I had Black Dog's BBQ at a wedding last night and it was absolutely delicious!!! I will be stopping by their brick and mortar when I get out that way!!! Staff that brought the food was awesome!

Came back and this place didn't miss! We ordered the Brisket Burnt Ends and they were mouth watering tender! I really enjoyed the bacon and blue cheese burger. Service was great as always. Definitely recommend this place.

The best filet mignon ever !!!! Paired with the best servers ever and this is one step below heaven!!

We always come back for the burnt ends when we visit Forest Grove. My son attends Pacific University and this is one of his favorite spots. Portions are awesome and the BBQ is outstanding! Our service was so sweet on this visit!

We have heard positive comments about Blackdog Bar and Grill so we thought we would give it a try. We are really glad we did. The food is flavorful, a great value and portions are huge. My daughter had the two meats from the barbecue part of the menu...the brisket and the ribs. Both were so great and plentiful, and there are left overs to be enjoyed. She also enjoyed the mac and cheese that was served with the barbecue plate. I had the fried chicken and it was also excellent, and I also have left overs for later. We both had french fries and they were crispy and hot. The pre-dinner cocktails were also perfect, with fresh fruit as the garnish. The dining room is set-up a bit odd. There is a considerable amount of empty space when entering and the main seating area is off to the side. They also had a considerable amount of customers come in during our visit as the service was a bit slower. The house salad we ordered came with our food...but it is still a 5 star visit. The server Noel was so sweet and knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu.

Each and every time we have stopped in here it has been a tasty surprise. They have great drinks and lots of food options. Food prices are on the higher end of things but you aren't at Chili's either. They serve some pretty delicious items that we didn't expect. Their BBQ is decent, brisket was legit and if you are a glutton for punishment I dare you to try their chicken wings with the "Sympathy for the Devil" sauce. Service varies but overall friendly. Cheers!

My eldest daughter and I called in our order carefully and clearly--I personally listened as she read everything slowly to make sure it was correct. Despite that, we got home and found multiple items missing. We picked up the food around 8:05, and by the time we realized the issue and came back, it was about 8:12. The lights were on and employees were clearly still there, so there was no reason to assume they were closed, especially given how unclear their hours are. My daughter went back calmly--CALMLY--just asking for a refund or for the order to be fixed. Instead of helping, Alexis came to the window aggressive from the start, yelling, blaming us, and refusing to take any responsibility. She even had the nerve to say we should have checked the order in the parking lot. That is NOT the customer's job. It got even worse when Alexis started accusing my daughter of recording, when she was simply taking a photo of her incorrect food. The entire situation was handled in the most hostile, defensive, and unprofessional way imaginable. Yes, restaurants make mistakes--that's not the issue. It's the disgusting attitude and treatment that followed. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated in any business. Completely inappropriate, completely unacceptable. 1/5. I will never come back.

Visited on a Friday lunchtime. We were the only people there at first but the take-out business was jumpin' with calls coming in every few minutes. We waited maybe 20 minutes, which seemed totally fair given the care and attention given to making our order. During the wait perused all the license plates on the wall and watched them work the grill. The owner and his wife plus son (?) were all so friendly. Appreciated their giving us a heads up about how big the food would be and not risk over-ordering. We had a a plain hotdog (with fries) and a plain cheeseburger (with fries) and they were both tasty despite the kids ordering literally the most blah things on the menu. Located in the downtown Forest Grove area, close to Pacific University. Seems like a local hangout, and now issues finding parking, as we've always found street parking in front of the place. As we entered, it wasn't very busy, and no one greeted us at the entrance. But no big deal really, as the waitress (possibility manager) sat us at a table close to the kitchen. Service was pleasant and courteous, and on-point with the water refills. The dining area was pretty large and clean. I can only imagine, pre-pandemic, how popular this place would have been. Second time here, unfortunately no a/c to cool the place down. The guy serving us busted his arse to keep the place open for business. We had small samples bites and wanted to leave. $11 Korean BBQ Boneless Wings were glazed up good and not too hot in my opinion. However, the menu offers a lot to choose from, and the pricing is reasonable. Thus far I have not been upset with any of the dishes I've ordered. Would I come back? Yes, it's still a decent spot to hang out at, so long as there's good air flow and nice weather outside.

You can go to most locations and get the same items with a few unique things to that location. My friend I go to shows with a lot is vegan so we know she can get a solid meal and they're usually open late too since we're food hunting around 10ish. I wasn't familiar with the layout of the grounds and it can be a challenge to get around in the pitch dark. We were coming in 1030pm on a Saturday and it is a venue. Unfortunately, I followed the directions. The powers that be put a huge EXIT ONLY sign at the parking lot entrance. I figured, looking at my GPS, that they were directing traffic to the back of the grounds so that people like us were not met with a bunch of cars coming right at them, trying to get out after the concert since this is also a hotel and restaurants/bars that people stay at or eat/drink at who have nothing to do with the concert. Fast forward a solid 15-20 minutes where my GPS was pointing the way, and I could clearly see where we needed to go... BUT they had a giant fence with padlocks blocking the road meaning that the only road in was the one blocked with the EXIT ONLY sign. So, I backed up and found a tiny service road to come towards that exit sign from the other side - and someone had actually moved the sign, so it wasn't completely blocking the road anymore. I imagine it was from the people trying to get out because the way that the sign had been placed blocked the road from going in or out! I was worried as we got a message from friends we were supposed to meet there saying that they had given up and that the parking lot was a complete disaster area. They said they were not able to find anything even remotely close to the restaurant. My friend got the text as we found the front of the building and I have an ADA tag. I drove right up seeing the entire ADA parking was empty except one other car. Then we were commenting at least they have iron railing to walk up the stairs... but oh wait, there's a ramp! So easy... although I could have done without the different two older people literally stepping on my foot with zero acknowledgement at all. I have a partially disconnected Achilles on that side so thanks for that. At least they didn't step on my cane? The staff were all so lovely... so helpful with our questions and making certain we had everything. I am not a vegan and went for a burger. I'm a huge fan of the dungeon burger... mushrooms & Swiss... and I love a place that asks me how I want my burger cooked - medium please! That grilled flavor is great. And a nice pile of tots. I'm even OK with a steady flow of RC cola. We were pretty surprised at how mellow everything was considering they'd had a major concert. There were a pair of ladies at the bar. I wandered to use the restroom as one was telling the other that she should clearly light that dude on fire as I was passing. Coming out and the tables had turned to talking about the other gals unfortunate dating life. I hope they both dump those dudes - ladies, you are both lovely, ditch the jerks!

It seemed like our server had little to no training or customer service skills. We came in with a small company lunch group of five, and it took over an hour to receive our food. In total, we were there for 2 1/2 hours before we could finally leave. The food was just okay, but the service completely overshadowed it. The location itself is really cool, but unfortunately, the staff and overall experience were not. The managers walked around as if nothing was wrong, even though multiple tables--including ours--were visibly frustrated. We kept looking around in disbelief at how poor the service was and couldn't understand why no one stepped in to help. Here are just a few of the issues we experienced: #1 We weren't given enough silverware. #2 We didn't receive plates for our appetizers. #3 We were charged for a basket of tater tots that we were told would be "on the house" because of the long wait. #4 Our sweet potato fries were forgotten, but we were still charged for them. At that point, we just wanted to leave. #5 Our server disappeared for 20 minutes at a time and rarely checked on us. #6 Several other customers around us also appeared frustrated with the service. #7 Our waters and Sprites were mixed up. #8 Our food orders were delivered to the wrong people. I've always enjoyed McMenamins, but this location was a huge disappointment. I hope management takes a serious look at the level of training, supervision, and customer service at this location because it simply wasn't acceptable.
