No tables inside but several well maintained spots outside. The ingredients were fresh and the items came out quickly and piping hot. I think the pizza is great for a local spot in Maui. It's close to my home in Makawao. The burgers are very good, not what I expected for smash burgers, however the toppings and buns were fresh. The staff was friendly even when I called over a pricing issue and had no problem explaining and answering questions. I feel like the prices are a tad high but also recognize that everything is getting more expensive. Their sauce and pizza is a little different than I like, but that doesn't mean it's bad! We went there this evening. We were the first ones to arrive before a team and order 2 simple pizzas. We waited over 45 minutes for our order to be ready and every person on the team that had order much after us got theirs first and ours kept just not coming. Our order was clearly skipped. After finally checking on it multiple times it was made and it was definitely very mediocre. Tasted about the same as frozen pizza and definitely not any type of special quality. I wouldn't recommend. 1/10. More than anything due to waiting so long and not even an apology for being completely skipped. read more

Really disappointed by the pizza I got last night. The dough was under proofed and undercooked. Very little cheese, very few mushrooms very little pepperoni, and a few big chunks of pineapple. I rarely take the time to leave a review, but this Pizza needed it. Sad. read more

Pizza wasn't bad - was actually good. I don't really give out five stars unless I'm super blown away, but friendly staff - and food was ready when I showed up. I have zero complaints. Also tried their smash burgers and those are pretty darn good too, I didn't really care for the fries. Maybe next time I'll try the garlic fries. The ones I got were plain and didn't really taste very good - may have been better if they added salt, but overall I'll definitely return for both their pizza and their smash burgers. If on the fence, it's worth trying - not sure where all the one stars came from but it's actually a pretty decent place. read more

Visiting from the mainland, but was put on by Kea after being a great guide. Amazing gluten free options for those in need so huge plus for a group with three celiac diners! Each of those celiac diners also felt that it was one of the better gluten free pizzas they've had in a while, which considering visiting from Chicago I'd say it's quite a feat! We ordered the medium Pizza Fresh Special and added pineapple on half. The pizza was really good, fresh tasting ingredients, and loved the crust which was on the thinner side and crispy just the way we like it! I was shocked when I opened the box. It had a flat, hard crust, spartan toppings, barely enough cheese, and no seasoning at all. The sauce is basically tomato paste. I know times are tough but, I could never go back. If you're looking for a real pizza with generous toppings, complex flavor, and a light, chewy crust, you'll have to look elsewhere. We all love Makawao, and this humble little place surely didn't disappoint. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and a 12 piece order of the garlic Parmesan wings. The pizza -although we ordered just a simple pepperoni- had absolute perfect crust and they didn't hold back on the pepperoni either! Next time we're stoked to try one of their speciality pizzas, they had a lot! The Parmesan wings were flavored excellently, however we would have preferred them a little crispier. I was pleasantly surprised, and so happy I stopped by this place called - Pizza Fresh in Makawao! I was doing a job in the Pukalani Terrace Center yesterday, and when it got around 1:00 PM, I realized we had to stop what we were doing & take a break for lunch, as my coworker & I had been up since 3:30 AM. Originally, my coworker & I was gonna eat at a place called "Mixed Plate" within the Pukalani Terrace Center, but since this place didn't have already made food that day, we opted to go somewhere else to eat, and that is how we ended up at Pizza Fresh. Pizza Fresh is located in a small business plaza (sorry I didn't notice the name of the business center), there is free parking within the business plaza parking lot, that is shared by other businesses. The shop is pretty small, as it's more like a grab & go kinda place. But if you choose to eat at the shop, I did notice there were a few tables & chairs outside of the business, as well as a "counter table" inside the store with a few chairs. Upon walking into the shop, we were greeted right away & the clerk gave us enough time to look over their big menu mounted on the wall. After looking over the menu, I decided to get the Pesto Chicken Sandwich ($9.00), and my coworker got a small Pesto Chicken Pizza ($14.00). To wash down our meals, we got bottled waters ($1.00 each). What can I say about my sandwich? OUTSTANDING!!! To be Frank, I was totally shocked when the clerk brought out my meal, as I was just expecting a sandwich............ But what I actually got with my sandwich was a nice little green salad with some chips, and I must say it was a quality sandwich of great value! The bun was freshly baked, and the ingredients in my sandwich was all so fresh! Unbelievable! (see my pic!) As for coworker, he opted for a pizza.............as he ordered a small Pesto Chicken pizza. When the clerk brought out that pizza, I was shocked at how big the pizza was, as I thought my coworker got a medium pizza! The toppings used were pretty similar to my sandwich, as his pizza had fresh grilled chicken breast, red onions, Feta, fresh garlic, on Pesto. Overall, a wonderful dining experience! Love their pizza, but just know they are chronically always out of pineapple. I pray one day pineapple makes it back to their store.

I placed my order for a large pizza one evening about 45 minutes before closing time, and then waited in the parking lot. Then at 7:59, one minute before closing, I saw some hurried movement inside the restaurant, and then all the lights went out. Realizing the time, I got out of my car and ran to the door. I knocked as loudly as i could and looked through the window, but all the lights were out inside, and the restaurant was apparently deserted. When I got in touch by phone with the same girl who sold me the pizza, she lied to me, & tried telling me that they waited for 20 minutes past closing and looked everywhere for me. Insanity. I was there. I know what happened, and I had 2 friends with me at the time, both of whom will attest to what really happened. My wife then called, trying to be reasonable, saying that if they didn't want to remake our pizza or refund our money, then they could at least dig what remained of our original one out of the dumpster. After all, we paid for it (and tipped 20% . . . sadly). That makes it our property, and by refusing to hand it over, Pizza Fresh had effectively robbed us of our money. But, the "manager" just kept saying "I can't hear you", & then hung up. When my wife tried to call back, she learned that her # had been blocked. We proceeded to go there in person, only to find the restaurant closed....& right at the start of the dinner rush (The time-stamp in 1 of my pics shows 6:05pm), simply because my wife had told her that she was coming to the restaurant (so she COULD hear her over the phone--no surprise there). read more

SIGH. Just placed our last order at our neighborhood pizza place - no, not because they closed down, but because they used up their 3 strikes with us today all in one fell swoop: Strike 1: Called to order delivery over the phone because new online interface says "anything placed in Special Instructions box will not be honored"- new girl said delivery can only be done online, then proceeded to take my order over the phone to compare to my online order because she was "new" and doesn't know a lot yet. Strike 2: Asked for a text upon delivery because we were both still working and don't answer personal phone calls. No text...ends up leaving our order on the ground in our yard in front of a door we never use. I had to call them to find it. Strike 3: Husband's Upcountry Salad is missing the Bleu Cheese, which is why he ordered it. Called again to advise that Bleu Cheese is missing. New girl doesn't know what to do so she passes me off to the drop n go delivery dude who tells me they're out of Bleu Cheese and why didn't the girl tell me that? I say ok, so can we return this? He then passes me off to "Randy" who after arguing with the other 2, says "We have Bleu Cheese, sorry bout that". So I say ok, so could you bring some back for us because that's the part of the salad my husband really wants. Randy then says (I kid you not) "Well isn't that a little EXTREME? I mean it's our fault but...you're kidding right?" ‍ Mind you we live less than a half-mile from this place and use delivery regularly to support the drivers - then he says how bout we just give you 50% off next time? I said how bout just refunding us for the salad now? After being told that if they dropped off the cheese then "that will take care of this then right?" I just gave up. The Bleu Cheese was eventually dropped off... but the lack of customer service and negative attitude just sealed the deal for us... so sad because we've been patronizing this place for years. read more

I called to inquire about my order and he said he put it under the cheese , well there was hardly any cheese. After lifting up the cheese we found 1 salami. So he was right, he did put the salami but for the extra charge as it is a double charge because it's salami, would of appreciated a fair amount. Why would all the other ingredients be above the cheese where you can see it and the salami be buried under the cheese feel cheated! None the less the pizza really didn't have any taste. I ordered 2 pizzas Friday night before they closed. They took the order and we paid for 2 pizzas. We came back to pick the pizzas up and they were closed. We did not receive a courtesy call to come and pick up. We had to go to Foodland and buy more frozen pizza to feed my kids. They called the next day to say they put our pizzas in the Fridge and could come pick them up. Not exactly Pizza Fresh. I called them today (Sunday) and they told me they will not reimburse my money, and that our pizzas are still in the fridge. The lady I spoke with informed me that the OWNER said not to reimburse me. I've owned a business for 25 years and the first thing I do if there is a problem with a client is make it right to them so they come back and buy my products. My coworkers and I decided to try out a new restaurant for lunch yesterday in the Makawao area. We decided on Pizza Fresh, which turned out to be this great little find that served us pretty "fresh" healthy dishes. I had the upcountry greens apple salad, which was quite tasty, although the vinaigrette dressing was a little on the salty side for me. My friend Sandy had a salad sandwich combo, which looked pretty tasty and my other coworker had a turkey wrap, which she just raved about. We were looking for a quick stop to grab some food after a four hour adventure. Found this place and I'm still regretting it. The menu is pretty varied with a wide variety of choices. But, that's where the positive ends. It is small with few places to sit. But, if you go, don't stay to eat. You will regret noticing how dirty this restaurant is in front and in back. You can see into the kitchen where food is made and it is as dirty as the front. The young man at the register managed to say three or four words to us the whole time we were there and he even took our order and delivered our food.
