Coffee and donuts are both superb. Coffee is delicious, rich and tasty. Donuts are fresh, soft, and not super sweet which I love! The dough is light and the toppings are delightful. I love all the options they have and struggle to just choose one so I often leave with 2 or 3! My favorites are the Classy AF , coffee and cake and the OG. The OG is their classic donut which is light and fluffy with a French vanilla type glaze. The Classy is probably my favorite, it's their OG donut with a light mascarpone filling and dollop of peach jelly on top. The coffee and cake is a cake donut which is dipped in espresso and has a thicker glaze on top with crumbs! I'm a sucker for a cake donut. I've noticed a guy that looks like the owner/manager working just about every time I go in and he always greets customers, and is very on top of making sure the staff is cleaning and running everything properly. That is great to see! I love supporting local businesses but do find that some are not worth the hype, or very overpriced. Blackline seems fairly priced, and you can tell everything is handmade and fresh. WAY worth the hype! The staff is also very friendly and the place is very clean! This place is a must try! read more

So excited about a new independent coffee shop in our area! The donuts are very good--the two best I've tried are Classy and Cake and Coffee (I love a good cake donut!). The Classy is a must have--marscapone and peach preserves topping. Amazing!! BUT, if you're not into donuts you can definitely go just for the coffee. The latte is one of the best I've had in this area. I like just a plain latte with whole milk and the espresso tastes amazing!! Blackline coffee is on the level of downtown Houston independent coffee shops. I'll be making this my regular morning coffee stop from now on! read more

I am the Keith Lee of sweets. I tried it let's rate it 1/10. I prematurely rated these donuts before I got them. I gave them 5 star rating. That changed to 1 as soon as I bit into the first donut. I have to say these were extremely underwhelming. I can't stress enough how disappointing these donuts were. Seeing as though I'm a baker I'm gonna go through each donut and tell you how you can improve. Lavender lemon donut 1/10 Had zero lemon flavoring! it was nowhere in the donut. Maybe add some lemon extract to the icing or lemon zest in the sugar overnight to get that lemon flavor infused in the donut? Grasshopper brioche 2/10 - I love mint flavored stuff it's my absolute favorite I was so excited to try that one and that excitement immediately left as soon as I bit into that donut. I have zero words like the donut had zero flavor. I will say the filling was ok but could've been a little more minty. Maybe use a good quality chocolate or use a ganache topping ? I'm guessing maybe you used chocolate extract in some regular glaze ? If not well then that's bad. Cereal Milk donut 2/10 Regular donut super stale cereal. There was another donut that was super colorful like a unicorn but it was plain in flavor. But the colors gave it should've been fruity. All in all multiple people tried them at the hospital I work at and we all have the same opinion. Very lackluster. pretty to look at but lacks so much flavor. I won't be back like ever. The everything donut 0/10 was SO F*CKING salty it was unbearable ! Every single person that tried it immediately spat it out !! It was that salty. Please take this opinion seriously. Either get a new baker or something but please get back in the lab and lock in! read more

I am obsessed! This place is not your ordinary coffee or donut shop at all! They did AMAZING in capturing the funkiness of Austin, the Chill atmosphere of Galveston and the deliciousness of Foody town Houston. From the donut bar where you can watch the cooks creating pastries like an art to the delicious coffee made with purpose. I recommend this place to anyone looking for the taste and experience of a unique coffee and donut bar. Great gifting ideas. I met 2 friends for a morning chat and coffee. It was the first time there for all of us. We each had their regular coffee. All three of us prefer our coffee strong and black. It was sooooo good!! The smells of their baked goods was heavenly although we didn't give into the temptation, it all looked amazing. The guy who worked behind the counter and who served us was very helpful and friendly. The ambience is cool but they don't have much indoor seating for larger groups, they do have outdoor seating as well but it was a cold winter morning so we stayed inside. If you want donuts that are baked and not fried this place is your best bet. The donuts were OK. But I ordered a cappuccino and they give me an espresso shot and I didn't realize until I got home. For me, I probably will never go back. I prefer my donuts to be fried. But the staff was really nice despite messing up my coffee order. I bought half a dozen donuts and one cappuccino and my bill was $20. That should give you a good ideal about the prices. read more

The atmosphere is familial, and the smell of donuts baking is amazing. I got drip coffee which was rich and delish, and this is the first place that's ever put enough cream in my coffee from jump. I've tried the lemon poppy and everything donuts, I can't decide which is my favorite, they were both delightfully different than any donut I've tried. Love the donuts...the coffee is just ok. And they have a large menu with no explanation of what the drinks are. The cashier seemed a little annoyed that I ask what was in each drink. Maybe consider a menu in plain sight that explains each drink. It's a cute little place with beautiful decor...but i think the vibe as a coffee shop is somewhat lacking...there is something missing with the vibe but I can't put my finger on it read more

This should be viewed as a 4.5 star review. The donuts are pretty stellar. I honestly think they made the best cake donuts I have ever had! The raised donuts are also delicious. The classy AF topping could be eaten straight up. My only issue is the price/donut. The coffee is pretty good. Really enjoyed the donuts here. Tried the OG, texas pecan and there savory everything bagel. They were all excellent! I need to come back and try all the others. I also got the cereal milk latte and that was wild. You get the espresso then the aftertaste is like you just had a bowl of fruit loops. Best latte I have ever had. Staff was extremely friendly and it's so cool you it's a completely open kitchen so you can watch them making the donuts. They have a really nice and casual atmosphere. It's not loud so you can talk with your friends easily or even work. read more
