This is absolutely my favorite coffee! It's just so tasty. My favorite drink is the hot Mexican mocha. But I have not been disappointed by anything there. Their energy drinks are really good. Their black coffee is fabulous. The only caution I give is that it will keep me up all night. If I drink it at noon I'm not going to bed until at least 3 AM. Every time! So for me, this is definitely a morning coffee place. Line is usually long, but it goes quickly. The consistently long line is definitely a sign of a great coffee place! I've been going to Black rock since 2019 and I've never had an issue like this. So I order a extra large hot Irish coffee from the Black rock in Vista for my wife. I take it home and give it to her and she immediately makes a face because there's no sweetener inside of it so I go back to the other black rock because it's closer to my house on Santa Fe Way, Road in Vista. I explained to the barista the issue at the previous black rock. I went to and she says no problem will remake it for you. She asked me what was it and I tell her the drink when the drink is made I informed her that it's the right drink, but it's the wrong size. I ordered an extra large and she gave me a large. She tells me well you told me it was a large and smiles and laughs. That might've been the case but regardless having a waste 45 minutes on my day on the weekend when I'm on my way to SeaWorld to get a drink corrected that this business got wrong isn't a laughing matter. Someone should train the barista that it isn't cool to make fun of a customer who's already in a bad situation because of another barista at your organization. The lack of customer service really is an issue. You guys have a great business and product especially in the Oceanside location. Please do better so that this doesn't affect your bottom line and the good name of the company. I love the black rock coffee chain in general but I really enjoy the service at this location specifically. Every barista is very kind and makes any order quickly and with quality in mind. All of my drinks have tasted correct/same standard throughout the years. The drive thru line isn't ideal at this specific location just because the parking lot is so small, but the line does move quickly! read more

I asked for very very light ice and these two teenage girls decided to just fill my cup up with ice keep in mind. This is like a seven dollar drink. I'm literally paying seven dollars for ice at this point and the girls looked really at me really rudely. Didn't say much to me. Seemed annoyed that I was even there. It was just too basic blonde girls with acrylics one girl had French tip. They were both wearing blue jeans and black crop tops. I'm so irritated because I wanted to drink that could actually last me but no, they wanted to fill up my entire cup with ice. Places that use ice to fill up cups just to save money on drinks our places that I do not want to go back to they should care about the customer experience and this is not a good experience. Today was the grand opening of the Black rock Coffee bar on S. Santa Fe in Vista and they are giving free coffee until 7pm! I went early to check it out and the cafe is very big it's nice to be able to sit and enjoy your coffee inside with many tables and it was very spacious! The drive through was extremely long but I just parked across the street and went inside it was about a 10min wait not bad at all, I got a Mexican mocha and it came out very hot and tasty! The only other drink I've had is the Irish coffee iced which is also very good so I'll definitely come back to try other items on the menu! read more

I love the folks at this location! I have tried every location, but Escondido, and this one is by far my favorite! The parking lot kinda sucks, but everything else about this location is amazing! The folks working are always super kind and go above and beyond with their customer service. I absolutely adore them and have loved adding this to my work routine! Not to mention the coffee is SO delicious. I am very picky, and every single time I get coffee here, my coffee is perfect and so delicious. I don't know why I keep going back, maybe because the coffee is good? The service is atrocious every time I go, but this last time was the last straw. First of all the parking was a disaster, there was no spots. I ordered ahead and was given a five minute window for pick up. I went and waited in line and there were five people ordering ahead of me, but I didn't mind waiting. I can be patient. However, when it was my turn to pick up my order, all of the baristas disappeared or ignored me, and I ended up waiting 25 minutes for my drink. When I voiced my concerns, the barista snapped at me and said there was an entire line of people as if I hadn't just waited 20 minutes in line for my turn to pick up my drink. I went into this location earlier today. It was the very first time I've ever been, and I had noticed that there was a storm of bees in the inside of the coffee restaurant. I did mention something to the worker and she said there's really nothing they can do about it . there was so many they were like flying out of the window Kind of felt unsafe to drink the drink due to that so I ended up just throwing the drink . I also felt that it was unsafe as a customer who's walking out to the environment would be coming out like that. I know that they probably have a lot better reputation. I was so excited to use Black Rock's new mobile app to order my drink ahead of time. The line at this location is always very long (at least 20 mins) Upon arriving, the line at the walk up window was 5 people deep. As I waited, I noticed that no staff were acknowledging the customers waiting. There were customers that had pre-ordered standing in the same line as customers ordering. none of the staff asked if anyone was there to pick up. I waited 15 mins to reach the front (after being cut off by two teens that butted their way to the front and demanded their order, and were helped before me!) Upon asking for my order, the staff couldn't find it, then finally did after another few mins. Unorganized, unhelpful, mismanaged. This location needs training! read more

First time I went got an iced Mexican mocha to play it safe and it was okay. Lacked the Mexican chocolate flavor but it wasn't the worst one I've tried. Second time I went I asked for an Iced Matcha, and omg it was just how like it!! Sadly I guess it was only because of a specific barista that made it because as I came back another time it was really milked down. The place is super inconsistent which I dislike. I was really disappointed when going through the drive thru last night around 7:30pm. The barista over the speaker was having trouble trying to understand our request after we repeated it multiple times. Totally understand when it's super busy it may be difficult for some to work efficiently. But the customer service was terrible, the barista said something along the lines of " what are you trying to say to me". I was really thrown off . Ive never experienced this anywhere. I knew they weren't going to understand our request and at the window another barista was very rude about the situation. Maybe the baristas were stressed out and overworked? So apparently this is a coffee spot that originated in the northwest. Awesome to see that it landed it's way down into Vista. So the place a drive thru hut style coffee spot and although there was a bit of a line it went by quickly. Had about 6 cars ahead of me and I had my drink in less than 10 minutes. The person taking my order was very friendly and so was the person who gave me the order. It's a nice way to start of the day with friendly people. Now to the coffee. I went with the mocha hazelnut coffee they have called the blackout with light ice and an extra shot of espresso and it was delicious! It looks like they have daily deals for certain drinks that are $3 only which looks good. Honestly the Friday deal didn't appeal to me but I will say $3 for a drink at this caliber is a steal!
