Dishonest business that I don't recommend. Here's why: Long story short, I paid for a full interior/exterior detail package that wasn't provided as described, offered, and verbally stated. Basically, there was no polishing or waxing of the vehicle which promised by the owner and as offered in the description of the service. While the vehicle looked good upon pickup, I immediately noticed the paint didn't feel smooth as I felt the paint. Typically, it feel smooth to the touch if polished/waxed properly. Later that night, I asked the owner if he polished it and he responded with yes, but that he would ask his brother. He never got back to me. I texted him again, and he later responded saying he did, in fact, wax it using an orbital pad. At this point, his delay and response didn't feel right. I then remembered that we have a 2 channel dash cam that records motion settings. Upon downloading and reviewing the video, I noticed that they never turned off my vehicle, leaving the dashcam to record the entire detail process. Well, after reviewing the entire footage of the front and rear dash cams, I can attest that they never waxed my vehicle as promised. All they did was use quick detail spray and a wipe-down for the exterior. In fact, the polishing orbital dewalt tool sat on a table the entire time and was never used. I attempted to bring this to the Owner's attention and resolution in good faith. Owner is adamant that the service was fully provided and fulfilled. I advised I have video to prove it and he requested to see it. I provided several clips and the timeline as requested. Upon seeing the clips, he responded with text in an upset tone and threatened me that it is illegal to record anyone in Oregon. He reluctantly offered to refund me even when I attempted to compromise to pay him for the remainder of the services, less cost to wax/polish. Well fast forward 8 days later, refund still not received. When I texted to ask on the status, the Owner's response stated, "Sent last Friday." I have yet to receive my refund as promised by the Owner. For context, detail occurred on 1/26. Owner offered to send out refund full amount on Friday, 2/1. As of Friday, 2/15/19, refund still not received. In my opinion, I've offered nearly 3 weeks of time for the Owner to "own up" to his responsibility before posting a review. At this point, since a promised refund was not received, I have no choice but to post this review for others to see. Buyers beware. read more

These guys are amazing! I had some bad luck parking at the economy airport lot with two vehicles. They were doused by sprinklers leaving hard water spots on black paint. I attempted to hand wash the vehicles and was unsuccessful in removing the spots. I recommend this service. They picked up and dropped off my car. Everything was done the way I wanted, on short notice, and in the time frame quoted. The most amazing part was all the pine needles stuck in my carpet were GONE! That's no easy task. I was not able to do it myself. Great job guys! They removed all dirt, didn't tear my upholstery or carpet up, irrigated/ cleaned/ dried my soiled passenger seat, found things I didn't know were lost in my car, and made the outside look like candy. I also appreciate their communicating with me the way I like, and answering all my questions. My car looks like candy and smells clean. We had our RAV4 interior cleaned by Tilo and his brother back in January. We had just purchased the car from my grandparents and the vehicle was so dirty from 10 years of NO cleaning, dogs loving on the seats, etc. It smelled so bad and I was worried nobody would be willing to clean it! Luckily, Tilo was up for the challenge!!! They picked it up and dropped it back off- SO HELPFUL! They got it looking SO much better and although there were some things they couldn't do, he explained why some things weren't able to be done (getting the smell out of the cushions, some stains, etc.) He recommended we replace the foam and replace the cabin filter and suggested some places we could go. We are hoping to have our other car cleaned by Tilo and his brother too. Customer service, price, and quality is all top notch. read more

My mini van was a sticky, crumbly, hairy mess and it looks brand spanking new. I am absolutely blown away by the attention to detail - I didn't think my van could ever look good again after 20k miles of road trips with our toddler and 150 lb English Mastiff. I dropped off at 11 and it was finished by 530. Tilo was super helpful and nice and apologized for taking so long but actually I was expecting that seeing as how bad it was. read more

If you are new to this pick up- drop off detailing service you will be happy to finally have one you might even tell yourself you will be a regular. We also gave five stars for the first car, which is pretty much brand new car and not much to do. Who knows how little work they put in, but it came back shiny and service was awesome. With the second car, service was the opposite. The interior was not clean especially under kid booster seat appeared a lot of bread crumbs left. We contacted to owner to let him know thought his worker might forgot this part, but he insisted that it's been done which mean I lied. That's not it... a little later, we realized that extra $150 fabric treatment was a scam! Drizzled rain and damp clothes made unbelievable water stains. When he picked up the car the detailing owner convinced us over and over that his treatment will last for years protecting and repelling liquid off new fabric seat. So we texted him and thought he would just say he will retreat it with no charge nope he just said something like it's too far out from the date of service. Basically he didn't want to be responsible for his work. Obviously he might have done nothing to the seats-- bread crumbs under booster seat have clearly proved. So if you are on the fence for this Black Tie and owner Tilo, go for it you will likely get good service as new customers. Don't get hooked you will be disappointed after, just like few reviews here mentioned. This business model doesn't seem smart. Return customers are all about good reputation and free advertising. Too bad he gets the opposite and we now on a search for his competitors. read more

We took our GMC Acadia to these guys and they ROCKED IT! These guys have a gift for attention to detail that makes an art out of detailing a car. I'm not kidding, our car was a disaster and has been well loved through road trips, 3 kids (2 Tweenagers and a 2 year old) and when we picked it up, it looked better than the day we bought it! The price was very reasonable and the service was super quick for the amount of work that needed to be done. Tilo and his team use top of the line products, and he even showed me the Landa Hot Water Pressure Washer that they use to get all the grease off of everything. He even made my engine compartment look brand new! I have never encountered such excellence and pride in vehicle services. These guys are amazing! My kids spilled an entire marionberry lemonade in the backseat of my car and it was absolutely everywhere- dripping down where the seat belts latch and in every possible nook and cranny. I found Black Tie Detail on Yelp and blindly gave them a call. They called back in seconds and offered to take care of it immediately. They had assured me they could fix it, but I had my doubts. I was there in 15 minutes and they got started cleaning it right away. About 20 minutes later, my backseat was immaculate. It honestly looked better than when I bought the car six months ago! There was literally no sign of the spill. I highly recommend Black Tie to anyone who needs quality detailing done. They are kind, honest, and have hyper-focused attention to detail. I can't speak highly enough of Tilo and the company. We have a Yukon XL that had been absolutely RAVAGED by our three kids who are all under 5 years old. Juice in the carpet, crackers ground into the rug, peanut shells, cookies....just an absolute disaster. We had gone on a long road trip and our car's interior paid a high price. I was actually so embarrassed for them to see how bad it really was. Tilo picked up the car, was so kind, and worked his magic!!! It looks like it's straight from the factory. It's absolutely transformed. I'm shocked at how immaculate it is! I thought there was no hope for it and he made it look brand new!! I've used one other service before and they did nowhere nearly as good of a job as Black Tie. The service did not shampoo the carpets or wash and wax the exterior. Tilo did it ALL! Their pricing is completely fair and you get a lot of bang for your buck. They are thorough and really work to do a transformative job to the car. First off, i scheduled an appointment to have my vehicle detailed inside and waxed outside... the works. I also paid to have the headlights restored. First impression that I received was not so great as they were late for the appointment. We discussed what would be completed and I handed over the keys. When it was time to pick up, my vehicle was parked outside in the rain which really prevented me from seeing the wax job. I was told that the engine bay would be cleaned which it looked like it was just wiped down. That the headlights would be restored by wet sanding and applying a clear coat. On my inspection, the headlights felt like they were not touched. The old clearcoat was still on there (peeling off) and if it was wet sanded, the edge of the clearcoat would've been smoothed out. My expectation was that it would be completely removed but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After discussing how it all went and paying over $300 for the work, I took my vehicle home. I sat in my truck and started to notice that the interior was not up to expectations also. They did a great job cleaning the carpets. But the dashboard looked like it was just wiped down. There was still dog hair sitting above the gauge cluster. The headliner was still dirty and some of the trim was still dirty. I was able to remove some of the grime from the trim with my finger which tells me, they didnt do the work that was promised. I sent the owner a text asking if the headliner was cleaned and he said yes but they could not scrub hard because of the thin fabric. I completly understand. I then sent him a picture of how dirty it still was... No reply. When I say dirty, im not talking about imbedded dirt, but dust and stuff that i could remove by hand. They didn't do the work. I have my truck waxed and detailed at least once a year, and I know how rain acts on a freshly waxed vehicle. The water on the truck is not sliding off like it would when waxed from another shop I go to. I am afraid to find out what it looks like the next time it's dry. Overall, I feel like I have been ripped off. Lack of professionalism and mediocre workmanship has killed my trust and I will not be returning. I am giving them a 2 star rating because the truck is cleaner than when I gave it to them, but they failed to meet my expectaions in all aspects. There are many other shops in the area, I suggest that you shop elsewhere. read more

I couldn't believe my eyes when I got my car today after it had been detailed. I honestly can't remember it ever looking that good before! It literally sparkled in the sunlight. They responded really quickly to my request for info, I got an appointment right away and they even drove me and picked me up from the Bridgeport Shopping Center so that I had something to do while they worked on my car. Their pricing was actually less than I expected because I called other places, and they worked really hard on a truly filthy (inside AND out) car. These guys are amazing. From start to finish this was a perfect experience and I will never go anywhere else. Oh, and the icing on the cake is that they are genuinely nice people. Friendly, respectful, helpful and kind. O M GEEEEEEE I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS MY SAME CAR!!! To give you an idea of how disgusting my car was, in the past two years, it has been vacuumed twice (Not thoroughly) and washed once. I have a white dog. I recently drove it across country. With my dog. It literally smelled like a garbage can. When I got my dog a year ago, I gave up washing it. I didn't know how to keep up with all the dirt and hair. I didn't take before pictures because 1) I was embarrassed and 2) I honestly didn't think the outcome would be this spectacular. I searched Yelp and google and came across Tilo. I liked his before and after photos. A couple reviews on google weren't the best, but I'm telling you-forget those! I messaged Tilo last night on Yelp and today I essentially have a brand new car. I mean look at the freaking photos! I can't believe it! He even drove to my house and picked up my car and dropped it off this evening. I'm really disappointed. I have used Black Tie a few times and the last time I prepaid for all 3 of my cars to be done. The day they were supposed to pick up the third they never showed up, when I reached out they said they "forgot" they had "a boat to do" that day which is not good business, but I understand sometimes mistakes are made. However, after numerous attempts to reschedule I still have not had my car detailed, and they are not returning my text messages either (notice it's April now....this was supposed to be done LAST SEPTEMBER). It's really sad to me that they won't even answer my texts to a-clean the car or b-refund my money for the final car that was paid for but never cleaned. read more

Recently had my wife's car detailed. It probably had 5 years of dog hair grounded in the floor mats (simple vaccums were no longer doing the trick). Dropped the car off and by that evening it was hardly recognizable. Cleaner than the day it was purchased from the dealer! Had the 1999 Land Rover detailed and it has been a while. Tilo did an amazing job on the rover. I know it can't look like it came off the assembly line anymore, but boy did it get cleaned up well. Door Jams, the center console that had little crumbs imbedded in it were completely gone. I would recommend him to my friends. Comes to pick up your car, gets it detailed and then returns it back to you. My car is about a year old and was needing some love. This is my first ever brand new car and I was a bit horrified about how it looked. A tree somewhere dripped sap all over it and somehow it got some paint on it. I had no idea that trees were drippy. That they had the ability to damage your paint job. What? What? Where is this evil tree? I don't remember it. Ugh. I was desperate to get my car looking fabulous again and black tie did a great job. They cleaned my car inside and out. There was only one spot that wasn't able to be fixed and it was very small. I would highly recommend black tie as they do a great job and if you need a ride Tilo is friendly and will give you a ride home. I highly recommend this shop. Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I went it to get my car cleaned. They're right by my work so I thought I'd give them a try. I left my girl friends Valentine's Day gift in the glove box and when I got my car back it was gone. I told the manger and he said there's nothing they can do ??? Umm idk check a camera ask someone if they saw anything. Anyways I see the necklace on offer of that same night and I contact the police. I call them to let them know what I found, next thing I now the guy stops replying to my emails and deleted his post. So instead of asking your employee to return it you ask them to delete the post. These guys are amazing! I have two small kids who I let eat in my car. We hauled a load to the dump and I needed help ASAP! Some of the garbage spilled and it was so so gross. They went the extra mile by pulling up my spare tire and finding the source. They got ride of the smell and cleaned every inch of my car even under my nasty food filled seats. I had bad water spots on my car due to sprinklers. I thought they would never come off as I tried a bunch of different methods. Black Tie got it shining like brand new. They even cleaned the inside as a courtesy. They worked very fast and offered the most fair and honest price of all the quotes I received. Tilo and his brother (I'm sorry I don't know his name) are friendly people and you can tell they love cars and the work they do. I will be back and my friend will also be bringing his car over. After a very long summer of a bunch of teenage girls, trips to the beach, snacking in the car and 2 dogs--my Lexus SUV was a disaster. Even after taking it to several auto cleaners, it still looked dirty. The dashboard crevices were dusty, in between the seats there were crumbs and dog hair that couldn't be pulled out and the undersides of the the car were full of debris and the chrome wheels/ body paint was dull and showed scratching. When I went to Black Tie I told them: "Just be straightforward with me. If you can't fully bring this back to looking like new--I want to know now". They were very diligent in asking me my specific concerns and assuring me that, even though the dog hair and the minute dust particles that had gathered everywhere are hard to get out, they will work on it to make sure I was completely satisfied. When I went to pick up my car...WOW. I could have driven that car directly to a car dealership for a trade-in. It was fantastic. Better yet, several weeks later, it still looks great! I will be back in 6 months for another detail job. Finally!! An auto detailing company that actually completes the job. I will be recommending them to family/friends and clients. We went on a 2400 mile road trip in our 18 month old Corolla. About 25 of the miles were over dirt & gravel logging roads. We also ran over more than enough road kill. Had an SUV detailed for interior only. Overall pretty satisfied! They got the carpets/cloth seats/headliners cleaned like I wanted. Even did a quick cleaning of the outside without extra charge. Didn't quite know what to expect though, so I did notice tiny details (e.g. corners of compartments, seat belt retract, other plastic components, etc.) getting missed. Phenomenal job! I live in Portland but the drive to Sherwood just for a detail was MORE THAN WORTH THE TRIP. Lent my car to some friends for a big camping trip and it suffered more dust exposure than one can imagine, inside and out. The guys took less time than estimated and my car LOOKED LIKE NEW!
