I recently paid a visit to Dr. Cassol on the recommendation of my optometrist and primary care…read morephysician. At my (exact age to not be revealed), they said it's a good idea to have them checked for cataracts. Once contact it was only a couple of weeks before my appointment. Being one that likes early appointments, I selected 8am and arrived about 7:45 and I was lucky that they let me in (it was, like, seriously cold outside). After a bit of paperwork I was taken into an intake room of sorts where of the staff members (Caitlin?) took some information and dilated my eyes. Having your eyes dilated is not a pleasant thing, but I knew it was going to happen. Drops in the eyes and about 10 minutes later I was seeing colours I'd never seen before....and then they start shining REALLY BRIGHT light into your eyes. It is, at once, the most brilliant light you've ever seen as well as the some of the most painful. (it made sense in my mind). After they're done visually torturing your eyes you're taken to a very nice little waiting area before you see Dr. Cassol. The waiting area has some comfortable chairs, a coffee maker, and a small refrigerator with small bottles of water. It's also nicely decorate and not over-done. There's a television, as well. I didn't wait very long (maybe 10 minutes) before I was taken back to see the good doctor. Dr. Cassol reviewed the results of the tests that the previous eye-torturers did and asked a few questions. He took the time to understand why I was there and looked into my eyes again. After a brief exam he said that everything look well and that my eyes tested at 20/15 (better than I had anticipated) and said he'd see me back in two years. For an 8:00 a.m. appointment, this went very well and I was out the door before 9:00 a.m. I wish all my appointments went so smoothly! All of the staff were friendly and professional, Dr Cassol's expertise showed through, and the facility is very laid back and relaxed. My first visit to Cassol Eye was a great experience. See you again in two years!

All I can say is a huge Thank You to DR Cassol and his staff along with the nurses and dr. at the surgery center

Dr. Woodruff is great and works with you to get the best vision you can. I had to try a few different manufacturers of contact lenses to find a new, good fit! i would recommend them for your eye care needs!

This review is nothing against the quality of medical care. However, this office is needs to be…read morecompletely retrained. Customer service, empathy or concern for actually following their own established policies seems to be selective. At the very minimum the staff is rude and biased. At the horrendously worst they are racially judgmental. Speaking very calm I was told that I was getting loud and angry. Immediately I was told that no longer discussion was warranted and that I needed to talk to the office manager due to my "heated and loud" demeanor. I deal in conflict management daily at my job and even informed the clerk that I was displeased at the situation, but that a disagreeing perspective does not equate to loud or even angry in tone. I have had mixed experiences with the staff during my 15 plus years of treatment, but have never been treated like this. There generally has been a feeling of greater than thou or elitism instead of an everyone is welcome attitude. I at first equated that to having government insurance. I now have exceptional corporate insurance and treatment was not any different. I would have left and went elsewhere a long time ago if not for the care I received from my doctor. Dr. Woodruff has always been incredibly kind and caring. However, I will not be stereotyped. I am the very last to bring classism, race or any other type of prejudiced accusations into a situation unjustly but today's experience was putrid. To the office's credit, I could have been seen and dealt with the attitudes if I myself had been to my appointment exactly on time or early. That is on me. I fully take that responsibility. Oh well. I may make a BBB complaint as well but there are plenty other eyecare facilities. My treatment will have to be postponed for another month or so and I am thankful it wasn't excessively, medically urgent. Except for possibly picking up my records; I will NOT be back her again. Sad.
