    steak and lobster

We came in on a Wednesday around 5pm not busy at all but also no one at the door greeting or seating people, Odd... We waited, then walked to the bar.. ghost town. Finally someone came from the kitchen and went and got a host. We came in for a steak and lobster special. It's not our first visit but we haven't not been here in a while. Things really seemed to have changed at this location. After getting our appetizers we noticed there is no silverware, no salt no pepper, no napkins, no straw for drink. Basic stuff you need. There used to be a sauce option for dipping but i guess that's gone because we weren't presented an option. restaurant was clean, no heavy smoke lingering and our server was nice. Just the basics seemed to be missing here.

I'm not sure I get the hype about this place, but then again I didn't order a steak to cook myself. For some reason, cooking my own steak doesn't appeal to me. My friend and I had lunch here because she had a coupon for buy one sandwich get one free. We both ordered burgers. They were good but nothing special. The sweet potato fries with dipping sauce was tasty. The restaurant seemed dirty. The tables looked rugged - probably due to people grilling at them. But more importantly, the floors were slippery - grease maybe? Overall, I wasn't impressed. When I thought of Black Rock I thought high end - until this visit.

I ordered the ribeye and added on scallops and green beans as my side. The butter and rock sauce is the bomb.com!!

Had an amazing dinner and great conversation at this establishment. Came here after being refused to be seated at a different spot. The staff was inviting and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door until we left (last customers in the spot lol). Our servers were very attentive and treated us like we were regulars instead of visitors. It's a total experience. You have the option to cook your own dinner (mostly meat and seafood) on a rock or have it prepared in the kitchen! I recommend cooking your own food. Super cool for sure. Prices were very reasonable for the experience. Found out they have locations in several states. Anytime I'm in Michigan, I'll def be back and likely any other state as well. Great way to end the evening after a rough start!

I'm thinking the empty plate says it all. Great steak, I had them cook mine vs the rock. Good value and the service was good.

I think the picture of the empty play say just about everything. Great steak good service and a decent value.

Wow - love to bring this plaće back home to Illinois. Blackrock Burger for me and sizzling shrimp with filet medalions. Throw in a few smoked old fashions and a dynamite shrimp appetizer. Perfect way to celebrate our grandson's team winnung their first game of a weekend Hockey tournament!

The cocktails are stunning, the food (whether brunch or dinner) is consistently memorable, and apparently every plate is so beautiful that I feel compelled to photograph it. Beyond the food, the service is always exceptional. The staff strikes that perfect balance of polished and warm, making every visit feel like a special occasion. And then there's the atmosphere. The abundant natural light, thoughtful seasonal décor, and the undeniable gravitas of a beautifully restored former bank create an experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. The Ledger is absolutely worthy of being a destination restaurant for celebrations and milestones. But the biggest compliment I can give it is this: we don't save it only for special occasions. Whenever we're nearby, we make a point to stop because the food, drinks, and experience are just that good and the seasonal specials never stay as long as you'd hope. And of course, the speakeasy downstairs is always the perfect end to the night.

The G.O.A.T., Fat-sar and truffles were all underwhelming for me. Their tomahawk steaks are huge, table next to us got two cut up table side. Fries were scratch made with a uniques shape that had visual grooves that I had not seen at any other restaurant. Aside from the unique shape they were nice and crispy and quite tasty in their own right. Cleary a superior burger and fries versus other restaurants that are in the area. Aside from the food I had their Old School Margarita and their Deadwood Old Fashioned. The Margarita was just OK in my opinion. Basis of the drink was 1800 tequila which I am not a fan of and Cointreau. Seemed to lack the Agave Forward notes I look for and lime component was not as bright as I like it either. However, the Deadwood Old Fashioned with the Woodford Reserve Bourbon was outstanding and definately one of the better made ones in the area. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance about it with rustic western vibe which I really like. There is also a large outdoor dining area to take advantage of the nicer days which is something to consider if that is what you are looking for. Relative to staff, they are so friendly and outgoing with excellent follow up throughout the meal and clearly a strength of this business. Overall a great dining option in the Northville area and worth checking out if you are in the area.

The restaurant is on an extremely busy four lane divided highway/street and this restaurant is next to a La-Z-Boy store (to help you spot it). The great news is there is a lot of free and convenient parking at the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, it is a very open floor plan. While there are many TV screens for those sitting near the bar area, it is not disruptive to those in the dining area. The ambiance is casually upscale and pleasant. The outdoor patio areas were closed off due to the hot summer temperatures. There is also a large covered patio-like area where it did not seem that people were seated (or very few). I believe that dogs are allowed there year-round, though there weren't any dogs there during our visit. When the weather is better, dogs are also allowed on the outdoor patio. My friend and I were seated in a comfortable booth and were promptly greeted by our server. My friend is gluten and dairy free and our server was very knowledgeable on how to accommodate these sensitivities. We both ordered the Tuscan Chicken Entrees - I had mine with green beans and mashed potatoes; my friend's sides were broccoli and tater tots. Our server was overall appropriately attentive. My friend found the chicken entree too peppery and I found mine edible but on the edge of being too salty. The chicken was topped with artichoke hearts and feta, which could account for some saltiness. If I came here again, I would probably order something else. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, though it's not anyplace I would run back to. It was a good experience overall, but not for foodies. It's a sports bar that tries hard to be and overall succeeds in being a decent dining experience.
