven't been to a Black Angus in like 25 years but not much have changed other than our taste buds and waistline have grown. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing.

This place is spacious and service is excellent. Our waiter is very attentive and friendly. We ordered the meal for two with appetizer, two entrees and a dessert. The crab cake is a very good size and delicious. The steak (filet mignon) is cooked properly and tasty. The carrot cake is good too. Overall a very good experience and excellent food that's reasonably priced. This is the only Black Angus that's still around in the South Bay. Somehow the other ones in Milpitas and Sunnyvale all closed down unfortunately. We'll definitely return to support this location and want this one to stay open.

I've been here a few times and haven't been disappointed so far I strongly recommend making reservations as it can be pretty busy & the wait time can vary from 20-60 minutes. My go to appetizer will always be the calamari strips. They're absolutely crunchy and delicious, especially with the sauce that's provided. I decided to get their Filet & Surf ($53.99) it came with a 6oz. Filet Mignon, two lobster tails & two sides! For that price and the amount of food that I received was definitely well spend. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasteful. My partner's ribeye steak was tender and juicy. It was made to perfection. The service wasn't bad either, they take your order, check in once or twice which is nice in order to not feel forgotten. The environment is nice and quiet. Lights aren't too bright which is always a plus in my eyes. I will be coming back soon & recommend this to anyone.

The steak didn't taste fresh, and my broccoli had a light brown color instead of being bright green. Even the mashed potatoes were off--they had a strange canned or processed smell and didn't taste fresh at all. Overall, nothing on the plate felt fresh. On top of that, we waited a very long time for our food, and it definitely wasn't worth the wait. Very disappointing experience, especially for the price. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We've been back here a few times to order takeout and the quality and presentation has improved dramatically. So, I am updating my review. The service is great and welcoming. My wife enjoys the Buffalo & Ranch Grilled Chicken Sandwich: grilled chicken or crispy chicken tenders, chipotle-Buffalo sauce, ranch made in-house, lettuce, tomato, brioche bun (4/5). The chicken is tender and moist. Rodeo Ripper Combo Meal: 8 oz certified Angus Beef hand formed patty, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, onion rings, pickles, and house made bbq sauce, served on a buttered and toasted brioche bun (4/5). This was a tasty burger. I wish they added more bbq sauce, but it was still tasty and cooked to order.

It's been several years since the family and I visited this place! This was a childhood memory when my family wanted to go out for dinner. We made reservations on a Thursday evening at 5:30 pm and it was quiet yet with older diners already enjoying their meals. They have a private parking lot, so you don't need to worry about that. Once we arrived, we were sat immediately to a booth. We were planning to get the Campfire Dinner, but we arrived at the right time for their lunch specials and happy hour menu which lasts until 6 pm. We got some happy hour appetizers and lunch specials. Our waitress, Jennifer was a delight! She was attentive, cordial, and diligent with our orders. Great service and hospitality. We got 3 appetizers for our picky eater - 3 Cheese Garlic Bread: warm, toasted and so cheesy and crunchy - Garlic Pepper Fried Zucchini: very refreshing and light fry that made it crispy outside and still moist on the inside. Paired well with ranch and honey mustard - Chicken Tender: the staple for picky eaters As for the adults, - Grilled Chicken with side of grilled asparagus: great piece of meat, nice sauce on top and cooked good! - Baked Potato Soup: not too salt, warm, and lots of potatoes! - 6 oz Sirloin: cooked correct to medium rare, tender, great flavor that paired well with mashed potatoes Great experience and good food!

Server was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food was a different story. The prime rib that we were served did not seem fresh. I ordered it medium, and while it was red on the outside, the inside was dry and very light pink instead of being juicy. Overall, the disappointing food overshadowed the service. We were ready to leave.

The staff here are really nice and helpful too. They even give you complimentary containers of their salt rub. My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

From the moment we checked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and making a reservation about a month in advance definitely paid off since the restaurant was packed. For starters, we ordered the fried chicken & cornbread and the summer peach salad. The chicken and cornbread were easily a 10/10 super crispy, well seasoned, and the cornbread was rich and buttery. The peach salad with friend goat cheese (YUM!) was really fresh and bright, a nice lighter dish to balance out everything else. I also had a glass of rose. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely excited to help us experience the best of the menu. When we asked Luke for his recommendations, he absolutely delivered. We ordered the pork fried rice, and wow... 10/10! It was packed with flavor and is something I still think about. For our main course, Luke recommended the chef's choice preparation of the Chateaubriand, and it was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and one of the best steaks we've ever had. For appetizers, we ordered multiple rounds of the chilled oysters, a non-negotiable whenever my husband and I dine somewhere that serves fresh oysters. They were incredibly fresh and delicious. The cocktail menu was just as impressive. Every drink had its own unique flavor profile and beautiful presentation, making each one feel like an experience of its own. Hats off to the bartender. For the food, we headed straight to the hot food in the kitchen area where it was well presented and displayed. We had terrific Crispy Ribs, Salmon, Prime Rib, Beef Wellington, and Clam Chowder. There are many other choices and selections of foods which is all based on your personal preference. You definitely won't be disappointed. The Prime Rib and Clam Chowder were top notch and exquisite. We also tried their seafood station which included oysters, shrimp, fish, and crab. Those were good. The caviar station was nicely displayed with the different types of caviar. The caviar, with our understanding and perception, was a disappointment. It lacked true flavor, character, and ambience. But the dessert station was brilliant, impressive, and awe-inspiring. We tried a variety of cakes, the creme brulee, boba, mille-feuille, chocolate mousse, and they were terrific. Carlton brought out my daughter's birthday presentation and it is definitely something to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed the brunch and expert service from Carlton. Overall, an excellent experience with terrific food and and excellent service! Buongiorno!

The whole waiting in line was a hard concept for me to abide by. I think it was when I went when it was opening and they forgot to put the ticket numbers out. I usually have someone who frequents there get us a table. There's no host to get a table. Some concept written on the pillar. It is very expensive but it is a steakhouse. I would get the ribeye and it's cooked to perfection. Sometimes I get the ribs but I like ribeye steak. The side dishes are good and appetizers are delicious. I really love the baked potato and salad. Oh my goodness, salad were fresh. I love my baked garlic bread with the tomato sauce. They gave a back yard which is great for an amazing Californian weather. The kids love the tomato sauce with the bread so that's a hit with the picky eaters in our group. I would go here if your group likes meat or from out of town.

I took my parents to Fleming's for lunch on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026. My server's name is Haro. Haro is an awesome server: provided recommendations, attentive to details, verified and communicated back to the customers to ensure service is at top speed and quality. Examples: * My dad was going to order the Prime Spinalis Ribeye Cap; however, the restaurant was out of the ribeye cut and hence, Haro recommended the Wagyu Surf & Turf dish, which completely "wow" my dad. * My mom wants to order the Barbeque Salmon Fillet, but she was concerned there may be diary as she is allergic to dairy products. Haro informed the chef of the concern and confirmed back with us that the barbeque glaze does contain diary. But fear not, as this rockstar chef created an impromptu dish with salmon that made my mom happy and satisfying. Another shout-out to Haro's superb service is during dessert time. We were so full that I didn't plan on ordering dessert, but my love for Fleming's Chocolate Lava Cake made me order anyway. With sweets, I had to order black coffee. Dad decided to get coffee too after hearing how Fleming's freshly coffee is good. When mom saw the coffee, she wanted to try it as well. We asked Haro for another cup, but instead of just a cup, Haro came out with another freshly brewed coffee and stated it is for my mom and on the house. These little things will let you see what makes a good server versus an outstanding server. Furthermore, Haro also asked if we drink. Dad can, but neither me nor my mom drink. With this knowledge, Haro came out with another surprise: 1 champagne with alcohol for dad and 2 virgin champagnes for mom and me. The champagne completely took my breath away as it was that good! My parents were in awe as well! Splendid service!! Dishes ordered: * Appetizers: Crab Cakes, Sweet Chili Calamari, Thai Green Beans, Sauteed Mushrooms * Main Course: * Steamed Ginger Seabass ginger-soy sesame broth, carrot-leek-scallion sauté, fresno chili, cilantro 360 cal | 57 * Barbeque Salmon Fillet mushrooms, barbecue glaze * Wagyu Surf & Turf 7oz Australian Carrera Wagyu Strip topped with black garlic sauce, crab fried rice, crispy tempura shrimp, gochugaru flakes * Desserts & Drinks: * Chocolate Lava Cake (rich chocolate cake with a molten center of callebaut belgian chocolate, served with premium vanilla ice cream & house-made tuile) * Freshly Brewed Coffee * Champagne (on the house) * Iced Tea * Strawberry Lemonade

We sat at the bar, where Nate (the bar manager), Skyler, and Juanita absolutely crushed it. They were attentive, personable, hilarious, and somehow managed to all be ridiculously good-looking. Coincidence? I think not. When we realized we wanted to catch the last game of the NBA Finals outside, Juan, the evening manager, was more than happy to move us to the patio. That kind of flexibility and hospitality goes a long way. Great drinks, great vibes, and an even better team. They made us feel like regulars, even though it was my dad's first visit (my second visit). We'll definitely be back!

The diavola pasta had a great texture and a flavorful sauce, although it felt a little simple since there weren't many other ingredients mixed in. The crispy brussels sprouts weren't for me, not very crispy and a bit hard. The gelato was much better than I expected and ended up being a nice way to end the meal. The service was great though and the lighting inside nice! Overall, the meal was a bit hit-or-miss, but I'd come back to try more of the pizzas since those were definitely the highlight

You order at the counter, get a number, pick where you want to sit, and they bring the food to you. Even before my food came out, I noticed a weird, unpleasant sour smell in the air while sitting down. The food came out pretty fast and the prices were pretty fair, but overall the food quality wasn't great. Grilled Grass Fed Steak - $22.99 Rating: (3/10) It hurt a little when I ordered and the cashier at the front didn't ask me how I wanted the steak cooked. They even ask at Chili's how you'd like your steak done. The steak was cooked medium (a bit overcooked for my liking) and was pretty dry toward the side pieces. I also think there needed to be a bit more seasoning variety than just salt and pepper, since it tasted pretty bland. The fries were okay, a bit too salty and under fried. A lot of the bites I had were filled with massive salt crystal chunks. But the real meal and dish killer was the brussels sprouts. First off, it looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The brussels sprouts were way undercooked. The balsamic dressing was unpalatable, purely a bad balsamic vinaigrette, overwhelmingly harsh with a throat burning sourness that overpowered the dish rather than balancing it. It also tasted like sugary corn syrup mixed with harsh vinegar, coating veggies in a sticky, cloying film. Looking back, that pungent vinaigrette could be what I was smelling in the air before my food even came out.

We ordered: Cesar salad, fried stuffed squash blossoms, chicken parm, filet minon, New York strip steak, potato smash with horseradish and candied carrots as sides. All the protein mains were literally cooked to perfection. My filet was so tender and juicy, and the sides went so well with it. We topped off our evening with espresso martinis and the mocha mousse which was also very decadent.
