Joined my sweet aunt for a brunch in Willow Glen & almost missed this treat! STACKS has a menu for gluten-free (GF) folks. What?! My auntie is the happiest woman on the planet. She no longer has to ask a million questions or worry that food might be unsafe. The GF menu is HUGE - almost the exact same size as the regular menu and there's no reason to 'skip the bun' because the bun is GF. Next question... does it taste good? Of course! Price is really fair for the large portions, too. Auntie had a burger with bun + sweet potato fries. That means the fry vat is safe, too!! We'll return. I had the crab omelet with plenty of GF items - not really, but I ordered from the regular menu. I can't have soy. I was feeling a little yuck afterwards, so something had soy on my plate. It's okay. I'll use more care next time I order. BTW... that omelet with fruit & potatoes was DELISH. Al fresco seating, if you desire. Clean bathrooms. Large dining room. Great service. Delicious food and good service. Really impressed with the serves abilities to anticipate needs and ask great questions an additional while ordering and during check ins. The food is cooked well and seems to be good quality. The chicken sandwich was quite thin on the protein, but breakfast comes with a lot of additions. My egg was a little more cooked than I would've preferred based on the cook. Overall great option with really small things that could be altered to be 10/10. Def recommend getting the pancakes! Good food with great service. They've got so many great gluten free options--with an entire gluten free menu. We visited and they have a lovely outdoor space. It was so inviting and comfortable. Tried Stack's new location in Willow Glen. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean and modern. I had the hot link, mushroom and onion skillet. This was a heavy breakfast. It tasted good at first, but as you kept eating it, the saltiness overpowered it. I love brunch! First time at this location. Nice that there's a parking lot. There's street parking, too, if you get lucky on a busy day. Place is decent size with a nice patio. Within 5 minutes - we were seated at our table, had full glasses of water, and even placed our order! The hardest thing was deciding on what to order. I decided on French toast with fresh strawberries, bananas, whipped cream, and Nutella! Soooo good. I forgot to ask for Nutella on the side (not a huge fan) but it had just the right amount. Large serving, too. Nice saturation and still fluffy. The whipped cream was so yummy, didn't really need syrup at all. The syrup served warm was a nice treat. Hubby ordered a hot link omelet which he really liked. Came with a buttered bagel. His potatoes were a little over cooked but I liked them. And yes, I ate them off his plate. :D Can't wait to go back. They have mimosa flights that I want to try. Large breakfast menu so I'm also excited to try other items! We really enjoyed the burrito, it was hot, cheesy, and generous with the avocado. The lemon ricotta pancakes were alright, the felt a little dry since the raspberry sauce was on the side and not a large amount, and the ricotta was quite grainy. Stacks is now in the South Bay, and I couldn't be happier! I've been eagerly waiting for this classic breakfast/brunch spot to open closer to home, in the Willow Glen neighborhood. For our meal, I ordered takeout--a crab omelet with a side of potatoes and a biscuit--while my mom got the Popeye's omelet with the same sides. Since this location just opened, I tried to be patient with the delays. However, when my mom initially called to place the order, no one answered, so she had to order online instead. When I arrived to pick up the food, it was busier outside than inside, with minimal staff at the front desk. After waiting a few minutes, I finally got our order. The service could use some improvement, but it's understandable given that they just opened. The ambiance was pleasant--not too loud, with windows and doors open to the street--creating a typical modern breakfast/brunch, family-oriented dining atmosphere. As for the food, the crab omelet was surprisingly good, with real crab meat and a tasty, creamy cheese topping. The biscuit was fluffy, though it didn't come with any jams or butter. My wife has recently discovered she has celiac disease, meaning she can't have gluten/wheat. Our family has been trying to figure this thing out. I've tried Stacks at the Campbell location so I was excited to see another open in Willow Glen. The patio is spacious enough to have multiple dogs on the patio. It's open so doesn't feel stuffy. The service and food were very prompt (low key mad at myself that I forgot to bring home my leftovers because I ordered the crepe last minute...). All the food was delicious and filling! I was surprised to learn I was able to order a single crepe, instead of the advertised two from their menu. I know the location just opened, but open to trying it in the future as they continue to establish themselves in the neighborhood. Appreciate that there is a dedicated gluten free menu and plant based menu, unsure if celiac friendly though. For once I felt like I could order anything from a menu! In the future, I would opt to sit outside or the area close to the patio where it's brighter with better ventilation. As you get inside, it just feels unlit and stuffy. My family and I love Stacks in Campbell and super excited to learn that they took over this space for breakfast in Willow Glen! It makes perfect sense as Black Sheep Brasserie is usually only open for dinner service. This downtown area has a lot of eateries, especially breakfast spots but knowing the quality from a different location, we recently tried and visited. We went on a Saturday at noon, couple weeks ago. We got seated right away (3 adults, 1 kid and 1 high chair toddler). They provided the necessary coloring sheets for the kids and they shared crayons. Their menu is massive! With tons of offerings and caters to different dietary needs. Although, we ordered our usuals: Classic Eggs Benedict Eggs Louie Benedict All Meat Omelette Kids Mickey Pancake - always a hit with the kiddos! Kids Scrambled Eggs with the 2 slices of bacon and toast Orange juice Mimosa Their hashbrowns are just my absolute favorite. The way they shred it and saute with onions (I don't even like onions!!!) and mix with the buttery hollandaise - YUM. We thoroughly enjoyed the service - the mimosa refills came when needed, our server made sure the kids' foods came first and always so nice to chat with them. We loved our rainy morning breakfast inside the festive atmosphere at WG Stacks. We were seated immediately and offered coffee. Our server was friendly and greeted us immediately with menus and our drink order. My husband had the huevos rancheros which was a generous portion of delicious beans, cheese, tortillas and chicken apple sausage. Yes - they were able sub chicken for the chorizo! It came with a side of potatoes that were "shaved" and browned to perfection. I had the veggie and cheese omelette that also came with the perfectly seasoned potatoes and I subbed toast for the bagel - delicious! I took my wife to breakfast here and noticed how crowded the parking lot was even though hardly anyone was in the restaurant, very inconvenient . I always order eggs Benedict when trying out a new restaurant and mine was NOT VERY GOOD. first serving muffin was burnt and eggs were hard boiled not poached and there was not hint of lemon in the hollandaise. In addition my potatoes were cold. My wife's toast was not even toasted!. When my 2nd plate arrived after showing these issues to manager, eggs were poached but placed on a raw , not toasted English muffin, potatoes still cold and sauce not made in the traditional way. Bacon avocado omelette. This is the best omelette I have ever eaten, hands down. It's a large omelette and I finished 98% of it which is unheard of. Throughout the meal I kept wishing I wouldn't get full, so I could continue eating and enjoying it. There is a solid amount of bacon and avocado inside, with the perfect amount of cheese melted in and sour cream on top. The salsa on the side really brought it all together, along with the hash-browns that were perfectly cooked -- crisp and tender in one.
