Just by reading the reviews I know Dr. Chacon has kept up quality dentistry. Unlike the office where he began, Bancroft Dental Care, where quantity seems more important than quality. After being gone from CA for 17 years, its great to see you still have Frances, Chris & Erin. That in itself is a testimony of the type of dentistry you provide. Writing this 1 hour after getting two fillings with the CO2 laser-- it was so fun! I know that sounds strange, but going to Chacon was the best dental experience I've ever had. After a recent tooth cleaning I learned unfortunately I had 2 cavities which needed fillings. Fearful of drills, I scoured the internet for alternate treatments and discovered laser dentistry. You can do filling prep and dental surgery with CO2 lasers! (It might even be the future of dental care-- there's active research into lasers being able to not only cut teeth but also heal them.) It looked like Solea makes the best CO2 lasers, so I used their dentist finder tool to find Chacon Dental Studio. Their office is an hour and half away from me, but I had to do it. And I'm so glad I did! The staff were the kindest people, and the laser was sick as expected. No numbing shot, just some cold air blowing for 10 minutes. Note the filling itself was polished by drill, but it was painless. All in all this practice is great. Check it out! :) read more

BEST DENTAL OFFICE EVER!!!!!! Had to have a filling done yesterday and I actually looked forward to it. I had a filling done last year and they used their CO2 LASER to do it with, which didn't even require getting a shot. It only took about 15 mins and I was done. No pain at ALL...No after effect of a fat lip or soreness when the shot wears off and I could eat lunch right after my appointment with no fear of biting my lip. I can't tell you how much I dreaded going to the Dentist in the past until I had a filling done with the LASER in Dr Chacon's office - because I didn't even realize how much I dreaded it until I had a filling done with this laser. Such a difference getting dental work done now. I can't believe the things I suffered all those years ( I have had six decades of dental work done and never realized how much pain and anxiety I went through, until now) ...But because I found Dr Chacon and have experienced how easy and comfortable dental work can be with his laser unit, I will NEVER go to anyone again that doesn't use a LASER. I want to thank Dr Chacon for doing such a wonderful thing for his patients. This is truly the future in dentistry. I also want to tell him what a wonderful experience he and his whole office has made for me every time I come. Their office is always so inviting, beautiful, and clean. From the time I walk in till the time I leave every minute is so comfortable welcoming and relaxing, yes I said relaxing!!! Francis at the front desk is so knowledgeable and I have never had any problem with my insurance or my bill; she always answers any question and I have never had any surprises. All the staff is AWESOME. They really make you feel like you are part of their family. I can't say enough good about this office. I am so happy I found them. Don't be afraid to go to this dentist. I have been going to Dr. Chacon for 30 years and he is the best and most caring dentist. All of the precautions have been taken in these covid times. PPE, defogging disinfectant, etc. Believe me, you are more likely to infect Dr. Chacon or his staff than the opposite. But even in the best of times you could not find a more skilled dentist. The staff make you feel like family in the way you are treated. Great hygienists, comfortable office with the latest equipment. I feel really lucky that Dr. Chacon is my dentist. read more

They billed my insurance without my permission. When I met with the doctor he was quite cold and berated me about the state of my teeth. He was very pushy and demanding after I told them that I wanted a full quote of potential services before they ran my dental insurance. I also told them not to bill my insurance until I told them to do so. I didn't authorize any payments to be taken from my account. I was sent to this place on a referral and I regret even taking the time off from work to attend this appointment. This establishment is money hungry and doesn't respect the wishes of potential customers. It was the first and the LAST time I will ever step foot in this dental office. read more

Dr. Chacon has moved from San Leandro to Dublin. How fortunate for those of us in the Tri-Valley area because he's the best dentist that I have ever had, and over the years I've had more than a few. He's both competent and personable, and his office has up-to-date equipment. The dental hygienists are so nice and gentle when they have that all that dental gear in your mouth. Our whole family goes to Dr. Chacon and they are all as happy with him as I am. The office is beautifully designed and decorated. How unusual for a dental office. I've been twice now. The first time I brought my toddler and they were very patient and friendly. Although my daughter wouldn't let them come near with any tools, she was comfortable with sitting in the chair. I've come in for cleanings and their lobby is always clean and Mrs. Chacon, the receptionist, is always helpful and friendly. I love everyone there. I just had my teeth cleaned again here as I have every six months for years. I do it because I know how important ti is for my health and I also actually enjoy the people in this office! No kidding. It was a treat this visit to be greeted by Donyell, the dental assistant. She is usually assisting Dr, Chacon, but he and Frances were gone for the day, so she was covering the front desk. She greeted me with a big smile on the way in, just as Frances has done every time I have entered the office. It was really great getting a chance to talk with her before Teri, one of the the dental hygienists, came out to get me. Then, when Teri had finished doing her pain-free miracle cleaning, Donyell and I had a chance to talk a little longer because the next patient had yet to arrive. I just cannot say enough about the wonderful people at this office. Teri cleans my teeth with care and sensitivity to my needs, and we laugh a lot when I don't have instruments in my mouth!
