My husband and I came here for a date night and had some of the best service and seafood we've ever experienced! From the outside, the building doesn't exactly scream "5-star seafood" -- I think it may have been an old Pizza Hut -- but don't let that fool you. Inside, it's cute, a little kitschy, and most importantly, clean!! There wasn't any type of fishy smell at all! The husband-and-wife owners are absolutely working their tails off, and it shows. The service was warm, attentive, and truly top-notch. You can feel how much pride they take in what they do. We each ordered crab boils and didn't leave a single thing in the bag -- every bite was incredible! Some of the most delicious seafood I've ever had. I almost hesitate to share this hidden gem because I selfishly want it all to myself, but they deserve every bit of recognition. I dropped by this restaurant and picked up a menu in 2024. I met the owner and I was pleased with its presentation. It looked clean, cozy, and didn't reek of fish. I promised I would come back and try an item so today I did. It's a small place but about 75% of the tables were filled with customers. They all seemed to be really be enjoying their meals. I just want to update my review since we hadn't had a chance to go back in a while. If I could give Crab Kitchen 10 stars I would! It was even better then before! We went again for my moms birthday on Saturday the 18th and the food was amazing, if you can swing the crab kitchen platter, DO IT! My mom split it with my son, and they both loved it! He loved the lobster, crab and mussels the most. We also had frogs legs, which everyone loved, fried oysters and hush puppies, delicious. And the rest of us got seafood boils and they were amazing! But what makes the experience even better are the super lovely and kind owners, I can't say enough about how nice they are. You almost feel like part of the family when you're there. Owner chooses ingredients and prep with quality and intent to not over salt the foods. Too bad the public doesn't realize the quality of ingredients and choices made. Scallops are top notch! Never had them in a boil like this. I chose the house seasoning which I found to be perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and spice. I chose seafood boil with shrimp (head off), scallops (humongous), and sausage, which comes with potatoes, corn, and a hard boiled egg. Ordered mine medium spice which I'd say compares to a Thai spice level of medium. My husband ordered a boil with shrimp (head off), crawfish, crab legs, potatoes, corn, and hard boiled egg, Cajun, hot spice level. He thoroughly enjoyed everything he had and polished everything off including some of my sausage. He said it was perfect flavor, not too salty, spice level was as expected. Came in by myself last Monday and had a great time! The cashier was the cook and the server as well. I was the only one dinning in but saw a few people picking up to go! I got seafood boil with lobster, snow crab cluster and head on shrimp with the house special sauce medium. Crabs weren't cooked perfect as not all the legs pulled out easily but they were so tasty! Lobster was a bit chewy, I'd never had it in a seafood boil before but I'd recommend more legs instead of the lobster. Shrimp was good! The sauce wasn't very spicy I'd go hotter next time overall great experience though and I love that they include corn and potatoes in the meal read more

After our favorite Belleville seafood boil place closed, we were in the market to find a new one - and I'm so glad we found this place! The service is excellent, very welcoming. It's a fun little spot (maybe it used to be a Pizza Hut?) with ocean-themed decor. I have ordered their appetizers (crab rangoon) a few times, but they aren't the star of the show. The seafood boil here comes out in a bag. In my 4 visits, I've tried crab legs, shrimp, mussels, scallops, and crawfish. All of these were fresh, and the "House Special" sauce was awesome - cajun and buttery and spicy, it really made everything down to the potatoes and corn feel like part of an excellent dining experience. The snow crab was well seasoned and this was the first crab place where you can add steamed veggies to your bag, I added broccoli and it was delicious! I had the Cajun and garlic butter. I took my girlfriend on a date here the place was very clean and had amazing service the wait was very fast and the owner made the experience personal and checked on us alot. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The seafood was very fresh and well seasoned. There was some Asian influence that made this crab boil very original with a flavor I can't explain except perfect sweet, spicy, and not too salty. Not very busy when I came. I simply wanted to try the crab bites just to get a quick snack. It's not a very large restaurant so I'm sure it fills up quickly during lunch or dinner time. I thought the food I ate was quite delicious, but I really want to return and explore more of the menu. I came here with my boyfriend at 7 pm after a long day of pretty much not eating. Despite coming a bit late at night, the owners were super friendly and sat us down immediately. Let me just say this is hands down the best seafood boil I ever had. It's fresh. It's super well seasoned. And honestly for the quality of the seafood we gotten, we were surprised by our bill (in a good way!) I've had seafood far less quality, far less fresh, and far less seasoned for twice as much as what we paid for. Not to mention, the owners are super friendly and attentive, stopping by our tables several time to ask if the food was okay and if we wanted any refills. I also love the vibe of the place. It is small but the older music they played reminds me of eating at a seafood restaurant in Asia where you just have these oldies playing while you're eating seafood, drinking, and having a good time with friends and family. The best was dipping everything in the sauce in the bottom of the bag from the shrimp after removing the shell or break opening a mussel. We got delivery from here tonight and wow was it good. My son got the 1lb boil with New Zeland mussels and shrimp Cajun style. Hubs and I got the garlic butter boil with 1lb black mussels, 1/2l lb clams and added a sausage- I want to drink the sauce it's so good! This totally came packaged perfectly and hot. WOW! What can I say!! I came here for my birthday lunch with my mom today (03/09) . I loved how attentive the owners were, especially with their new waitress, how patient they were. I love seeing business like this. The food was phenomenal. I've never had a seafood boil and wow!! I had my leftovers in the car and couldn't wait to get home to eat more!!
