Hot Italian grinder and king club.
    Haley C.

First off upon walking up to the door, the owner came and opened the door for us. Such a bright and vibrant man and lovely to talk to. Easy enough to say.. I'm never going to subway or Jersey mikes etc. these sandwiches hit! And they aren't crazily expensive. Such a good sandwich, I got the Hot Italian Grinder and it's a 10/10. My fiance got a king club and it tastes like my childhood on a hot sunny day at the pool. Loved everything about my experience here and will be back!

Yelpers didn't disappoint! Such a cute, clean cafe. Very friendly service. It will make your day! Prices are a bargain, especially breakfast. Tried the breakfast wrap today, delicious & only $5. Get the spicy mayo on the side if you can't handle spice. Will be back to try the sandwiches & soup soon. Check it out near IKEA.

Ok, so I admit I have been in error for not trying this place sooner!! Finally decided to stop in for a grinder.. Oh man am I glad I did. First off very clean and tidy place with very friendly people. We were behind the lunch crowd so order was quick and easy. The Italian Grinder was awesome to say the least. The bread (roll) was toasty yet freshly soft. The meat and cheese was prepared perfectly, and the "shoestring " frys were fresh and hot,, even the fry sauce was good. All in all it was a VERY filling and deliteful lunch! I can't wait to go back!

Pros: friendly staff, quick service, food is decent and unpretentious, plenty seating and parking, I had a fair experience with this eatery Cons: not much.

I Wanted to try a new place for lunch and decided to try this place based on Yelp reviews. I placed my order over the phone and pick up was fast and easy. The employees were very nice and the place was pretty busy. It was also very clean. I was originally going to give 4 stars because it's like a 3.5 for me but I don't really ever seeing myself go back here. The food wasn't so good, that it made me feel like, "yep, I've definitely gotta back". Unfortunately, it just didn't do that for me. The soup beef and veggie soup we ordered, livery had one cube of meat and maybe a couple slivers of celery. It was all broth. The tuna sandwich was thick and a little messy to eat but satisfactory to eat. The Italian grinder had good flavor but mostly bread and little on the meat. The food was hot and definitely fresh though!

This is my go-to lunch spot, I really love the Italian grinder sandwich. It's always the same and delicious. They are quick and the staff is always so nice. I also love their breakfast burritos, the hash brown has the best crunch to it and it's cheesy. Yum! Highly recommend

This was the best customer service and great atmosphere, I walked in and there wasn't anyone, but a few minutes later a lot of people showed up everyone was greeted well. The breakfast was delicious and fulfilling the orange juice was great. I could've ordered another plate but I was on a tight schedule. Next time I'm back in town this will be the first place I will come.

Meat was actually thinner than the cheese.

Horrible tiny dry pastami sandwich. Hardly enought meat to even see. My freind had the French dip. Same thing almost meatless with some watery aujus.

Wowww what a secret spot! the outside lettering and building is nothing like the inside! It looks like they've done a remodel and it's a great vibe. I'd say homey and trendy at the same time. The pictures of this grinder made it look like the bread is overwhelming but it's actually a wonderful texture and balance!! The sandwich smells amazing immediately and I love the flavor!! I also am glad that I added turkey although it was $3 extra . Definitely will be going again!

    Lunch today, yum

This truly is a hidden gem, it's on a random corner on a plaza consisting of things I would never had a reason to stop in. Good thing there's Yelp, I was around running errands and wanted to try something new and this place seem to get good reviews. You can feel that it's a small mom and pops place, the people that work here were so nice and attentive. I didn't know what to order and they suggested their most popular choice, the grinder! It's a piece of really crispy bread with your selection of meat and special sauce, omg the melted cheese too. I ordered fries too. It's a generous portion as I can only finish half, but yay I have the other half for dinner now. Prices were very affordable, and you can just tell it's run by a very nice family. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

The restaurant is located in a small plaza. Parking lot is small and we were able to park easily. Upon entry, we were greeted and were seated right away. We had a window view which was nice. We enjoyed basking under the sun LOL! For starters, we ordered two coffee, cream and sugar while we browsed the menu. The restaurant was pretty spacious and clean. Not well lit or bright. It appeared that one section (rear) was kind of dark. It was a little odd. After we placed our order. It took approximately 45-50 minutes to receive our food. It was quite long. Sadly, our waitress didn't check in to refill our coffee. My daughter ordered the waffle combo with two sunny side eggs, hash browns and two sausage links $20.99. She enjoyed her food. I had a chance to try her Belgium waffle. It was light, airy and good. For my meal, I ordered the Avocado Florentine with carne asada (up charge $5.99) Total $25.99. It looked really delicious however, it was not. Unfortunately, it was bland. No seasoned and no flavor. I added salt and it still did not taste good. It didn't help. I had only three spoons and stopped eating. This has never happened. I had packed up my leftovers for my husband have at it. When my husband tried it, he stated it was bland. I rarely give bad reviews and rarely have bad tasting breakfast. This one hit that for me. =(

They have a list of combos that are huge portions for at least 2-3 meals? My husband got the fried catfish with choice of 3 sides & I got the 3 wings with 3 sides combo. The catfish was moist on the inside & light & crisp with a cornmeal crust on the outside. 2 big filets in his combo with 3 sides, he chose Mac & cheese, collard greens with turkey neck meat(no pork) & candied yams...all so tasty & huge portions. The special today was chicken etouffee served on a bed of white rice for $13! The gravy was rich & flavorful, the chicken was tender. So tasty...they also have a combo with BBQ ribs that are so tender the meat falls off the bone clean! All combos also come with a square slice of cornbread. Their cornbread is more cake like & sweet style. The owner Kenny is nice & hospitable, attentive always making sure everything is ok. I was too full for Dole Whip today but they had original pineapple flavor & watermelon as well...the 2nd flavor changes periodically but they always have pineapple. Soulfood Sunday is always the last Sunday of the month but they always have wings, catfish, grilled sandwiches & more on the daily & they even have a tables & chairs as well as a high counter seating along the window. Stop by for some hearty tasty eats! The store side of the shop has some really great products...way better than any corner store you've stepped foot in, very nice shop. Unexpected little corner market with good food, great groceries & all the vibes. Check it out the next time you are in downtown Renton.

When I order extra meat at Firehouse, it's actually piled on. Here, it was buried under a mountain of lettuce. For the price, the value just isn't there. Back to Firehouse for us.

I stood there waiting while two employees were right in front of me chatting, and another employee was cleaning the grill. What bothered me most was the lack of basic food-handling hygiene. The employee cleaning the grill had on plastic gloves, took them off using her hands, threw them away, then grabbed a new pair of gloves without washing her hands in between. The restaurant itself felt pretty clean which was definitely a plus and definitely appreciated. To be fair, when the employee did speak, she seemed like a nice person but there was no customer service attached to my experience. I paid, started to leave, and even waited to see if someone would say "have a nice day" or anything...........nothing. I don't like being overly tough on fast food places, but people work extremely hard nowadays to earn money and the bare minimum any business can offer is a simple smile and basic customer service. It's not about big business vs. small business it's about kindness and showing appreciation that each customer feels valued and appreciated. Twenty bucks for a sandwich, bag of chips and poor service. Definitely an easy 2 Stars for me. 2 Stars

Plus the inside is just the front counter, the menu in big print and some small seating (not for dine-in, though). Bestie and I each got their combo bao, which comes with many ingredients like quail egg, jicama, celery, wooden ears, pork and black pepper. We wanted these heated up, and it took about 10 or so minutes for them to be ready. Bestie did also get a mini bao but asked for it not to be heated so he could eat as a midnight snack. As for the combo bao itself, the whole thing could easily qualify as a meal if you get more than one. Walking into this location, the interior is clean, simple, and welcoming. It has that classic sandwich shop feel: bright lighting, an open counter where you can watch your sub being made, and a steady but efficient flow of customers. It's not overly fancy, but it doesn't need to be--the focus here is clearly on the food and the experience. The staff keeps things moving smoothly, and there's a sense of familiarity if you've been coming here as long as I have. I actually made the switch from Subway years ago, and I haven't looked back since. What stands out most about Jersey Mike's is the value. You're getting a noticeably larger portion, especially with a "regular" size, which honestly feels more like what other places would call a large. It's filling, satisfying, and worth every dollar. My two staples are the #13 The Original Italian and the #2 Jersey Shore's Favorite--and you truly can't go wrong with either. The #13 is packed with a variety of meats that all complement each other, while the #2 keeps things simple with provolone and ham, letting the quality of the ingredients really shine. That's what I appreciate most: the simplicity. There's nothing overly complicated here--just fresh bread, good meats, crisp toppings, and a balance that works every single time. Everything tastes fresh, at least in my experience, and you can genuinely taste the difference compared to competitors. The bread has the right texture, the ingredients don't feel processed or stale, and the sandwiches are assembled with care. It's that consistency that keeps me coming back. No matter how many times I've ordered from this location over the years, I've never had an issue with quality. That's rare, especially for a chain. At this point, ordering from this Jersey Mike's has become second nature. I know exactly what I'm going to get, and they deliver on that expectation every time. That level of reliability, combined with solid portions and fresh ingredients, makes it an easy choice. I'll absolutely continue ordering from this location--it's one of those places you can depend on when you want something quick, filling, and consistently good.

My's is best known for their banh mis, but they also serve pho, fresh rolls, and other Vietnamese dishes. I ordered the CHICKEN (#10) BANH MI ($8 and change plus tax and tip). The toasted baguette and pickled carrot and daikon were all fresh and crispy. However, I wished they put more vegetables inside. I also was disappointed by the chicken as it was shredded and not grilled. It tasted like canned chicken and was overall kind of bland. Had I known the chicken wasn't grilled, I would've gone with the grilled pork instead. Additionally, there was too much pate (which reminded me of melted salted butter, but gooier - almost like the texture of brie cheese) slathered on the sandwich and so I ended up scraping most of it off. Compared to Yeh Yeh's in Lynnwood, this banh mi unfortunately missed the mark for me (although it is convenient). With that said, I'd give them another try and try the grilled pork next instead with light pate. My mother tried the fresh rolls, and thought they were kind of small for the price. The peanut sauce was decent. I took my lunch to go, but the interior atmosphere is cozy. Service was decent too. Overall: 3/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere
