The standout for our family was definitely the Kids' Meal. At $12, it has to be the best deal on the island--it even includes a drink and dessert. My kids absolutely ate it up, which is always a win. The environment is very laid-back and casual with an open-air setup that lets you see the ocean while you eat. We loved that we could just walk right in without a wait, and the service was very friendly. They also have a convenient spot on the side where they sell pizza by the slice if you're in a hurry. Honestly, this pizza isn't the greatest you'll find, but it's not terrible either. It's located in the heart of Wailea and when you're staying there with a family, kids especially, pizza is an easy option. We had really decent service the two times we went there, and the pizza came out in about 20-30 mins each time. It wasn't bad pizza, it was good, it just wasn't great. We came in late at night hungry and decided to try Manoli's Pizza Company. The pizza itself was actually really good, and the place was clean and nice but unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. We waited about 10-15 minutes just to be acknowledged while staff stood around looking at us without saying anything. When someone finally came over, we asked about dining in and got a very unsure response with a lot of hesitation and no clear answer. It didn't get better from there. We sat at the bar next to a couple of girls who weren't impressed with their pizza... naturally, I had to try a slice. It was a decent Hawaiian slice--cold, since it was theirs and not fresh out the oven--so call it a spot rating: 6/10. Nothing mind-blowing, but totally fine if you're craving pizza. Manolis has been a mainstay for us and always a good experience. Food was never amazing but with the atmosphere and view we accepted just ok food. We went in last night for our usual visit and we were very disappointed. Service was slow and not great, they forgot things we ordered until we had to ask a second time after half the meal was over. The pizza has gone way downhill, crust is paper thin and not cooked through, way too much cheese and very little flavor over all. Drinks were dive bar quality if that. We used to come here often but we had not been here for over a year. I saw that they have Happy Hour from 12:00 - 5:00 so we thought we would go there to check it out. We love the location and outdoor seating next to the golf course and always prefer to sit at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and gave great service. My husband's favorite beer is Bud Light and for the last year or two, few places carry it. He was very happy to see that Manoli's has Bud Light on tap! We loved our choices of Happy Hour food also. Manoli's is located above the clubhouse and next to the pro shop for the Wailea Blue golf course. It's a breezy, open air location with decent but not great views. We arrived at 5:30 pm with a large group (7) and were immediately seated. At first I wondered why there were so few diners and I was a bit concerned that they all knew something I didn't. But that concern dissipated quickly once the food and drink began arriving. Manoli's makes GREAT pizza - thin, crisp crusts with exceptional toppings and sauce. The chicken wings are also something you've got to try! Crisp, meaty, and a delicious breading. Our Mai Tai's were great as was the IPA. The kids menu was just OK and could use some improvement. Manolis couldn't even execute a simple take out order correctly. We walked up to the take out counter, ordered 1 pepperoni pizza and garlic mozzarella sticks. Girl at the counter asked for my cell number so she could text me when it was ready. I paid and sat down outside. 10 minutes went by, 15, 20, finally at 25 minutes I walked back in to check on my order. It was ready. I mentioned I never received a text and was told "oh, were just so busy". Sorry that's no excuse. It wouldn't be a problem but for whatever reason my order wasn't put in the warming oven with the rest of the takeout orders. So our pizza was luke warm and the garlic bread had congealed cheese on it. Not melted, it was solidified again. For what they charge I expect standard customer service at a minimum. We had such a wonderful time at Manoli's! Our server, Josh, was truly exceptional. He had this calm, kind, and wise presence that made our meal feel extra special. You can tell he has real Maui pride, so genuine and kind-hearted. The food was outstanding. For a cheese pizza you can do much better going to the grocery store and grabbing a frozen one if I'm being honest. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm--like the kind of people who'd help you change a tire in the rain and then offer you banana bread. If customer service were pizza, they'd be deep-dish perfection. Now, onto the actual pizza. We ordered three: two regular and one gluten-free, because we like to live dangerously and test the limits of culinary optimism. The Regulars The crust was... present. It existed. It held the toppings in place, which is technically its job, but flavor-wise? It was like chewing on a memory of bread. The sauce had all the intensity of a motivational whisper--no tang, no zest, just a vague tomato suggestion. The one redeeming hero? The pepperoni. That little disc of joy had actual flavor, like it had trained in Italy and come back with stories. The Gluten-Free This one deserves its own paragraph, if only for the trauma. I've had gluten-free pizzas that made me question my life choices, but this one made me question the entire gluten-free movement. It was dry, flavorless, and somehow managed to taste like disappointment and cardboard had a baby. If sadness were a crust, this would be it. Final Thoughts Manoli's is a lovely spot with great vibes and even better people. But if you're coming for the pizza, maybe recalibrate your expectations. Or bring your own sauce. The Personal Trainer pizza is incredible -- easily one of the best thin-crust pizzas I've had. Perfectly crisp, flavorful, and just the right balance of toppings. The first two times I came, the service was amazing -- friendly, fast, and super attentive. I even brought friends both times and we had such a great time. But on my most recent visit, the experience just didn't match up. I was excited to bring another friend and show them how great this place was, but it fell flat. The server was new (I think), and the service was super slow even though the place was mostly empty before dinner rush. We waited way too long, and somehow people who came in after us got their food first. Personally their homemade meatball was a bit salty was not impressed at all, the sauce and bread around it was amazing, the meatball itself...I wouldn't recommend it. When the pizza finally came out, it just wasn't the same -- less cheese, sauce, and toppings than usual, and it lacked the flavor I enjoyed just the day before. I asked for extra sauce and was charged for it, which felt a bit off given how different the pizza was from my previous visit. Been coming here for a few years now so I'll share our favorite order for the perfect date night: Starters- cheesy garlic bread & Caesar salad The cheesy garlic bread is on a hearty slice of bread and comes with their delicious marinara sauce for dipping. The Caesar dressing is so fresh and vibrant and comes with plenty of crisp romaine and croutons. Share- Pepperoni pizza, we like the crust a little bit well done.
