If I could give negative stars, I would. They are friendly, but that is the only nice thing I have to say about this place. It was my first time there. I asked for a dip manicure. They tried to talk me into doing other things rather than dip. Now I know why. They have no idea how to do it. He filed off all of the dip I already had on. He didn't soak any of it off. Then he put 2 base coats on. Then he proceeded to put 4 coats of the color powder on. I have never had that much, so I asked why he was doing so much. He said because my nails were thin. I have never had this happen. They were so thick, and even after putting that much on, they were still spotty. I told him they were a little too thick, so he just filed and filed with a regular nail file. I told him I wanted the oval shape that I already had. Some are pointy, some are kind of square, but none are oval. He then proceeded to put 5 coats of the finishing clear coat. Here is the best part. At the end, he pulls out a bottle of regular nail polish in a similar color to what I had and tried filling in spots that he missed. Once I noticed, I immediately pulled my hand away and told him to stop. I asked him to finish so I could just pay and go somewhere else to have them redone. As I was paying, he actually had the nerve to ask me to enter the tip amount on the credit card machine. What?! All I can say is do not go here. They are horrible. read more

I've been shopping around for a new place to do dips and this is the second place I've tried. The gal I usually go to when I used to have gels doesn't do dips. I cannot say enough about how meticulous she was. While it took a good deal longer than I anticipated, it was worth the length of time that I put in. My nails look absolutely perfect and they even have the color that I wanted which the other place did not have. I will definitely be back and can't wait to go have a pedicure on a day when I have more time. Everyone was very polite and kind. And the place was very clean. I was very impressed. I got my nails done here while it is taken over by a new manager, Anna. I wanted to have my nails done as claws; however, I didn't want to use Acrylics. I had a few broken nails that made it shorter from the rest and I didn't want to be criticized that my nails would be uneven. (Trust me, there are nail technicians that doesn't let you breathe.) Despite it being a bit shorter, Anna was able to help me shape my nails into claws and made me feel comfortable with my nails. In addition, I chose the color white, and if anybody doesn't know, white is one of the few hard colors to paint. But she was able to paint and coat it perfectly that I barely saw any imperfections. Great job, Anna! Anna is a really sweet person who had owning a nail salon as her dream for many years. She also does eyebrows and it's amazing! This place is owned by a nice family, and they're all kind and accommodating. However, they don't know how to do a good manicure or pedicure. I asked for a dip powder manicure, and not only did they not know the proper method that literally ALL salons follow, they didn't know how to use their tools either. I can only imagine how much damage they've done to my nails from using the wrong heads on their electric filer. Dip powder manicures typically last the longest, in my experience. Mine started peeling and disintegrating in less than 12 hours. My feet started to feel itchy and sore after the pedicure as well. What should have taken 2 hours tops, took just over 3 hours to complete, and it was a shabby job at that. Save your money and go someplace else...you'll need to visit another salon to fix whatever they do anyway. read more

I came to C & D nails in hopes of buying a gift certificate for a coworker who lives nearby. I called earlier in the week to make an appointment to have my nails done as a trial before purchasing. Needless to say, I did not walk out with a gift certificate. I arrived to an empty salon with three employees. I was promptly escorted to a set up and told to select a color from the samples in a basket. Before I could even look, my manicurist started working on removing my old gel. After getting me foiled she asked what color I wanted. A difficult task with no finger tips. I selected a base color and said I had a design in mind (green wreath) once I could get my phone out to show her. She said okay and went ahead with removing the polish. While prepping my nails I was cut on my cuticle, which wouldn't stop bleeding. I also asked for my nails short and they were left longer despite a request for shorter, and squared off but with sharper edges. I had to ask twice to continue filing to avoid cutting myself after I left the salon. Once this part was completed my manicurist was swapped for someone else and I assumed because I wanted a design. I showed this woman and she said she would attempt it. I told her if she couldn't to tell me and I would do something else. She went ahead and began the gel. She worked very fast and my hands were only under the UV less than a minute each time. They never cured for a full cycle of light. I asked if the manicure would be completely cured and she said yes, but I could come back if it chipped for a fix. While I appreciate the gesture, I want it done right the first time. As she worked on my nails I watched her take out the top coat and before I could say anything one hand was done and I was directed to place it in the UV machine. I stopped her and asked if she was doing the design. She replied that it was too hard and she couldn't do it. I was never told she wasn't able to do it during the process, especially since she said she would try initially. If I had known I would have made a different plan. I promptly asked for a gold glitter to place over the white base and she was a bit frustrated seeming. She grabbed a polish (bright yellow gold) and put it on my nail without showing me first. I asked her to remove it and she went to find a different one. The second was more subtle so I accepted it only to leave that much faster. While she gave me a lackluster hand massage, she made a comment about how busy they were now (a few people had arrived since I did) and they were short staffed. She reiterated again that I could come back if my manicure chipped. When I went to pay, I was charged $28, which I assume was either a nice gesture for poor service or they forgot to add in my gel removal. Either way, I paid my tab and got out of there never to return. One other thing to note, while tools were in one of the sterilized bags, the bowls for soaking your fingers and towel did not appear to be. After I had soaked my hands, the manicurist took it to the sink and rinsed it with water before placing it to dry on towel. I wish I had known that before sitting down or I would have left right then. Second, there was a towel the manicurist placed on the table while cutting my nails and it was pulled from a drawer. Once she finished cutting it was removed from the table and placed back in that general area. Not sure if she a dirty towel spot or it was being reused. Both of those practices are reason enough not to go back. read more

My friend and I went for full sets. We were there for almost 3 hours. The staff was nice but we left so unhappy with crooked nails and unpainted and uneven spots. For that amount of time we should have had perfect nails. I showed a Pinterest picture and I got something very different. Would not go back. read more

As a client of Cindy's for almost 20 years, I have to say I'm shocked. I called to get a many/pedi with Cindy and find out she MOVED? I just saw her not even a month ago! You can't tell your clients you're moving??? Wow. Very bad business sense. I am sure the new people are good but what a horrible way to treat LOYAL clients I guess you don't care about us. I have NO idea what's going on in the state of Massachusetts, why ya'll think it's totally ok to pay $50 for a pedicure in a dump, I'll never know. I had pretty much accepted the fact that I would just go with jacked up feet for the duration of my stay here, but finally found C&D, with *gasp* reasonable prices and quality service!! I wish I knew the guy's name that did my set of acrylics and toes, but I have the attention span of a goldfish...anyway, they turned out great every time I've gone in and not overpriced. I hate to say it, but I won't be coming back here again. We had terrible service here today and the results were awful -- bad polish job, everything sped up and no time spent. The technicians were rude and there was a line of people out the door. They don't know how to handle their clients and rush them in and out, the job they did was horrible. No thought or care was given, and that's a shame when you pay a lot of money to have mani/pedis at a salon and you could have done it yourself for a lot less. read more

Used to like this place...not anymore. The people that work there are not as friendly as they used to be... They say they take walk-ins, but when you "walk in" they are usually irritated even when no other clients are there!! My nails came out good if I had color but if I had a french manicure (with tips) you could see those buffing circles... A big NO NO....Its a shame this place went downhill...as far as pedi's I never thought they did a great job... no hot towels, a 30 second calf massage, that's it...the toenail paint came out alright...but I expect the whole deal for a pedicure... so Im sorry to say I will not be back.... read more

I went there as a walk-in to get gel manicure and regular pedicure. I asked for help with choosing color but staff didn't understand much English. The lady who did my nail was rushing to finish my pedicure . Some of my toe nail only received half polish. Then my manicure, she cut my cuticle but somehow poked through the skin of my thumbs making them bleed. I didn't like the color they used as I asked for grey so I asked her to change to different color. The staff started speaking in Vietnamese about my complaint. She changed the polish color but I'm still not satisfied. The other staff apologized but it's not helping much after bad service I received. I won't go back and won't recommend to anyone. read more

I had a wonderful first experience at C&D nails. I came in for an acrylic fill and also needing a complete reshape of my nails. The technicians were kind, accommodating, and friendly. I stopped in on Tuesday to have a fill done ( was trying to find a new salon rather spur of the moment ). Called and was told they could see me immediately. Anna was fabulous. Free hand gel was used without a tip needing to be glued onto one nail. My nails are the most natural looking they have ever been since I began having acrylics done. One nail broke and I went back on Friday. Not only was Anna happy to help me she worked on the nails next to it to make them uniform AND didn't charge me or accept a tip!!! Such customer service ( as my breaking a nail is most definitely not her fault) Very happy to have found the salon. My understanding is that it's under new ownership and Anna is the manager I did see her helping with language barrier issues to ensure client and manicurist were on the same page. David usually does my mani-padi and he is just awesome. I've gone to many different places before so I can compare. David was NEVER late for me and he never rushed me. My feet grow a lot of calluses, but after my appointment it feels baby smooth. He also gives the best massage ever, not just rubbes lotion in for 2 minutes like many other places, he actually massages! So every time I leave this place I feel relaxed and pampered. I'm working as a hairstylist a mile away and already sent a lot of people to c&d and they were very happy with the experience. Highly recommend this place. read more

Worst gel manicures I've ever gotten. Tried multiple times over the years. Never lasts more than a week. My nail beds begin to weaken.. My nails chip and break. They even strangely hurt afterwards. This place has gone down so bad. It used to be a great place. The staff no longer wants to work there and treats customers as if they are on an assembly line. It's not fun it's not relaxing at all because they bring their children and have them running around everywhere they are loud and playing on their electronics with speaker on. I went to C & D nails yesterday as a walk-IN to get my terrible acrylic nails (from Nails21 in Framingham, MA) fixed. At first I asked if they would take them off and completely start over. The woman, Kim, told me that since they were new they would hurt a lot to be taken off and that she would fix them for me. I literally didn't even have to tell her what I wanted, square nails with round edges; she already knew. I never once felt rushed or nervous that she did not know what she was doing. She was very outgoing, as well- which is something I am not used to, most nail technicians I have gone to do not talk to me at all. She did such an amazing job on my nails and this will now be my go-to salon every 2 weeks. I was thrilled. I highly recommend this nail salon! read more

She said she couldn't do it but I think she didn't want to take the time to do it. She couldnt sit for more than a minute. Kept getting up all the time. Worst experience ever, worst manicure ever. And he did a awful job the acrylic started chipping three days later and he did cover my whole nail w the acrylic and 5 days later my clear polish over the French started turning yellow!! I went to C&D Nails for the first time and I will definately be going back! A woman named Cindy did my nails. I had a color change and design on all of my fingernails and a color change and design on one big toe. The total cost was $28.00. The design that Cindy came up with was painstakingly done one little dot, brushstroke or line at a time. She created a breathtaking fantasy flower miniature work of art on my fingernails and toe. Her hand was as steady as a rock as she used her little toothpick-type "brush" to create the artwork. Every time that I look at my nails, I smile. I had this done on a Thursday evening after work and it's now Monday afternoon and the design is still perfect even after my doing housework, laundry, dishes, etc. I can't wait to see what Cindy comes up with next time. I'm thinking of asking her for a fireworks motif! My only complaint is that after she put the base coat on my toenails, she left me sitting in the chair and went to to do a color change on another customer. If it wasn't for this, I would give the salon five stars. read more

Went in to get a French manicure and a pedicure for my prom. My toes came out fantastic but as far as my fingers went, they seemed like they had never even seen fingers before. They cut my nails to uneven lengths and two different shapes. One of my thumb nails was round and the other was square. Then they painted on the French manicure when I had specifically asked for the acrylics. I was very disappointed and left even more of a wreck because any girl that has gone to a high school prom knows how stressful that day can be. Later on at prom a friend pointed out that one of the nails had completely chipped off, I was at prom there was no way that there was something I did to cause it, so either their quality polish is poor or their lack of care in doing nails is the problem. Either way I was very upset and I would not recommend going to get your nails done here if you want them done as you've asked or if you want them to last longer than a few hours. read more

I went in to get my nails done for a wedding I had for the next day. I wanted a mani/pedi with a french for my manicure. I had been here before and thought the service was fine, But I left this time fuming. The man who did my nails was completely distracted by every little noise and person in the shop. It made me nervous, I went there to have a relaxing little mani and pedi and I was completely annoyed when I left. He was quick and sloppy. When he lotioned my legs, he put the lotion on and barely moved it around. In the end the pedicure was just ok but I realized that they clean the pedicure basin/chair thing with a few squirts of kaboom and scrub it with what appears to be a dust broom sweeper. And to top it off its not a very clean, its run down and its sweltering in there. He moved me to the manicure station, with no clean towel to rest my hands, which was not acceptable I asked for a towel and he gave me a small paper towel. Again with the lotion he left clumps of it on my wrist and barely seemed to be watching what he was doing. I even pointed out several times that the white nail polish he was using was streaky because it was dryed out and so he added that nail stuff that makes your polish dry quicker. He told me he would "fix" whatever I thought needed to be at the end. But what I pointed out he did not fix. I felt like I was annoying him, and had to remind myself I was paying for a service. I should have talked to the manager but to be honest I wanted to get out of there. I did not even tip him because I was so dissatified but I left thinking I just won't go back and that would be fine with me. However by the time I went to the wedding, not even 24 hours later 7 of my nails had already chipped and whatever top coat he put on them turned my nails brown- it looked like my nails had been torched. I have gotten french many many times before at various nail salons and never have I ever had that happen to me, so god only knows what products they are using. Suffice to say I will not be heading back there. read more
