Just a consistent breakfast every time, not exceptional but better than average. Clean, friendly staff and service. You walk away full with a good experience

This place surprised me. My bf and I were meeting someone who is a truck driver and we met up with him here. Service was okay. Food took a little long and we didn't get the side orders until we asked for it. (We were supposed to get it before the main meal) But that's tolerable. I ordered a chicken club sandwich and they were delicious! Ambience is not something you would expect from a restaurant that is at a gas station. Probably because this is a chain restaurant. It had a cute diner vibe.

First let me say, this place has only been open for 3 weeks and it is Mother's Day. Kinks are to be expected, as was a wait. My boys brought me here for breakfast. We were told the wait would be about an hour, and were prepared for that with the newness and holiday factored in. It was almost exactly an hour in when we were seated. A waitress got our drink orders as we browsed the menu. Amanda, our server took our food orders. I chose the traditional eggs Benedict, one son got top sirloin, another the Hobo omelette. Then, we waited. And waited. And waited. And ...... waited.... An hour and a half after ordering, we were getting antsy. If I hadn't wanted my eggs Benedict so bad, we would have walked out, like several others did. It took 2.5 hours after we were seated to receive our plates. I know this from the time stamps on the photos I took. Thankfully my breakfast was great. I told Amanda it was worth the wait, because I truly enjoyed it. I have never in my life been to a more mis-managed restaurant. I understand rushes and long waits, but this was beyond horrible from a service perspective. I felt bad for the staff, the servers were taking a hit and you could see it on their faces. Take out and online orders should have been stopped. People should have been turned away so that the kitchen could catch up. After the meal, the bill was a bit shocking. Amanda took my OJ off the tab. Gee, thanks. $70 bucks for a four hour experience, most of it spent waiting. I am less than impressed. If we had been warned that it would be a long wait for our food too, we might have gone elsewhere. I might go back after they have been open for 9-12 months. No promises.

Wow, I love this place took a break from driving on the road towards Florida and this was such a relief. The steak was phenomenal with the mashed potatoes, fruit and salad with blue cheese. Coffee was great even black and Carly was a phenomenal person grateful for her to serve me thank you, Jesus Christ.

We have been curious…read moreabout this place ever since we stopped and talked to the person seating people while we were waiting for our reservation across the street. He mentioned a pickle martini, which I ordered at lunch and was very good. My wife ordered the welcome burger and enjoyed it except for them getting the toppings wrong. Our granddaughter really liked her mac and cheese and there was a generous serving of sliced fruit. And my Jose Burger had just enough spice and was very tasty. That what's the good. So we stopped here for lunch on a Friday about 12:30 with our 3-year-old granddaughter. Our initial server barely said two words to us and we felt like we were an imposition. When we ordered my wife asked did they have Pepsi or Coke products he said we have bottles and cans of everything, so she ordered a Coke. It was Mexican Coke which is fine, but $5, and it wasn't until we noticed other people had cans of regular Coke and realized he did not give us a choice. When we ordered our burgers, again he barely said two words and did not ask us how we wanted them cooked even though the menu says cook to order. When we got them they were very rare, see the picture, which we're okay with although we would have ordered them a little more done. My wife said no onions on hers, and of course there was onions on her berger. Later we were served by a waitress who was much more friendly and we realize was probably just not there yet when we sat down, so the initial waiter didn't really care what we thought since we weren't going to be his customers at the end. So sadly what could have been a very pleasant lunch was spoiled by the initial waiter, even though the food was good we may not be back.

I'd been meaning to try this location after seeing a few of my fellow Yelper friends review this place. Just like they said, this place did not disappoint! Serving up quality diner food with friendly service, classic hits, and blast from the past decor. What We Ordered: - Steak & Eggs: Under $20?! Count me in! Seasoned well and cooked perfectly to order for both the over easy eggs and medium rare steak. Breakfast perfection! - Patty Melt: My boyfriend said it was delicious, and the small bite I tried was great. You can tell they season their burger patties. Honestly, we both left very impressed as all the food was seasoned well and cooked beautifully. Who says diner food can't be done well?! Nana Dee's has set the standard for diner food!

We LOVED our visit to Diner 50 and this is now my go-to breakfast spot downtown. Everything was perfection. We loved the art inside and outside, music, and vibe. Our server was warm, enthusiastic, and had immaculate timing. We appreciated how playful and passionate she was. I swear she knew the name of every guest who walked through the door, and asked them thoughtful questions about their loved ones or travels. This is obviously a place that people return to and become regulars at. An excellent sign. What we were not expecting (and SO DELIGHTED WITH) was the cat rescue space through the adjoining wall. We are all cat-obsessed, so walking in and seeing a room full of absolute sweeties playing around added 100,000 points to the experience. The coffee? Epic. Served in a nearly soup bowl sized cup (hot) or gigantic mason jar (iced). Diner coffee can sometimes leave much to be desired but this coffee was soooo delicious and strong. The food? So awesome. I went with a classic breakfast plate - eggs, sausage, potatoes, blueberry pancakes. I added a biscuit because the menu said they were homemade and I had to try it. It was exceptional, I would go back just for the sausage and biscuit and coffee. My coworker got the huevos rancheros with red and green sauce and I was massively jealous. Everyone left over-caffeinated with bellies full of delicious food and hearts warm from being so well taken care of by our lovely server and getting to play with kitties. The prices are fair, the food and coffee are delicious and homemade, and the service is exceptional. I am someone who really values being involved with my community, so I feel great about spending my money somewhere that is clearly beloved by my neighbors and pours back into them. Thank you Diner 50 for being such an unexpected delight!

When it came out, the steak was smaller than I expected and pretty chewy. It also seemed much leaner than what I usually expect from a ribeye, with very little marbling. Because of that, it didn't have the tenderness or flavor I normally associate with that cut. I'd still recommend this place overall since my friends enjoyed their food and everything else was good. I'd just personally skip the steak next time and try something else.
