Last year I spent 3 months in Italy that changed my view of Italian food forever. This is the best Italian restaurant I have found since I've been back. OF COURSE they make everything from scratch and import a number of ingredients from Italy. Hands down the best tiramisu outside of Italy, FABULOUS service from Juliana, and we were also entertained by another server who sang. Come here for date night, for a company dinner, to celebrate your birthday, you will not be disappointed! It was very warm on the day that we went and I wish that we had sat inside. They are at the first restaurant at the west end of Campbell Avenue leading into the downtown strip. This means lots of street parking and options to exit the area without having to drive down Campbell Ave.

Enjoyed a great dinner date with my husband here about a week ago. We were in the area and we were fans of their willow glen location so we decided to stop by for dinner. Loved the fritto misto, lasagna and the trofie al pesto. Everything was so so so delicious. Definitely will be back when in Campbell again.

We came here to celebrate my parents' birthday, and it was an absolute hit! The food was amazing from start to finish, but the hospitality was even better. Our server, Juan D, truly went above and beyond to make the evening special. He was attentive, warm, and made sure everything was absolutely perfect for the celebration. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. Thank you, Juan, and the whole team for a memorable night!

Mother's Day dinner at Italian restaurant @ Campbell . It is home cooked meals in an upscale environment. I love the lobster Ravioli ( filled with Maine lobster and asparagus) top with Tiger prawn in homemade orange sauce . Fresh Mediterranean Sea bass filet & capers in a lemon butter sauce , served with fresh garden vegetables. Appetizers: Fritto Misto is deep fried Monterey calamari, tiger prawn , artichoke , zucchini & chef 's capri sauce . So so delicious We have also ordered the Trofie Al Pesto V ( homemade twisted shirt pasta , basil & pine nuts pesto ,pistachios, tomato confit , & parmigiana - Reggiano chips . That was my least favorite. All the pasta dishes are homemade by the Naples - born chef and restaurateur Enzo Rosano . Along with his brothers , this is the newest of the seven " Locanda"restaurants located throughout the Bay Area. The interior design is very elegant with a painted ceiling . If it is your birthday, the waiter would come to your table and sing with his opera voice ! Excellent service . Our waiter Ernesto P checked on us often and brought us drinks and food in a short time . He was very very helpful. They have a small parking lot with 2 handicap parking . Lots of parking on the street too . But you should allow yourself 15 minutes early for parking . They always have a line and the table will be given to the next cutoff you are late .

Always a Campbell favorite! We came here for mothers and had a wonderful dinner. We arrived with no reservation but before the dinner we rush. We were seated right away. I always love the bright decorations and costal vibes. They had some extra flowers around for the holiday. All of our food was amazing. My person favorite was the coppa di Sorrento. It's the perfect leon dessert

overall the food is great, ambience is good, and they have someone take photos ($22 per photo and frame). we happened to come during lots of birthday celebrations so it was pretty loud and hard to hear others talk got the: - fritto misto - pretty crispy, a large assortment of calamari, shrimp, zucchini, and anchovy, dipping sauce is an olive sauce, which I thought was more unique, but would've preferred tartar or something like that - cacio e pepe - they mix the noodles in a Parmesan wheel in front of you and serve it on a plate, it was good, the noodles had very intense Parmesan flavor and were salted well. Portions are a bit small, and I was a bit worried about the sanitariness since the wheel is reused and uncovered at times but maybe this is normal and I'm unaware of it - pollo parmigiana - chicken was breaded well and crispy, flavored with marinara sauce, a healthy choice with vegetables overall we left satisfied with the food, though you are probably paying slightly more for the ambience and cheese wheel presentation

Here is my PSA. Come here for the gnocchi. Even fact, order two of them. You'll thank me later. Oh, the service, vibe, and overall dining experience was wonderful too.

Here's the review: --- (3/5) Locanda Sorrento is adorable -- the Santorini-themed interior is really cute and the service was lovely. Came specifically for the parmesan wheel pasta experience and it delivered on the spectacle watching them toss the Cacio e Pepe inside a giant wheel of parmesan is genuinely fun to see. Taste-wise though, both the Cacio e Pepe and the pizza skewed a little too salty and cheesy for my liking. The silver lining -- portion sizes are huge, so it's great for sharing and you'll definitely leave full. Worth a visit for the vibe and the experience!

Mangia bene! That's Italian for "eat well" and that's exactly what you'll do when you come here. This simple, little restaurant is actually rich & bold in authentic Italian flavors, and big in terms of heart & spirit. And although it looks adorably tiny from the outside, it's actually quite spacious inside with 2 different dining rooms and a full bar (plus outside tables too). Our server Ernesto was fantastic! Our table of 6 (including my Italian in-laws) appreciated his excellent customer service and kindness. He went above & beyond, and we all got to practice our Italian as well since he himself is from Napoli (Naples). Grazie mille Ernesto! Also, the man can SING! We heard him sing Happy Birthday to a couple of other tables when we were there, and then he serenaded our table with a beautiful rendition of 'O Sole Mio. My Spaghetti al Pomodoro was perfection, my husband's Trofie al Pesto was to die for, father-in-law loved his Lobster Ravioli, and there were 3 orders of their Cacio e Pepe for the rest of the table. Throw in the Brussels Sprouts and Bruschetta for apps, and Tiramisu and Cannoli for dessert shared around the table. Everything was absolutely delicious, and authentic. I must mention that the cocktails were also flowing at our table (Negronis anyone?), so...yeah, bring your appetite and be transported to Italy from little Downtown Campbell!

Food is good here. However service could be better. Everytime I come here the servers are not that friendly. Last night I dined in the big private room with my friends and even though the room was reserved for 2 hours they kept rushing us. We were clearly still working on our food but they kept asking us if we want boxes and check??? Also it was pretty hot in the room so we asked if there was ac and instead of answering us the server just opened the back door wide open and closed the curtain. Please provide better customer service training!!

We came here for dinner. Normally we would go to the other location in Willow Glen. But they were closed for a private party. This location turned out to be just as good. The food always tastes fresh. The waiter went above and beyond. The Frito mistbo was super lite and not greasy. We felt like the lasagna had less meat than the other location We were to full for dessert.

Some of the food was delicious and some was OK. The service was excellent and the restaurant is so cute! It's decorated for Christmas right now. Although it still looks really nice without the extra decor. There is a small lot behind the restaurant and a good amount of street parking. There were bugs in our drink and flying around which was disappointing. When leaving we noticed the back door was open which could be the reason. We ordered: - Bruschetta: bread was too thick (like 2") for my taste but had good flavor. - Beet Salad: good portion and tasted good. - Gnocchi: delicious! Good portion and great flavor. It's a red creamy and cheesy sauce. So good. - Linguine Del Golfo: Ok. The pasta was good but was not a fan of the sauce. I would have appreciated a more creamy sauce but that's my preference. - Panna Cotta: this was OK. The sauce was better than the panna cotta. - Soufflé: this was only OK as well. I didn't taste a crust and the chocolate was not very tasty. The gelato was good.

Don't Leave or I'll Tira-miss-u One of seven "Locanda"** restaurants located throughout the Bay Area that are all locally-owned by Naples-born chef and restaurateur Enzo Rosano. Along with his brothers, they've started quite the legacy of restaurants serving up home-cooked Italian food in an upscale environment. This location is just on the outskirts of Downtown Campbell is a great place for date nights, anniversaries, or birthdays. We came to celebrate the latter, as it was a belated birthday for my sister. The Good: *Fantastic service by Carlo. He knows how to wait on a party. 10/10 *Décor and ambiance were perfect. I did see some sorta strange lighting in some Yelp photos, but maybe that's later, as we eat early. Cuz, you know, we're old and shit. *Full bar and beer on-tap *Pizza was on-point and had great flavor. I did have only one slice, but it was pretty darn good. *Probably the best Eggplant Parmigiana I've *ever* had. I liked that the eggplants weren't battered and fried so the dish as a whole felt more fresh and light, as opposed to how Eggplant Parm usually makes you feel heavy and bad. *Housemade Limoncello was outstanding. Ask for a sample. *Tiramisu was tasty but could've used a bit more coffee flavor if I had a minor gripe. *Panna Cotta was fantastic. Just perfectly soft and custardy with a nice vanilla base. The Meh: *Small private lot and some street parking--but read the signs! *The special Artichoke app was just whatever. I'm not a fan of peeling the leaves, dipping, and scraping. I mean it's OK, but a bit undignified in public. The Ugly: *My drink was very weak and didn't feel particularly balanced. If I'm paying $15 for a drink, I want a buzz dammit! #borracho Conclusion: Fantastic authentic Italian cuisine with terrific service and an amazing ambiance. Highly recommended. **All the restaurants have different names but all have "Locanda" at the beginning.

On my most recent trip, our reservation unexpectedly grew by a few people, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We really appreciated how hard they worked to make it happen! No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.

Fried calamari - if you enjoy bigger calamari rings with thin crispy breading, this place does it well! Comes with 1 red sauce and their green tangy aioli. The portions were pretty good on this dish as well 3. Mac and cheese truffle bites - these were huge! I was expecting them to be as small as top golf's balls are haha but it comes with 3 huge balls. The pasta noodle itself was cooked to perfection, al dente and not super mushy. I was pleasantly impressed with this one and it came with the same green aioli sauce 4. Tomahawk steak - $7 each, honestly this is a confusing one. I was expecting steak bites similar to how a regular carne asada taco is, but it came in one huge chunk of meat, which wasn't even the best quality or cooked well. During my time there, I observed a male manager or supervisor interacting with staff in a way that came across as rude, disrespectful, and belittling. Witnessing an employee being spoken to that way in front of guests created an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflected poorly on the overall experience. What made the situation even more disappointing was that after speaking to staff in this manner, the manager spent what appeared to be an extended period of time outside the front of the restaurant talking on his cellphone instead of being present on the floor. I believe employees deserve to be treated with respect, especially in front of guests. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as leadership sets the tone for both the workplace and the guest experience.

My husband and I had a baby free night out to celebrate my birthday and haberdasher did not disappoint. We went soon after opening so there was no line but I know they tend to have one later in the evening. We were greeted warmly at the door by the attendant who checked our ids. I was even wished a happy early birthday. When going into the bar, you walk down a staircase into a space that makes you forget you're in downtown San Jose with beautiful reds and burgundy decor. The staff is all smartly dressed; the bartender and bar back were both sweet and funny. I ordered a jack rose (my all time favorite), their seasonal watermelon waltz (this may be a new favorite for me, nice and refreshing) and one of their zero proof cocktails called a Mariposa which was soooo good as well. My husband ordered a couple old fashioned and a watermelon waltz for himself. We had an amazing time and look forward to coming back in the future.

And they don't allow outside food in even if the food was leftover in Togo bags from dinner. The place was busy when we finally went inside. But the bartenders were fast and we got two rounds of drinks as far as we could order. The dim lighting did look reddish. The large tables were reserved but there plenty of smaller high tops around. Memorable drinks were the perfect pear and the Andean Ascent. Perfect pear was not fruity at all and had a nice aroma and spice to it. The Andean ascent was a nice drink to start with, refreshing with a bit of fizz.
