Great coffee, cool vibes. Everyone that works here is so kind. The pastries are so yummy!!! I enjoy working here. They have fast WiFi, it's relaxing, they have outdoor seating (I wish there was more shade), and a big bar with many outlets. It's not too loud or busy. Check them out.

The doughnuts seemed so good, I was curious about the Bergamot Bliss but we ended up getting savory Everything Bagel doughnut and Kolache. The kolache was okay, was kind of weirded out by half a sausage (all places I've been to normally have a full one) and it would definitely benefit from being warmed up. Didn't know if that was an options since that wasn't offered. LOVED (!!!!) the Everything Bagel doughnut. I asked our barista whether it was good and she said she liked it so went with her recommendation and boyyyy this didn't disappoint. I didn't expect it to be this good. I loved the Matcha latte with Ube sweet cream, but beware of purple stains

This place was a random good find. The special menu coffee here was really good topped with ube! On top of that the everything donut was also really good. The dough was just sweet enough to pair with the savory toppings. The kolache tasted like a kolache, nothing special but would have been better if it was warmed up. Indoor and outdoor seating is available here. Baristas were really nice and helpful on the menu choices.

I frequent Backline Coffee & Donuts for their consistently excellent service, food, and coffee. They proudly serve local beans from Seabrook Coffee Company, which is a nice touch. I do wish they offered more house-made syrup options. Their donuts and baked goods are perfectly executed, with a great mix of sweet and savory choices. The baristas clearly know their craft, consistently pouring hot lattes with well-made latte art to match. The shop itself has a rugged, bro-coffee-shop vibe that may not be for everyone, but it fits their brand well. Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Food: 5/5 Coffee: 4/5

I don't often travel thia far south unless I'm headed to the island. But I had a reason to be there, and this place happened to be just across the street. It's on an end lot recessed from the rest of the strip, so it's easy to miss if you're driving by. On the other side are railroad tracks. I had to do a u-turn or two to figure out where I was I was going. They do have dedicated parking, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. On a lovely day. It would be a great place to sit with some shade and some beans. The place is pretty decent sized so it shouldn't be a problem to find a spot if you wanted to dine in. I didn't stay long enough to see if they have Wi-Fi, so I can't comment on that. They have seasonal specials in addition to their normal menu. Haley (spelling? Sorry if it's wrong) was my barista for the day. Maple and sage latte, on ice with oat milk. It was fantastic. I've never had sage in my coffee before. I also purchased a blueberry scone, and a blue berry donut as gifts, sonic ant comment on those foods. I did get myself a sausage cheese and jalapeno kolache. It was delicious. The jalapenos are sweet and spicy, and the sausage was legit. Highly recommend. An excellent spot if in you're in the Webster area, highly recommend, and I will be back whenever I'm on that side of town for a brew.

Classy A.F. Donut and Brown Bear Cold Brew

We visited this place on a Saturday morning, there wasn't a bunch or parking and the inside was pretty crowded. All of the donuts looked delicious and had a smooth sugary glaze on top of some. The place also had cute shirts and stickers for sale, and a box of little plant starters (when available) for customers to grab. I ordered the Classy A.F donut which had a mascarpone and berry jam on top. It was perfect but definitely left me with a sugar overload afterwards. I asked the cashier what their favorite iced drink was and she recommended the Brown Bear, which was a great recommendation. Very good. Overall, this place was a great stop, will probably be a little crowded inside, so expect a little bit of a wait, but it was worth it.

Stopped at Blackline before going to the Houston Space Station (only 5 minutes away, incredibly convenient) and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, they were out of espresso so I had to go with a cold brew instead of and iced latte which is not usually my drink of choice. It was fine, but I wish I could have tried their espresso. The donuts were pretty good. I do think their cake donut batter (I have their apple cider donut) was very dry and a little bit hard to eat without a drink. I also thought the flavoring was not as strong, but I'm used to the East Coast Apple Cider donuts so I'm not sure if I'm the best judge. Their yeasted dough however, was very good. The salted chocolate was awesome and the flavoring perfectly suited the brioche dough. Not the best donut place I've ever been to, but definitely a very good spot, and especially perfect if you need a quick breakfast before going to the Space Station.

I'm not exactly a donut connoisseur by any means but I've tried a lot of donut shops in many metropolitan cities in the States including VooDoo Donuts. This donut shop, however, is definitely on my list of top 3 donut shops. Their glazed donut was my favorite as it was perfectly fluffy and light, not to mention massive. These donuts are thicker and wider than the average Krispy Kreme donut. Also, their iced coffee does a fantastic job of cutting the sweetness. Make sure to give Blackline a try if you're ever nearby and feel an itch for some coffee and donuts.

I love coffee and I love supporting local businesses. I've been visiting places a few times before reviewing, especially if I'm not wowed on the first visit. With Blackline, I visited three times because I really wanted to give them a chance. 1st visit: I ordered the Basic B. It's an almond cold brew with vanilla. I didn't love it, but was able to drink it. The barista that made my drink was nice, but before she made my drink, she was petting a customer's puppy. I don't know if she washed her hands before making my drink, but I really hope she did. 2nd visit: I had an Iced Brown Bear with oat milk. It's a latte with house made cinnamon and honey. Again, I didn't love it but I was able to drink it. 3rd visit: I ordered my default Iced White Mocha and opted for oat milk. Whenever I'm trying a new coffee place, I like to order a white mocha to see how it compares to other places. The first few sips had sort of a burnt taste but it got better after I took a few more sips and stirred it. I wanted to try a pastry, but they were nearly sold out and the pastries that were left didn't peak my interest. I was kind of surprised they were already running low on pastries at 12:30p on a Saturday, but they do close pretty early (3p) so maybe that is the norm. The staff is friendly and are nice about explaining the menu. They will also bring your drink to you after you order which is very considerate. The shop itself is moderate in size. They have a few tables and a couch inside. There's a little bar area with some bar stools. It seems like most people are there to hang out and mingle. I recall only seeing one or two people working or studying. They also have a small patio out front with four picnic tables. Parking isn't great. It is located in the same shopping strip as Nobi Public House and Hyde Park. Many of the spots are reserved for various businesses. I believe Blackline has about 3 spots that are reserved for to go. The business is a bit hidden behind the liquor store and you almost feel like you're leaving the shopping complex before you finally get to Blackline. I have seen cars park on the side street when the lot is full. Some of the spots near NASA Pkwy retain water (probably from the nearby construction), so don't be surprised if you're having to step through puddles. I wanted to love this place, but the coffee fell a little short for me. Despite not loving it, I would still go back if in the area. I would like to try a pastry, so I will eventually go back for another visit.

Blackline Coffee & Donuts is my favorite coffee/donut shop in the Webster/Clear Lake area! Trust me and try this place asap! They offer a lot of different specialty coffees, as well as a variety of brioche or cake donuts. My real favorite here though is their sausage, cheese, and jalapeno kolaches, I get one every single visit. Coffee wise I really like their cereal milk latte, lavender latte, or oatmeal cream pie latte. For donuts, I recommend their salted chocolate donut, "cake and coffee" donut, classy AF donut, or their scones. Long story short, try everything here! I've never had a single bad item from here whether it's coffee, donuts, or anything in between. The service is always fast, and the ambiance is cozy. 10/10 would recommend, enjoy!

Great atmosphere, service and super yummy donuts and coffee. We came with our 3 kids and we were pleasantly supportive at how family friendly it was!

I've had this place on my radar since it has opened and finally got the chance to check them out. It's located in Clearlake, on the corner of a shopping strip. It is super easy to miss as I drove right by it and had to get on the Google machine to see exactly where it was at. The parking spots out front is for to go orders and hang out parking is a little further down. They have a nice sized patio out front as well as comfortable seating inside. Customer service was ok. They weren't super friendly but did point me in the right direction as far as my coffee choice went. I was in the mood for straight, strong coffee with no dairy and they pointed me in the direction of the Basic B. It's a vanilla and almond cold brew. It was served in a glass with ice and looked like tea. Upon first sip I could tell they use quality coffee. It had just a hint of the vanilla and almond but didn't need any sweetener in my opinion. It gave the extra pep in my step that I was looking for. Their donuts looked delicious and it was hard for me to choose just one donut. They're known for their brioche style donuts but I ended up getting two cake donuts. Looking back, I wish I tried two different styles. I got the Almond Crumb and Cake & Coffee donuts. Both flavor profiles were very similar but delicious nonetheless. It reminded me of eating cake donuts while traveling the Midwest. They had a few savory items that I want to try next time. Overall, this place is a great addition to the Clearlake area as they mostly have chains. I will definitely come back!

Digging this new coffee shop in the area. Still fairly new and came on a Sunday mid morning and there was a line that we waited in a bit. Love the bench option outside to sit when it isn't raining but not sure how it will be with Houston summers with no umbrella or fans. Cute seating inside, however right in between the bar and restrooms is kind of a weird seating dead space. I feel like the space could be utilize better. With the foot traffic, definitely not enough seating. It's located in the same shopping center as Hyde park and nobie but at other end. I almost passed it up. They might benefit from placing a sign with an arrow saying blackline this way. Donuts: Would love to see mini options or a sampler. So many to try and sometimes I don't want to commit to one big donut. I can't remember the name of the two donuts I tried but being a huge Shipley's fan, I really enjoyed the donuts. Soft, fluffy, and delicious. Coffee: I ordered the black bear which was pretty good. I had asked for cereal milk but I think I got a cereal milk latte. Was supposed to be for my 2 year old daughter. She loved it till I tried it and was like uhhh I taste coffee. Quickly had to divert her away from it. Definitely glad to see another coffee option in Webster and definitely will be making frequent visits.

The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond explaining the drinks to me and how they tasted so I could make a good choice. I was stuck between a cookie butter latte and a coconut latte. While I don't usually love overly sweet drinks, I am a cookie butter latte lover. However, since I was getting some bakery items, I decided to go with the less sweet option, so I chose the coconut. It was delicious! The cold foam was so fluffy, almost like whipped cream. The addition of toasted coconut flakes made it the perfect drink. I got the cookie butter cheesecake, Earl Grey tiramisu, and the Matilda (chocolate cake). The Matilda cake was not good, neither my husband or I liked it, and I have never thrown out chocolate cake. It was very dry and had an odd taste (try the Matilda cake at Cactus Jack's! omg), which was very disappointing (and it wasn't cheap!). The Earl Grey tiramisu was much better; it had a nice flavor with a beautiful purple color. I loved the flavor of the cookie butter cheesecake; however I didn't taste any cheesecake flavor, and the texture wasn't cheesecake-like at all, it was more like a cookie butter pudding; but it was my favorite dessert of all and despite the misnomer, I did love it! I would definitely order the cookie butter "cheesecake" again, 5 stars for that for devine flavor! Overall I loved Cherry Moon's coffee and I look forward to going back and trying the cookie butter latte.

The little toasted coconut flakes are such a good addition to the drink too as they add an extra toasty flavor and umph to an otherwise already yummy drink. The decor of the cafe was also so cutesy and girly- perfect for catch ups with friends and possibly taking new pics for the socials! I also saw a couple people working/studying. Staff was really sweet and our matchas were ready so quickly but still tasted good. Cherry Moon also has a drive thru! If I lived on this side of town, I'd probably pass by the drive thru for the coconut matcha every morning..

Food: I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu Baked Pasta, and it was pure comfort. Creamy, cheesy, and generously portioned, with tender chicken and ribbons of ham woven throughout. My daughter chose the Strawberry Nutella® Crêpe, which felt like a little celebration on a plate. Light, delicate, and just sweet enough. My husband went with the French Dip au Caramelized Onions. The beef was tender, the onions perfectly sweet, and the jus rich enough to make every bite worth dipping. We couldn't resist taking home pastries, and they were just as lovely later that evening. Service: Friendly and efficient. Orders came out promptly, and the staff kept the line moving without making the experience feel rushed. Ambiance: Cozy and inviting, with the feel of a neighborhood café. The pastry case greets you as soon as you walk in, and the scent of coffee and baked goods makes it hard not to linger. First of all, what restaurant does not have sausage and bacon when they have the breakfast menu out? How does that happen exactly? Even if the Sysco truck did not bring it, the manager is not aware of H‑E‑B? I mean, go pick some up. At the very least, tell customers, up front, there is no bacon or sausage when they order. Not when they have gone through the line to pay. "Uh. Did anyone mention we do not have sausage?" Me: "No. I'll have bacon then." Him: "Um. We don't have bacon either. How about turkey bacon?" Nobody likes turkey bacon. They plated the scrambled eggs, French toast, and the offending turkey bacon all on one small plate. Normally pancakes or French toast comes on its own plate so it is not tainted with runny eggs or greasy bacon. The Croque Madame was dry, room temperature, and generally disappointing. It was like it was cooked 5 hours prior. The Cesar salad's lettuce tasted of chemicals. Though not crowded, service was horrible. There was not one employee who smiled nor said anything nice at all. To anyone. Ever. Then I saw the manager who looked so miserable and like he did not want to be there. None of those employees had actual printed name tags. All, including the manager, had to write their name on their tags. What place doesn't have printed name tags. It's like their employees are temporary and disposable. And guess what? The lack of service, lack of basic breakfast foods, and cold food reflects all of that. Frankly I did not see anyone one customer who appeared happy. Tables all around us spoke of their own disappointing experience. What has happened to La Madeleine? What I know is I cannot go back. There are too many good restaurants who actually want business. It's a miserable place filled with miserable employees making food that reflects all of that. It's been taken off our list of area restaurants to attend.
