The biggest disappointment was the customer service. The woman who took our order was friendly, but beyond that, the experience fell flat. We understand they were busy and constantly making drinks, but being busy doesn't have to mean ignoring customers. While we were waiting, there was little to no acknowledgment from the staff. When I asked about our fourth drink, there was no response. An employee went to the register, appeared to check our order, then made the missing drink. She placed it with the others without saying a word or acknowledging the mistake. The lack of communication and friendly interaction left a poor impression. Good coffee is easy to find, but great customer service is what brings people back. Unfortunately, that was missing from our experience.

Our drinks came out quickly too. I ordered iced lattes and really enjoyed them, but THE CROISSANT. I am a croissant person, and this was genuinely one of the best croissants I've ever had. Thick, buttery, soft, delicious bread and not even remotely dry. My kids loved them too, and I appreciated that each one came packaged in its own little container instead of just being thrown into a bag. They were also playing worship music every time I was there -- Abbie Gamboa and SEU and several artists I already love which made me enjoy the atmosphere even more. I also noticed when ordering at the tablet that they give you an option to donate to a local family in need, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. The staff didn't seem very welcoming, and the interactions felt rushed. Since not all of the doughnut flavors were visible, we asked if a specific one was available, and it felt like our question was more of an inconvenience than anything else. We also noticed similar interactions with other customers while we were there. Our coffee order wasn't prepared quite right either, and the overall experience just didn't have the friendly, upbeat atmosphere we've come to expect from Parlor. We'll definitely continue visiting Parlor Doughnuts because the food is consistently excellent, but this particular location didn't leave the same impression that Jacksonville has. My partner ordered a side salad that she was raving over (spring mix w/tomato and champagne vinagrette). We also had fried green tomatoes which were perfect, French toast bites, and an egg platter with potatoes and bacon. Everybody enjoyed their meals and drinks.
