First time ever in Maui. This was our 5th day and pizza sounded awesome. While there were other choices with more reviews, sometimes the Guy Fieri poster and boost doesn't really mean the place is going to be that great. This pizza was top notch. The dough was fluffy, crunch and chewy. The topping were all top notch, high quality and the sauce both white and red are obviously made from scratch. It was so beyond tasty. We ate two pizzas in our hotel room, one veggie, artichoke, jalapeños, pineapple with white sauce. Then a supreme with jalapeño instead of bell pepper. It was so good we came back for a second round on the same night. Opting for red sauce, jalapeños, pineapple, olives, adding meat to one half Pepperoni/ham. The service was very friendly and fast, parking was super easy. The inside of was clean with TV and open patio type seating. Will be back here whenever in Maui. read more

We walked in and immediately sat down. We ordered with no line and the staff were super friendly. We got the cheesy bread and it was SO good. We also got the meat lovers pizza and the Huli Huli Chicken Pizza. The meat lovers pizza had so much meat on it! The Huli Huli chicken was super good. We were in and out within less than an hour. Based on Yelp reviews, I expected pizzas to be decent, so I ordered enough to take back with us :) Solid 3.5 for Ribeye roll and pizzas (Local Boy and Mauna Veggie). Service was attentive. Felicia was a one-woman show at 1130. She was friendly and efficient. She was a solid 4. Ambiance was al fresco or indoor seating. We sat outside; it was clean, amenable to dining, and pleasantly fly free due to the surrounding patio misters. Will come back to try more options. read more

Wow 10/10 highly recommend this place for the pizza !!! Came here on a Wednesday night. We ordered, Wings : Honey Pineapple With Jalapeño and Cilantro Hmm the flavor for the wings was delicious however the wings had a lot of fat on them which I didn't appreciate I most likely wouldn't order the wings here again. - Not So Hawaiian Pizza - Meat Lovers Pizza Both pizzas were absolutely delicious as much as I would love to re order both of them, I will definitely try something different next time around just so I can get a taste of everything here because it's just that good. The quality of the cheese and meats was gourmet and so fresh! Service was great food came out fast under 20 minutes, servers were extremely pleasant. Ambiance super chill laid back atmosphere lots of romantic lights and fire torches surrounding us while we ate. Indoor and outdoor options. Two restrooms with a bunch of funny quotes all over. I had a take out order that was placed online for a large pizza with four toppings. It was prepared quickly and available 20 minutes after I placed the order. The pizza toppings were way too sparse and not worth the cost of adding them to the order. There was plenty of red sauce and adequate cheese. We ordered the moa polu, a meat lovers and two orders of chicken wings. The mango sauce on the chicken wings was fabulous. It had a smoky flavor added, also hoisin sauce on the chicken wings, which was very tasty. Their pizza comes with lots of toppings on them. They were very filling for all six of us. We even took some back to our place. They have an outside patio with outdoor summer lights. It is BYOB, so bring your own beverages libations. alcoholic libations if you would like something with your pizza. It was very, very tasty overall. Super nice staff, clean, friendly. Meat lovers pizza it's very good but what I really liked were the wings with the two different sauces on them Hoisin sauce and smoked mango. The wings are very crisp also with great tasting sauce. The staff is very hospitable and friendly and I like the bring your own booze policy for wine or beer. I'll be back! read more

OMG what an awesome place to eat pizza. You order at the counter the pizza that you want and your drinks. You get a number and they will take your food to your table. We ordered a personal pizza and a Custom Made Pizza with Cauliflower Crust since we eat gluten free. That crust was out of this world, you would have never guessed that it was cauliflower. I don't recall the name of the Asst Manager but it was a lady that went above and beyond to correct a mistake with one of our pizzas. Quality of the food was high end. Brick oven Pizzas. The ambiance is relaxed, there are tables outside and inside. Great for groups. Place was clean. Private parking. Definitely the place to eat pizza when in Maui. read more

Our family was in Hawaii and my daughters and their Cousin wanted a Hawaiian pizza. They ordered a large one from here and ordered extra pineapple and paid. I think around four or five dollars for the extra pineapple-when we got the pizza it hardly had any pineapple on it so everyone was a little disappointed. This place has an average rating of 4.5 stars. I think it deserves 5. Black Rock Pizza is about a 12 minute walk from South Maui Gardens. And the ambiance emanates a fun, hip, particularly with the recalcitrant messaging along the signage (my favorite is "All I want is pizza and abs"). The pizza can be customized with an astounding degree of specificity...everything from the crust to the sauce to the amount of cheese. And the toppings of course. I came here to pickup a pizza after a hike. We got the pepperoni rolls, Mac bites, and a pepperoni pizza. Since I just picked up a pizza, I can't speak much to the service, but I can say that those Mac bites were amazing! You get 4 in an order, but I could have eaten 10. The pepperoni rolls also knocked it out of the park! I like that the sauce was on the side for dipping. Their sauce is pretty sweet, so I appreciated that I could sauce the bites myself. Their Mac bites and pepperoni rolls were 5/5! The pizza itself left something to be desired. It was a lot of crust, and the crust wasn't my favorite. I am a crust lover, but it wasn't for me. Our crust was pretty dark, so it's possible it was overcooked. It didn't taste burnt, but it didn't have much flavor at all and was tough. I wish the crust was made out of the same dough used in the Mac bites. The middle of the pizza was good though! I'd come back here again and get 7 orders of Mac bites and pep rolls. read more

The patio drew us in. It felt so inviting and at the time we went, no one else was there. We ordered a salad, a couple pizzas and some wings. The people at the counter were friendly- but the experience itself was odd. You walk in to what feels like the back of the restaurant and order at the counter. Then they bring your food to you. When we arrived we were given menus with a bunch of blue X's through it- indicating they were out of many things. There were a few stray cats running around that kept us all entertained. My veggie head had (1) 1/16th (if even) slice of eggplant about 1 inch diameter on each piece and 1/4 inch thick "slice " of artichoke ... cheese was definitely not any form of the quality mozzarella it has been in the past! My husband's had what was "supposed to be" a spicy pepperoni ... it had (4) 1/4" DOTS of peppercini and 4 micro-thin (micro planed) slices of pepperoni ... surprisingly a fair amount of olives .... I am soooo disappointed for a $40 pizza!!!! from a restaurant that i have always recommended .... I am now doing quite the opposite ... soooo sad!!! read more

The SPAM musubi pizza was delicious and piping hot when it came to the table but we did have to wait over an hour for 2 pizzas since we ordered after 530p. I think the wait was worth it but other in my group were getting cranky. read more

Good pizza, took a while. We called it in to the AI assistant which was fine, took a while for the automated service to get through the call but it worked. Text said 35 mins but when we arrived it was busy and took another 15 mins, was happening to everybody who arrived for pick up. We weren't in a hurry tho so happy to wait. Got a large Maui Waui which was good but very light on the pineapple which is why we ordered it as other reviews said the pineapple was a highlight maybe they were running out as it was near closing time. The service is great and the location is prime in Kihei. The ambiance isn't much but the food makes up for it. Parking is easy too! read more

10/10, Must Try! I was so happily surprised when we were on Maui to find a Black Rock Pizza. We had had it last year in Kona and LOVED it. The salads are awesome and filling. Pizza wise, we ordered a build your own with garlic olive oil, pepperoni, eggplant, olives, and a pesto drizzle. The crust here is the best part, it is fluffy and perfect. The staff here are so friendly and happy to answer any questions or provide recommendations. Love that there is an indoor/outdoor patio in addition to just the outdoor area. Plenty of room for a large party. Come here for pizza towards the start of your trip! You WILL go back! read more

I was happy to see that black rock pizza had vegan options. I got the veggie pizza with vegan cheese and I loved everything about it except the cheese. Part of me wishes I had just omitted it completely because vegan cheese can be notoriously rubbery. Unfortunately this cheese texture wasn't very good, but I still enjoyed the pizza. We loved this spot! It was busy, and Tony did a great job getting us taken care of. We tried a couple pizzas as well as the big island balls. Overall, just eh. The atmosphere is good minus the rogue roosters roaming the restaurant. Tony was full of energy, but almost didnt seem genuine. "My friends" was said about 100 times and according to him everything on the menu was the best or absolutely delicious. Bread sticks were hard, sauce, eh, just ok. Cesar salad isnt Cesar. Its home made poppyseed dressing that is nothing like cesar. Pizzas look incredible but lack any real flavor. Chicken bacon ranch was creamy, but just bland. Meat lovers was loaded, but again lacked seasoning. The hoisin tenders were the best thing we had. The sodas on tap were flat. There is no alcohol here, but instead, kombucha on tap.
