Looking for the best pizza of your life? Check out Maui Slice! After taking a hopper for explore Maui for the first time, my mom and I were looking to fill the void with some tasty food. Driving the Road to Hana complicates things as there aren't many places to stop for a real meal for sometimes hours at a time. After finally getting some signal again for the first time since Hana, we elected to give Maui Slice a try. The place itself is rather unassuming, but don't let that fool you. We were the only patrons during the time we were there and had a view of the valley to ourselves. The service was top-notch, and pricing was fair especially for Hawaii. There was one employee working serving a variety of 19" pies as well as individual slices. After a short period of time, we received our deluxe pizza. The quality was superb from the crispy-yet-still-doughy crust, to the flavorful sauce, the perfect amount of cheese, and the deliciously cooked premium toppings. Great pizza and great price. My wife and I grabbed a couple of slices prior to heading up to Haleakala. I had the Maui and BBQ chicken. She had a slice of the cheese. I would say all the slices were good but were missing something that would make them great. I would happily eat here again and for the price it's a great deal! read more

Amazing, especially considering the location. It is off Hwy 37 right around the turnoff for Haleakala. Just a couple miles out of the way. Do yourself a favor and drive those couple of miles. The pizza has a nice flavor and a nice crisp crust on the bottom. Served quick and hot. Prices not too bad. I'll go ahead and play the 'I'm from NJ card where we do take these things seriously. Never got a chance to really go around Kula side because I always felt the ride was FAR from all the other places I would stop to eat at. Skipped Wailuku and was able to visit a lot of the shops. Searched FOOD on Yelp and this pizza place popped up. IM SOOOO GLAD IT DID. Outdoor scenery with alot of the greenery around you. Pretty nice. Pizza made from scratch?! Concoctions like no other. My friend and I wanted pizza for lunch and I saw the reviews for Maui Slice, which is just down the road from where he lives. There weren't many reviews, and all were 5-stars, which made my friend suspicious. I wanted to check it out. What a find! This pizza truck is only a few months in business (I am writing this in mid-January, 2023), hence the paucity of reviews. The whole pizza is huge and well-made. They have a propane pizza oven. Three or four tables with a nice view down from Kula, or you can take home, which we did. Toppings were great, owners were friendly, we did a half-and-half pizza. The crust was soft, making for a foldable slice, and the edge of the crust was perfect. If you like your pizza with a crunchy crust, ask them to cook it a little longer. We have had pizza at the other places in the Kula area, and this is the best! read more

This is hands down some of THE BEST pizza on island! Perfect thin crispy crust and top notch toppings. We ordered an entire pie and it was plenty for 3 people. The views are absolutely stunning too! Seriously it's worth the drive up country to grab a slice (or pie) and sit back and soak up the views. There's plenty of parking and tables/ chairs set up. Great for family or date night. We've lived on Maui for about 15 years, moved here from Jersey. I'm from the Bay Area in California, my wife is to the bone East Coast, Manhattan and Western Mass. As you can imagine, we take our pizza pretty seriously. Having written this, you can understand how pleased we were to see a full blown Bakers Pride double deck unit behind the prep trailer, while inside said trailer owner Greg was hand throwing fresh dough. We both agreed, the man knows his pies. Built upon a damned fine thin crust (avoid thin crusts in Cali, btw, I never had a good one until I moved east, now I swear by them), the final product was a delightful, fresh ingredient multi sensory assault.
