I am not sure how they got amazing reviews. Contacted Black Cloud Cumberland through their online site for a tragus and ear piercing. Was contacted that same day that they except walk-in clients. I informed them that I would be there the next day. Well today is the next day and they are not opened. Their shop hours are 11:00 am - 8 pm. I arrived at 11 am and the gate was still down. I immediately messaged the person that helped me the day before and they could not get a hold of the store manager. They were very communicative and keep trying to reach out to the manager. They said the manager never answered. I eventually just left. It was noon and the shop still had not opened. I won't be going back. This was my sign to steer away from this location. I saw other Google reviews saying the same thing; however, I still took a chance. I noticed that a lot of these shops do poor service based on the demographics. Sad but true. they pierced me at a wrong angle and I had to go back and they had to redo it. then on two occasions ive called to verify they have certain post sizes or jewelry and they will claim do just for me to come in and they don't have it. not to mention they step out randomly for any length of time and no one who works their has anyone's number and they have no manager so you'll never know when they'll be back read more

I got my conch pierced February 15 but Reece. Everything was fine. March 23rd I stopped in to get the jewel that had unscrewed put back on but there was a 40+wait. Not sure who it was I spoke with but she was a beautiful young lady with locs. I asked her about coming in on Monday to get it done and if my home would close. She said I would be fine. Monday morning the remaining piercing fell out of my ear and I couldn't make it to the store until I got off. When I arrived, the apprentice was there and I believe two tattoo artists. The apprentice called Reece to let her know that there were 2 customers who were there regarding piercings that had come out. She was on speakerphone and we could hear her attitude while asking what we wanted her to do and what areas we had pierced. She stated she would be back in about 15 minutes. As soon as she returned, nothing but attitude! No apology for having us wait. A simple "I apologize for the inconvenience of having to wait, I'm the only piercer today. How can I help?" Bit of course that was too much for her to do and instead she have straight attitude. I explained what happened and how I had come in and spoke with someone and her response, well I don't know who you spoke with but it wasn't me. I can't do it, your home has closed. And you'll need to heal first before I can redo. Basically I wasted $90 and S.O.L. Had she been more sympathizing and at least seemed to give a Sh*t, I'd have never written this review but her attitude was unwarranted. Two friends and I went to Black Cloud Tattoo and Piercing on our lunch break and got our noses pierced. We worked with Destiny who was fantastic. She got us all completed within 30 mins and was super friendly along the journey. My only reasoning for 4 stars instead of 5 is because this place was pretty pricey for what we got. We each paid about $50 after tax for our nose piercing which included the jewelry & the cleaning solution and that was with a mall discount for working in the mall. Based on the pricing for that minor job I wouldn't recommend them mainly because I can only imagine what larger jobs would cost! **Also all tattoos can only be paid in cash** All in all, it's a nice place just a bit pricey! read more

The shop is super clean with stunning visuals. Really impeccable. The staff is super friendly and beyond patient. Manuel was my artist and he was the absolute best. He listened to what I wanted. We discussed options for my designs and he was very communicative and attentive. He had a steady hand and did really beautiful, delicate work. One of my tiny pieces was a song lyric in a hidden spot and he had the forethought to play the song while I was getting it inked! I loved that. It was a very special touch. I'll be back. I found my new artist. The price points for tattoos may be a little high for some customers, but if the artist delivers a quality piece than it's well worth it. SCAMMERS!!! CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!! I visited the Cumberland Mall location for a piercing. After discussing pricing I was told the piercing was $59.99 with free earring. After the service was completed I was given a price of $125.00. I asked why there's an up charge. I was told because the earrings were gold. The person who pierced my ears ( a girl with a bad attitude and over processed blonde hair) selected the earrings for me. I told her she didn't tell me about a additional charges.. she says well it's nothing I can do, they're in your ears now, unless you want me to take them out. I walked out and contacted the police because this was like robbery. The police stated this was now a small claims court issue. I was literally robbed with no gun, by a place of business.. They used to be pretty decent and friendly but not sure what happened really- probably a change in staff or management maybe. The other day I was at this location trying to book an appt. for this weekend to do a second lobe piercing. And the folks in the store just straight up ignored me. There was even a guy in the front who was helping two customers in the lobby but never acknowledged me once. I was standing at the entrance where they had a sign that said they were booked for the day and to go to the next location in Kennesaw. I still had some questions to ask them tho since this is the closest location to me and I didn't have time to drive 25-30 mins all the way to Kennesaw just to be seen. You can't just put up a sign that says you're "BOOKED" and ignore anyone else who comes by. There wasn't even any info on how to book an appt online or anything. Please don't go here. I got my first ever facial piercing here- a surface piercing at that. I got my bridge done in March and they put silver in me despite me telling them I was allergic. They lied about the material. They sent me home with a curved bar, NOT what you are to use for bridges at all. Especially healing ones. These pictures are what followed during months of stress as this piercing is directly in the center of my face. I tried to do everything from simply spraying saline on and leaving it be to doing soaks etc. Never put aspirin or tea tree oil or anything on it as I know it isn't suggested by REAL piercers. I was heartbroken and they kept urging me to come in, and I decided against it. I saw another piercer, at Marked for life, and he placed a REAL TITANIUM straight bar in. It tore slightly around the right side hole as the bar was curved and the canal for the straight bar was a bit wonky. When we took out the curved bar, it was BLACK! Because it wasn't real titanium! Now, about a month or so later, my bridge is healed and beautiful. One of my proudest decisions was to choose to try and fix it rather than take it out but NO THANKS to black cloud for their piercing skill! I loved the people here though and it really sucked that this was the experience I had. I wish I could get my money back. read more

Horrible place for piercing. Specifically the Cumberland mall location. Guy pierced my ears with a needle and still had them come out uneven. My left earring is way lower and off to the side while my right side is perfect. It bothers me so much because these are my first piercings and that was a horrible experience, I would not recommend this place for piercings!!! read more

They are absolutely trash. My wife & I walked in for her to get Medusa piercing ! Sky put it in diagonal and the wrong way. I will upload videos upon request. She did it wrong the tried to get an attitude about it when my wife wanted her money back. She ended up redoing the piercing & still doin it wrong. read more

I have visited one of their NC locations while visiting family and met Beebe over there to look at an older tattoo I wanted to cover up. He took his time with me, explained everything since it takes a little more to place a cover up properly (3 other shops refused or wanted me to get laser done prior to them working with me). We set an appointment for the Cumberland Mall location 2 weeks later. When I came in, the space was clean, everyone was wearing masks, front desk was friendly. Signs are posted that this is a cash business only, with an ATM on site. Beebe showed me different samples of the type of tattoo I wanted and once we found something that I liked and would work, he got right to work. He told me from the very beginning what his hourly charges are and he charges from the time the needle touches the skin. He does have a timer going and after each hour, will take a short break. Prices are more than fair, especially when you see the finished product. Everyone was friendly, in a positive mood, working on a comfortable pace, listening to concerns and paying attention. This was not my first tattoo, but definately my last artist. Any future art work will be done by Beebe ;-) read more

Awful! Would not recommend at ALL! Horrible customer service!!! I got a tattoo before heading out of town. I talked to someone and they said that they would have someone call me back. Never did. They misspelled my tattoo and said it was because they didn't know my language. I am multiracial and an older teenager, Brian, who wasn't even an employee sitting at the front desk, accused me of racism because I described what the artist looked like when the manager asked me. He proceeded to get belligerent and got all in my face. The manager, Manuel R., calmed him down, however, kept repeating the same thing. They will not work with you at all!!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!!! Also, before my appointment, the receptionist did not tell me it was cash only. when I showed up for my appointment, the people at the front desk used the f* bomb several times and didn't get in for another hour. The artist did draw it out and it looked like it was spelled correctly however she was on her phone while doing my tattoo and the manuscript was different. The manager when I went back after being out of town, only offered for the artist to fix it (why would I want to go back there!) and did not even offer any other financial compensation to appease me, the customer. The owner(s) of this store need to know how this place is being run. There are more things I could say but limited space and honestly, I do not want to waste anymore of my time trying to get water from a stone. read more
